Keiths Stencils and Shit.

Figured the Lounge was probably bored of my stencils, so I'll bring them here...

If you somehow managed to miss them, here are my older ones that everyone has already

And here's the one I just knocked up...

It's a Skier in a Reservoir Dogs style silhouette. I'll have the ski pole wrap around to the back.

Quite happy with it, took a while to knock up in Photoshop. Will turn it into a stencil now.

That stuff is sweet. What do you do exactly? Just photoshop stuff then draw it on tracing paper, cut it out and spray paint? If so, what kind of spray paint or whatever do you use?

Thanks man, that's pretty much exactly what I do.

Basically I need to get the design onto thick paper first, so I usually just trace straight off my monitor onto tracing paper (actually baking paper, it's cheaper)...

Then transfer that onto some good quality paper. Cut it out with a scalpel...

Then fix it to my canvas (Shirt, hat, wall, whatever) and spray away.

If so, what kind of spray paint or whatever do you use?

At the moment, just acrylic spray. So eventually they fade, but I don't really mind at the moment as these shirts are only worn once. You can get fabric spray paint though...

You should scan your stencils for everyone to share. That is unless you sell this stuff on ebay (looking at your hat), then I would hide them away in an underground safe locked up in your secret stencil lair or something.

Absolutely could not get the hat to look right. Might add it later if I can figure it out.

I guess it's hard to get right cos it shouldn't work on Toejam's "head". It's like an impossible image and therefore hard to replicate.

That would be my guess anyway.

Yeah, also it's mostly white, and on a white t-shirt it's just not happening. I had a hard enough time with the gloves.

Ugh yeah. The gloves turned out okay though. The white on white of the hat would definitely be a nightmare.

I do now have two different converse stencils though, which is cool. I'ma keep those for future use.

I'm going to a White Stripes themed party on the weekend, I'm going to make some arts. I've taken one of the white stripes covers into Photoshop and reduced it to three colours.

Not quite sure what medium I'm going to paint in though. Could cut a stencil and spray paint, or paint it by hand in acrylic, or ink.. I have some foam as well, which might be cool, but I'm not sure how that would work.

Not sure yet, will decide in the morning.
