All five points came from Portugal's televote.

Portugal were a deserving winner. I was rooting for Azerbaijan, as it was the closest to my tastes and had a dancing horseman up a ladder, and Croatia for the Eurovision madness of it, but Portugal absolutely deserved it. Every time they cut to them in the green room, he seemed so unfazed by it all that I warmed to him more and more as the show went on.

The closing performance, and him singing it with his sister, and them seemingly ad-libbing who was going to sing what bit, was wonderful. Probably my favourite winner since Lena.

The British entry was the best in years, too.

As seems to be becoming a tradition, the insane interval song was the highlight of the whole show, though.
