I'm only a few days into that blog and it's bringing back the memories.. I love these stories of people on their first adventures

My favourite is still X's youtube adventure (linked on page 1)

MAkes me want to attempt this challenge, but knowing that I die often... May be a bit more difficult that I thought.

* Fixed a horrible chunk reload loop in singleplayer

So Sousa's diary got me interested in this, I went to the site and played the demo thingy there and oh my god this game would be so much fun......if I didn't have to play with my keyboard, I REALLY can't stand playing a game with a keyboard. Looks like I'll just have to follow other people's games to see this stuff.

I'm not sure what's going to happen with my diary--presumably, none of the mines in my area will have lapis lazuli. Even so, I haven't explored much yet, so new chunks will obviously have a chance of spawning the stuff.

Here's some new stuff:

Coniferous trees!

As many colored dyes as I could make without lapis lazuli!

This is from a new game, by the way, not the survival game.

Yeah, I've seen multicolor sheep. You can apparently use the dye to paint sheep, too.

One thing I found while exploring the new world is that the new trees have different bark on the outside. The top and bottom textures are the same, but the pine trees have darker wood (and seem to grow taller), which birch trees have white bark (and grow at about the same rate and height as regular trees). Still haven't seen a squid, but I suspect I will in this new world, since all of my construction so far has been under ice/water.

Climbing spiders are awesome. I actually prefer it. They climb slowly anyway, so they're easier to cap.

Anyone finding drop rates smaller, though? I played for a couple of hours yesterday, killed a bunch of spiders, only ended up with two string.

Did find a dungeon right under my underwater research center, though. (H)
