It's technically 'out' now <_<

Haven't got round to listening to it from start to finish yet... but from what I've heard it's pretty good: Dio's at his best, Iommi's tone is crisp yet brutal and the overall mix is perfect. In fact it actually reminds me more of Pantera than Heaven and Hell era Sabbath, only much more accessible.

Edit: just listened to a bass heavy song... it's epic!

That's not too surprising, actually. Iommi's solo material had a real Pantera-ish vibe to it, definitely had that kind of a groove, even before he started working with Phil Anselmo.

I'll probably check this out as an Iommi fan, but I really can't stand Dio, or anything Sabbath did after Sabbath Bloody Sabbath...and even by then they were patchy.

I can't say I'm an expert at this kind of music, I just go by the gut, like Bush :shifty: I listened to the entire album and nothing really stood out and nothing sucked, I'm not sure if that's a good thing though. It was just very generic and some songs seemed pretty frackin' similar. It could be one of those albums that you have to listen to a few times to really start to appreciate it.
