This is a horrid day.

Two relatively small-time deaths in the film world happened, but they were two people that I thought were awesome.

There's obviously Don LaFontaine, aka The Trailer Guy, who passed away at 68 and apparently due to some throat disease today, but there's a thread for that.

This thread is about Jerry Reed, aka Snowman from Smokey and the Bandit passing on. They are "minor deaths", but I fucking loved me some Jerry Reed. His songs were pretty hilarious for the most part (yes, he did make songs), and he was funny in the S&TB franchise.

Dammit.

May very well have been, but the two sources I got the info from said nothing about it; he was admitted to the hospital with a clot in his lung, and the source I read his obituary on said he died from complications from a collapsed lung.
