I really don't know where Liverpool can go from here to save the season. You're right, sacking Rafa won't magically change everything for the better, the club needs wholesale changes. But whilst Hicks & Gillett are still running things, there seems to be no way for Liverpool to turn it around. Having Torres, Gerrard and Benayoun out now is a huge blow, Maxi Rodriguez is gonna have to settle damn quickly, and if he can, Rafa must sign a striker.

We were shit today and probably deserved to go out, but the ref was terrible, every decision went Baggies way. I'm not sure the 1st goal went over the line. 2nd shouldn't have been a penalty. With the 3rd, this should never have counted, Ameobi gets taken down, clear penalty, not given. Ameobi stays down, the ref carries on and gives them a penalty and sends Ryan Taylor off. And to makes things worse minutes later he STOPPED play because a Baggies player was down

Holy fuck. To me it looked like Beckford was playing for it so much that I thought "there's no way that's a penalty", but on the replay it seemed as though Dawson did get the player. But Beckford was just so needlessly dramatic about it when he went down that it made me think the other way.

At first I thought it was a good tackle by Dawson at the end but after seeing the replay it probably was a penalty. Really should have wrapped things up in the first quarter of an hour, though it was great to see Pavlyuchenko not only play but score.
