Managers to be sacked: Moyes and Sturrock.

Player of the season: Kezman.

Flop of the season: Either Josemi or Drogba.

Drogba actually looked quite good against Zaragoza - seemed quite smart with the ability to do cheeky little runs. Unfortunately Kezman didn't play so I couldn't compare directly, I'd still choose Kezman and Gudjohnson to start.

Predictions:

1st: Arsenal, because I'm cynical, and I don't want to jinx it. If Vieira leaves though, as it seems he now will, it could be a different story.

2nd: Chelsea, because if Mourinho bags the title in his first season he'll become unbearable. <_<

3rd: Manchester United, because for me they haven't strengthened themselves enough to improve, but no-one else is good enough to best them either.

First Weekend of the Season

Sat 14th August

Tottenham 2-2 Liverpool

Norwich 0-1 Crystal Palace

Portsmouth 1-2 Birmingham

Aston Villa 1-1 Southampton

Blackburn 2-0 West Brom

Bolton 3-2 Charlton

Man City 1-1 Fulham

Middlesbrough 3-1 Newcastle

Sun 15th August

Everton 0-3 Arsenal

Chelsea 2-1 Man Utd

As for Chelsea v Man Utd in particular - van Nistelrooy, Saha, Solksjaer, Brown, and Miller are injured. Heinze and Ronaldo are at the Olympics. Fletcher and Ferdinand are banned. Meanwhile Chelsea's only injury is Joe Cole, and Kezman's 3 match ban doesn't start until after the Man Utd game.

Oh yes. :smug:

Predictions:

1st - Arsenal - We've got the better team, and it work's so well together. Vieira won't be going if you ask me, but if by some small chance he does, Fabregas looked really good against Man Utd yesterday, so he could be used in that role. It'd be a big loss...but I don't see Vieira going.

2nd - Man Utd - Never count them out, and I can see them actually making a real challenge this season. They'll be a lot better than last season, but it won't be enough to dismount Arsenal IMO.

3rd - Chelsea - With all the players they bought, time to gel is needed. I said that last year, and they finished second which was WAY more than I expected, but having said that, I expect Man Utd to finish above them.

Relegated -

18th - Crystal Palace (I hope not though!)

Winners: Arsena

Runners Up: Man Utd

Third: Liverpool/Chelsea

Player of the Season: Djibril Cisse or Alan Smith

Flop of the Season: Drogba. I don't think he'll play terribly, I just don't think he'll live up to £24 million.

1st - Liverpool - The most underated team in the world today if you ask me. They are always seen as a lower team today and yet if you look at there side you realise they can easily be the champions. If the new manager plays Baros and Owen and Cisse in upfront posistions, Kewell in an attacking role, Gerrard in a defensive role and other stuff then they can pull it off.

2nd - Man Utd - Another team who everyone underates today. Not much to say, they wont have a bad season though.

3rd - Arsenal - They'll be settling for third this year if you ask me. Sure they have a world class team, but the people saying they are the best in the world are just wrong.

I got my season ticket the other day, and I'm fired up for the new season now, I can't wait for the season to begin.

I think Arsenal will do fine to start with without Viera, but they'll miss him towards the end of the season when his class usually shines through, and who could replace such a player? I heard rumours of possibly Maniche.

And the first goal of the new Premiership season goes to Mr. Djibril Cisse of Liverpool. I have Mendes on my Fantasy Football team, so it'd be nice if he could put a little effort in for Spurs in the last 25 minutes please... :shifty:
