  1. I'm bumping this up for Juan who has assured me he'd have his entry up. Thanks for the comments everyone!
  2. Votes, please. We'd be better off just going first to three if thats ok with you, ShootingStar.
  3. Vote: Doc Doc's just seems to appeal to me more and looks more authentic as a poster. The cut placement is not so bad but the fact that many of the cuts are out of proportion with the others is the only real downfall. The mirror effect you've used on Terry Funk also has the text on his shirt apear backwards, though its not really that noticable. Jule's was also good but a little too dark IMO, it didn't appeal to me as much as Doc's.
  4. I don't know what you're talking about... And besides, It was three.
  5. He must have done his time or whatever, the official site's reporting it. Seems he's off to FC Lyn Oslo, the Norwegian side we were supposedly buying Jon Obi Mikel off.

  7. I've been litrally working ALL morning on this, I'd never actually made any form of box-art before so as this was my first attempt, I really wanted to challenge myself. Anyway, I hope you all like it. I wanted to keep it both simplistic and realistic, The entire piece was made from scratch. Because there were no in-game shots available, I tried to keep the back convincing enough without any, the pics are CAW's from SD vs. Raw. Like I said, It took me a hell of a long time to make but any comments would be apreciated. I look foward to seeing Juan's entry. (Y) ...Sorry to stretch the page, BTW ( )
  8. Sure, I'll hopefully have my entry up later today.
  9. Well you called the Gory Bomb a Gory Special. ←
  10. Look on the bright side, at least you didn't pay the originally quoted £20 Million for him.
  11. I'll give it a go, it'll give you a chance to get even from our last battle.
  12. I'm fine with any rules, wrestling or non-wrestling. I'll leave it up to ShootingStar to decide.
  13. Whatever happened to the results of the last contest? My Entry:
  14. I'm surprised to say the least that Owen has eventually joined Newcastle. He's made it perfectly clear that he didn't want to join them permanently and even went as far as to drop a line to Liverpool to come rescue him. Needless to say, he'll be welcomed with open arms but I'm wondering what exactly changed his mind. It wouldn't surprise me at all for him to have both a Relegation release clause and some sort of buy-out clause in his Newcastle contract. For the mean time, he's only really using them to keep himself in contention for a World Cup place; something he was practically guaranteed by Sven anyway. If it's goals Newcastle are after, Owen is a good buy albeit for quite the price. If Real Madrid only bought Owen to re-sell him, they've made the profit. The deal seems to work out on both sides but I'm still surprised we didn't see Owen's return to Liverpool like so many people were expecting from the beginning.
  15. I think I battled you before, I'm up for another one if you don't mind.
  16. Yes, Gary Neville. Not Luke Young, because Luke Young's had his chance. Neville. ←
  17. I remember when Van Der Meyde was tipped to be the 'next big thing' a while back, the newest in a long line of rumoured Dutch imports fresh out of the youth systems. I guess he never really got off the mark at Inter and with them bringing in both Solari and Figo over the summer, they would inevitably have to get rid of someone. I think he'll be a good purchase for Everton for the right price. In other news;
  18. My thoughts; Group A speaks for itself really, whereas both Juve/Bayern matches will probably be enjoyable, you can't look past both going through to the knock-out phases. Arsenal I think got it easy in Group B. FC Thun are apparently a bunch of no-hopers and both Sparta and Ajax will only put up a minor threat in the away legs. Arsenal to comfortably go through, Ajax nicking second place. Barcelona all the way for Group C, they weren't clear favourites before the draw but almost certainly must be now given the comparison between both they're group and Chelsea's. Udinese, Werder Bremen and Panathinaikos are not bad teams in fairness but a lack of European experience already places Barca in the latter stages. In all honesty, I think United will find it tough in Group D. I can't look past us going through but on paper the opposition looks a lot simplier than I actually think they will prove to be. Villareal are a good team and one way or another, Forlan will surely be making the headlines. Both Lille and Benfica could prove to be troublesome and I don't think we'll have the opportunity to be resting too many players like we did last year. Group E will be AC Milan dominant followed by Fenerbache IMO. A PSV/Milan rematch will raise a few eyebrows but after losing several of they're top-stars, I can't see the Dutch progressing any further. I think Milan will stroll through but the real race will be for second place given the competition. Real Madrid will easily slide by Group F. They may not be the team they once were but in they're group only Lyon look like genuine contenders to the top-spot. Group G will surely be all about Liverpool and Chelsea, A tight affair over the both legs I'm sure. Real Betis are the wildcards though, it'll be interesting to see how they fair-up against English opposition, Anderlecht also. Definitly one of the toughest groups of the lot. Gotta feel bad for the Celtic fans, seeing Rangers stroll by Bratislava, which I have no doubt they're capable of doing, will truly rub-in they're European failure. Can't see them go through in Group H though, Inter are a cert and I think Porto could be underestimated once again. All in all, Its a decent draw and most of the English sides look likely to go through to the knock-out stages. There'll surely be a few surprises along the way but lets hope they'll stay well and clear from Group D... >_>
