Fair dues to Webber, I swear after the race he went over the radio "Not your second driver anymore, am I?

The phrase is "Fair do's" :shifty:

Good race, was nice to see the McLaren's come back to life following saturday, couple of things annoyed me. The safety car brought Vettel back in to contention and was the main reason he got points (did not want.), and that penalty against Alonso was horrible he should have been given a 5 second post race penalty, not that sack of shit drive through.

In other bits, great performance from Nico and Kobyashi again, lovely to see them getting points and a double points finish for Williams in Britiain, put a smile on my face.

Red Bull's Mark Webber cruised to a dominant victory in the British Grand Prix from McLaren's Lewis Hamilton.

The Australian took the lead at the start after making a better start than team-mate Sebastian Vettel.

Vettel's attempt to retain the lead around the outside of Copse led to a puncture that ruined his race.

Hamilton seized second after a poor start by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, while Mercedes' Nico Rosberg was third ahead of McLaren's Jenson Button.

Webber said over the team radio: "Not bad for a number two driver."

That was a reference to his unhappiness over the team's decision to take the only remaining new front wing off his car and give it to Vettel ahead of qualifying on Saturday.

Heh, I love Webber and can't stand Vettel so this weekend has turned out very pleasantly after the qualifying situation between the two of them.

Also, Button puts in a fantastic drive for fourth, I just wish he could actually qualify decently from time to time.

Really, really awesome race live. The crowd quite literally erupted when Vettel had his 'misfortune'. Went with an uncle and his friends - who knew a couple of people in the Virgin and Lotus pits - they both gave him souvenirs from their garages - a wheel aligner thingy (how technically described) from Virgin and I believe some kind of starter from Lotus.

So glad that F1 never got to Donington. God I love Silverstone!

Sucks for Kubica. He could have easily made it 4th or 5th...

I disagree with everyone on the re-feulling. I love that they have gotten rid of it. It means that it's closer racing throughout. Not usually #1/#2, but then again there has been more of that this year then previous years, as everyone is always running close, instead of staggered over the circuit from re-fuelling stops at different times.

Interestingly, the press release said that he was "likely" to be back at races later in the season. So that sounds more like Yamamoto is going to be around a little bit longer than just Hockenheim. Also, Toro Rosso have said that Buemi & Alguesuari are racing for them in 2011, but now Buemi's saying that he's not agreed anything yet (apparently Renault want him).

Renault could also be in for Timo Glock though.

I'm thinking HRT could do what Red Bull did back in their debut season (2005) - alternative drivers.

They had Coulthard as their main driver and kept swapping between Liuzzi and Christian Klien. They're obviously trying to figure out their strongest combination for next year. Wouldn't be suprised to see Klien (incidentally HRT's other test driver) race in upcoming rounds as well.

Didn't they very quickly realise that Klien was far superior in the car to Liuzzi though and stick with him for the majority of the season? Also, I'm pretty sure that was an already established plan that they were going to do that, this seems like HRT making it up as they go along.

Former McLaren driver David Coulthard led the team. Coulthard was chosen for his experience, considered ideal to help lead the fledgling team. For the second car, Red Bull shared the drive between two of its young sponsored drivers: Christian Klien, who had driven for Jaguar in 2004 and 2004 F3000 champion Vitantonio Liuzzi. At first it was announced that Klien and Liuzzi would swap driving duty every four races, but by the end of the season Liuzzi had appeared only four times.

Wikipedia.

I can only think that HRT are using this season to assess their options for next year when they might actually have a raceable car.

All Timing Unofficial[/code] Adrian Sutil will get a five-place grid penalty his Force India team had to replace his gearbox. The German managed to complete just two untimed laps in final practice before a driveshaft failure forced him to stop. The failure has resulted in the team having to replace the gearbox therefore Sutil will be penalised after qualifying.

Vettel pole at his home race, massive improvement from Ferrari, and Schumacher not even making Q3 at his home race.

Timo Glock has been handed a ten-place grid penalty his team fitted a new gearbox to his car before qualifying. The German had qualified 20th. That change alone meant that Glock would start from the back of the grid, but his Virgin Racing team also fitted a different seventh gear ratio from the one declared on Friday - which means he will get an additional five-place penalty. Glock's team-mate Lucas di Grassi is also set to be handed a penalty for a gearbox change that will be required tonight after problems he encountered in qualifying.

The FIA stewards also gave Mark Webber a reprimand after qualifying for exceeding the maximum permitted time between the two safety car lines on his qualifying lap that he had aborted following his first corner error. "It was to do with my in-lap, after I made a mistake," said the Australian. "I was a little bit too slow between the two sector lines because I was letting people through as I didn't want to destroy anyone's laps."

Virgin's may as well start back at Silverstone <_<

Team orders yet again...why can't they just let them race? I'm not surprised that Rob Smedley has got the hump on at the garage.

Not looking like a good weekend for Red Bull this. Yt another pole position not capitalised on plus Webber is going to lose ground on both Hamilton & Button.

Guest Mr. Potato Head

So, does Jacques Villeneuve have a really grating personality or something? Why does a former F1 champ have so much trouble finding a ride, but PEDRO DE LA ROSA keep getting chances?
