Cycling Managers?

Probably a weird request but does anyone know of any cycling managers? Preferably free to play but I would check out pay ones.

I own an old Cycling Manager for PC, I think they still make them, called 'Pro Cycling Manager 2007' or something now, but it is a game you have to buy. Ive never seen any free ones on the 'net.

Ahhh finally my love of the Cycling Manager comes to some good use.

The only Cycling Manager game on the PC worth even considering is the official one - Pro Cycling Manager. It's now up to '08 and this version is utterly brilliant. You have to like cycling but it's got all the teams, riders etc so you can build a squad, buy new cyclists etc and it's got an editor so I created an all-British team to get thrashed in the Tour de France.

I find the game totally compelling and hypnotising in a good way. I've not tried any cheaper or free alternatives but for me it's worth the 20 quid.

You can try and download it for free but as was already said, it's got an annoying piece of software written in that can tell if you're playing a hack. The swines.

I might have to check out this peloton online game though. Sounds great.

IT is doable, but it's a bitch. I read through some of the threads and torrent pages when they were doing '07, and it was just such a fucking effort, I told my dad to just buy it with the discount rather than faff around.

I think I did it for '06 but it was easier then and STILL took a load of effort. It's not worth it. Buy the game. They've won.

Probably, works for me though, maybe it's just I can read instructions unlike the majority of the asses that comment on the crack on the public torrent sites *dunno about the private ones though, guess they would be smarter people*

I know it's a massive topic bump but I've been considering getting an older version of the PCM series. Is it decent to play over a series of years and building a team? I think that's what I'd be most interested in.
