Tottenham did agree a deal to sign Leandro Damiao on transfer deadline day, but it collapsed when Internacional changed the terms of his move at the last minute.

The deal ran into difficulties on the afternoon of 31 January when Internacional included a fresh demand for Damiao to remain with them for a further 6 months.

Tottenham are unlikely to resurrect the move in the summer.

I'd have taken the 6 month deal to be honest. That sucks though, very frustrating.

Considering they just sold Oscar, they don't need the money. Besides, the new TV money has created quite the nice wallet stuffer as well. Hell, Internacional was 3rd in revenue in 2011 (last complete numbers) ... http://brazilianbubble.com/football-finance-brazils-top-20-football-clubs-by-revenue/ with 198m .... of which only 6m was transfer revenue (that I can find anyway).

Yeah, but most of the time their revenue is based on selling players, 2011 was an exceptional year. Also, they do have some good programs with club associates.

Is that really so funny? Granted he didn't deliver at Sunderland but the few times he played for Spurs he seemed to score and if it's a small contract it's a decent gamble to take cause Saha's definitely got talent.
