Railed up to the current end point but have some chores so that's all I could do this evening.

Mad Jack: Nothing in the chest at the terminus? Not a big deal, just wondering if you put it in the right chest, or if someone's pilfered it?

Ah, the terminus is the big stone and brick building near my base, it'll be where all the tracks meet. 535x; 68z.

I procrastinated my chores and got to within a couple hundred blocks of ADgray's. Haven't railed much of that, but the first track is nearly complete So far it crosses 4 ravines/caverns (to my count). One I discovered mostly by chance and was fortunate to be able to forge over with stone bricks and VERY careful use of the shift key.

When you're holding shift you can't fall off, I found this out last night when I tried to throw myself into a chasm and couldn't.

Also means I'm going to have to build a railway station.

The first railway line has been completed! 4 minutes, 38 seconds from one end to the other.

I once used the nether to creat a subway system. If you find the way from one portal to the other you can save gigantic amount of time.

That is more efficient but as a general rule I don't like lava flows and track-bound Zombie Pigmen interrupting my rails >_<

I'm a little flooded with work and study at the moment but when I get back to the project I can start converting the project cobblestone into Stone Bricks if you like instead of just dumping them into an incinerator.
