i just thought of something: If its original universe and takes place before TOS, there's one major plot hole that has to be either explained or ignored: In "Turnabout Intruder", the reason the female villain took over Kirk's body is because Starfleet didn't allow women to command ships.  (Or maybe this ship's commanding officers are the reason that Starfleet made that rule?)
