They're actually giving them Harper but he's just got Given on the back of his shirt. Given's staying at Newcastle and will wear Harper.

It's all an elaborate ploy to use the fact they look the same to their advantage.

Oh and apparently me and Phil Bardsley were separated at birth. <_<

Steve Harper is finally going to be the Newcastle #1 after waiting around for like 100 years. :D

If he's been waiting for 100 years what's he doing still playing?

It makes the MLS look second rate because it is second rate, there's no getting around it.

 That wasn't the point. There are some of us that actually know this, and the McBride move is an example of the "one step forward, two steps back" that's been going on with MLS. Just when they appear to have something right, they pull some crap like this. It's one thing to be second rate because your league isn't even 15 years old and your country is still growing into the fact that it's ok to like the sport. It's another thing entirely to be second rate because you cut one of your legs off out of shear stupidity. This is the latter. Fuckin Gazidis leaving is going to kill the player decisions the league makes.

Anyway, I'm really getting tired of Wenger being about as apathetic as you can get. What a bitch. Sign the fucker, YOU NEED HIM.

Mail Online, midnight, Sunday night:

Tottenham had a £15million offer for Robbie Keane accepted by Liverpool on Sunday night and he is expected to sign on at White Hart Lane on Monday.

It will complete one of the most spectacular deals of the transfer window.

Just six months after Keane’s £20.3m move north, the striker left out of Liverpool’s squad for the 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday will return, giving Spurs a £5.3m profit on the deal.

Sportsmail understands Keane’s £90,000 a week salary was proving to be problematic but a solution has been found.

Tottenham’s highest paid player is Jonathan Woodgate on £70,000 a week, although £20,000 of that is still being subsidised by his former club Middlesbrough as part of the arrangement to sell him last January.

1) If this is true it's amazingly fantastic, even if we're seen as the club who will take him after his Liverpool failure (but his record for us speaks volumes...)

2) Middlesbrough are paying us 20 grand a week for us to keep Woodgate? Brilliant.

Arshavin on a private jet to london could we finally get him...heres hoping!!

He's doing it so if there's a chance Arsenal and Zenit pull there fingers out then he doesn't have to worry about travelling today to get to London before 5pm

Just a shame the main reason Defoe left was because he couldn't get in the team due to Keane., I bet he is happy. ;)

Redknapp is lazy. He's just buying back all the players from Jol's Spurs team.

He's going to arrive in London, which has all of 6 inches of snow (compared to God knows how many feet of the stuff back in Russia), and be told "sorry, we can't drive you to the Emirates or wherever because the weather has blocked the roads", to which he can only think "wtf is wrong with this country?"

I dunno. He left late last night, so I reckon he's in London by now. So now he has eight hours to get from Heathrow to Arsenal.

SOMEONE CALL CHALLENGE ANNEKA!!!!

Hahah, pictures of Arshavin standing outside a private airfield in Hertfordshire trying to make a phone call and sheepishly looking over to the cameraman.

EDIT: It was a hotel, actually.
