FUUUUUCK :(:(:(:(

I wanna go to Slam Dunk (which is that Sunday)...but fuck, I cannot miss Evolution...last year we saw fuck all bands and was still one of the most hilarious days I can remember having all summer. :(

"Twisted Wheel" are AMAZING. I caught them randomly at Leeds as they were on before "White Lies" (I also saw "Fight Like Apes" who were before Twisted Wheel, who indie-trendfucks are now wanking over, and thought they were shit :shifty:).

HOLY SHIT!!! MARINA & THE DIAMONDS!!!!!!!!!

...oooooh, apparently all the "Dance Shit" is happening on the Sunday, with Monday being like normal years...if that's the case, we might be able to hit up Slam Dunk on the Sunday and be back for Little Boots, Twisted Wheel, Marina & The Diamonds....fuck off...the line-up looks FAR TOO GOOD!! Where you find that? Seriously, I'm a bit suspicious, the line-up does seem a bit too good.

Same, I only saw Does It Offend You, Yeah? and New Young Pony Club, but the day as a whole was amazing fun. :)

Were you perhaps the impossibly drunk guy who got stretchered out of Baltic Square after DIOY,Y?'s set? :P

Nah. I was one of the cunts wandering around with a football (which we found while having a piss next to a church)...just shouting about "FOOTBALL" and asking people where the closest place to have a game of football was/getting people to head it, all sorts of football related things, which was allowed in Gateshead, but got confiscated at Newcastle. :( Great day...thinking back, what we were doing wasn't funny and pretty fucking annoying I guess, but given our state of mind at the time, was the funniest thing ever. :shifty:

Now theres a question, I'm not going to Evolution, but do I make the 45 min journey into Toon late on just to see The Week That Was? The answers probably no, but I am tempted. YI, I don't know if you've seen them before, but B>E>A>K are fucking dogshit. If they didn't have some vague Futureheads connection that I'm uncertain of the specifics of they wouldn't be top of even that bill.

I haven't seen B>E>A>K (and to be fair, Richard Dawson would be my personal pick by a mile) but I know someone who knows one of them, so I thought I might check them out. :shifty: To be fair, from their myspace they don't sound particularly bad. :/

I'll be honest, before I read that I suddenly thought 'the trumpet mans probably his brother', wasn't far off. If you like dull instrumentals with brass, coupled with very poor bird puns in between songs you'll love it. Thankfully when I saw them they were followed by Sky Larkin and Hot Club de Paris which lifted my spirits somewhat. The fact I saw The Music the very next night made it my best 24 hours of music 2008...

I picked up the most recent copy of NARC today and they had a section on Evolution Festival. I think EVERYBODY has overlooked the most important part of this 'festival weekend';

Saturday 23rd May @ O2 Academy (£10) - Under 18 clubnight...DJ Ironic and THE BLACKOUT CREW!!!

I might need to shave and pass myself off as £17. :shifty:

Does this mean "Bulletproof" wont be on either? If so, that's fucking GAY! I wanted to make a WHOLE weekend of it, the only way I'd be able to afford that would be going to Bullet on the Saturday. :( Probably for the best, means I can use Saturday to at least do some revision. :shifty:

Oh wait, no, it's 6-9pm, NARC just bollocksed up calling it a 'Club Night'...hahaha, Flip N' Fill and Blazin' Squad are there too...hahahaa, I wanna go. :(

Quite right. You don't get hairy £17 notes. >_>

DJ Ironik did that song with the most amazing lyrics. I miss it.

Anyway...Evolution news - I have purchased my train tickets so I am a definite to go. Unless I change my mind again.
