Behold! The new epic E3 Game Trailer!

EDIT: Video taken down. I'll try and replace it with a better one when it comes around

Crazy thing is, the Sith Lord survives this one. He's the same guy who lead the Sith Attack on the Jedi Temple in last years E3 trailer.

I desire to play it as an upright and gentlemanly green sabred Jedi.

However didn't the last Star Wars online game demand that you played for months as some non-entity before you were ever allowed within touching distance of a light sabre?

That was Galaxies, and yes it did - until they released the New Game Enhancements, which a lot of people viewed as retarded.

Also, it didn't make much sense for there to be tons of Jedi running around in Galaxies due to the timeline - it was set around the time of the original trilogy. This one is set some three and a half thousand years before the prequels, so you can Jedi/Sith it up as much as you want.

I'm hoping for a 14 day trial, because I already play EVE and I don't think I could justify paying for two MMOs.

Everyone gets their own Starship: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-star-wars/101637

Regarding Starships not only does everyone get one, but it basically serves as your character's central base of opperations. A lot of interaction with your companion characters will happen here.

Played as an Imperial Agent and basically wasted my fifteen minutes being woefully inept (the strafing and turning buttons were the opposite of what I was used to in MMOs). Cover system felt a little awkward to actually use, but I imagine if I had done more than like two minutes of combat (as opposed to my like five minutes of wandering around the starting area like a moron) I would have figured it out.

I'm still kinda torn between playing Smuggler and Imperial Agent first. I've heard the IA story is really good. Smuggler's just seem all kinds of awesome, I mean they have a move where they kick the enemy in the junk. Plus they get a Mon Calamari companion, it's like rolling with Admiral Ackbar.

After DC Im torn on whether to get this, since I too dont feel comfortable paying monthly for a game I cant really get anything back from (Xbox games I can trade back in, albeit for a lower amount). DC Universe turned me off on monthly pay MMOs, but this is looking very tempting. It would probably help some of my friends are thinking of getting it, so if Im able to co-op it with them then it could be a better seller since co-op makes games at least 40x more fun than soloing (Borderlands, for example).
