Come on, now I'm just waiting for 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight'. If they can devote an hour to Madonna... let's get some LION KING!!
  2. The original Shaft. Not the Samuel L. Jackson one, but the Richard Roundtree one from the 70s. I think it's enjoyable and a decent Blaxploitation film. Also, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, while being a spoof, is a good spoof of the genre.
  3. E A G L E S, EAGLES. Haynesworth is stuck. That contract is too much, and unless the Redskins decide to PAY him to play in Tennessee, they're stuck.
  4. I have to say the announcers on the Braves telecast are god awful. They were making a huge deal like Heyward had just won the World Series. It was the 1st inning of the 1st game of the year. And Chip Carey just gets on my damn nerves. I wish I could send Gary Matthews Sr. down to Atlanta so I would never have to listen to him again.. because listening to this makes my ears bleed. He's been a highly regarded prospect who came up and hit a homerun in his first at bat. No harm in cheering there. Oh, I agree, but they went a little too overboard for me. I mean it was a monster shot, guess just my Chip Carey bias. And I joined the MLB groups. See if I can't luck into some $

  6. Oh I have no doubt, but I have a feeling that Vick will be inserted as the starter by October. I would just like to know what they are thinking with the deals they are making. EDIT: DMN, I love Jason Campbell. I wish he would get a real shot somewhere, and in Oakland I think he can be what JaMarcus was SUPPOSED to be.
  7. Turned on the Cubs/Braves after the Phillies ended. Zambrano is getting rocked, and HOLY SHIT, Jason Heyward just demolished that pitch.
  8. As an Eagles fan, I HATE, HATE, HATE the fact that they traded him IN DIVISION, even if it was to the Redskins. On top of that, they traded Shelden Brown away for crap pretty much. I don't like a lot of the moves the Eagles are making right now. Unless they have some sort of plan to package all of these picks for something worthwhile, but I'd like to see them have some sort of plan here..... As for Kolb, I watched him in the Tampa game this year, he was alright, but nothing to get overly excited about. I have a feeling Vick will be our starter by October.
  9. Dear Blue Jays, Thanks for Roy Halladay. -Ron Phillies are beating up on the Nationals. Howard homered, Polanco hit a Grand Slam and has 6 RBI's, and Doc went 7 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 9 Ks.
  10. Sorry, but no. Granted if Matt Holliday didn't screw up last year, the Cardinals could have beaten the Dodgers and we would have seen in the NLCS. I'll give you the rotations being even, but the Phillies lineup is much more complete and solid than the Cards. Would I say the Cardinals are the 2nd best team in the NL, most certainly. But at this moment (and granted this is based off of last year) but the lineup is much better than what the Cardinals have currently. I mean yes, some of the Cardinals who are projected to start in key positions were only rookies last year, but as with all teams you need to be aware of the possibility of a Sophomore slump and can they hold up for a whole season. Can Ludwick come back to what he was in 08? These are all questions. And until they can be answered I'll continue to say the Phillies lineup, is miles ahead.
  11. I personally enjoy Blue Jays, A.D. (After Doc). As for the season, I could see a Yankees/Phillies rematch in the World Series. I think the Phillies are miles away from everyone in the NL right now (yes I'm a Phillies fan), but I think that the Braves, Marlins, Cards are all closing the gap. Some surprise teams, Mariners look strong on paper, I think the Marlins could contend for the Wild Card, and maybe the Royals coming back to somewhat mediocre?
  12. Yes. Only downside to the episode was Russell out and out going for the Idol with the WORST plan possible. Why tell them 'I'm going to walk on the beach'? Why not just go? Why not pretend to be getting firewood. I know it's skewed cause he's my favorite, but DUMB DUMB DUMB.
  13. Agree about last night. It was a great overall in challenges and the suspense during Tribal was great. SOOOO Happy with the end result. Some of the Heroes are starting to gain favor with me.
  14. It WAS Randy. They showed the votes after the preview for next week. And even during his little interview said he's sending a message to the tribe about Rob. Next week looks interesting as they show Rob vs. Russell in the preview, but they also did that for this week, so we'll see. I really hope Russell is the one who stays longer. He is such an asshole it is so fun to watch. Him burying the machete last night and then Randy needing it to open the clam had me laughing. As for the Heroes, ugh. There is not 1 person on that side I even like a little bit except for James. And this was before he became Badass James who doesn't give a shit if you like him anymore. I really liked 'nice guy James' but 'Bad Ass James' is much more entertaining. The rest of the heroes just annoy me. Mainly it's the girls. Not one girl on this season does anything for me. There is no one I'm like 'I hope she does well', I hope they all go. No idea about who could make the merge yet.
  15. My gut feeling is that Russel gets very close to....and probably does make it to finals but he loses again. He didn't get to learn his lesson from Season 19. This was taped before the finale for Season 19. True. But I really hope that he can win. He was just SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good last season. I feel that the old winners will be picked off too though. If it comes down to it, the other people will be like 'you won before, bye'
  16. I'm 100% behind Russell. I so want him to own this season like he did the last. Ive only seen a couple sporadic seasons, so I don't know a lot of the people on this season. But I'm rooting for Russell, and if he can't win, come on James.

I just wish some storylines would fizzle out, especially Schue's wife. She annoys me. And I agree with your take on Finn, I like him a lot. He was my favorite guy on the show, however Kurt has been growing on me lately. He just seems to be funny in any scene he is in.
  19. No particular order, except Seinfeld is my all time #1. Seinfeld It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia The Office (US) Arrested Development Family Guy Cheers Three's Company How I Met Your Mother The Big Bang Theory Modern Family (just started but it is hysterical) Married...With Children Soap Night Court Newsradio MASH Clone High Curb Your Enthusiasm
  20. Tried to narrow to a top 10: 1. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? 2. Rocky 3. Rudy 4. The Lion King 5. Forrest Gump 6. Back to the Future 7. Pee Wee's Big Adventure 8. Revenge of the Nerds 9. Anchorman 10. The Wizard of Oz (Yeah, What of It?) plus there are tons more i could put here like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Hangover, Die Hard, Field of Dreams, Blood Diamond, Major League, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Aladdin, It's a Wonderful Life, Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars, Independence Day, South Park - Bigger Longer Uncut, Shaft... etc. But 1,2,3 are pretty locked in. Roger Rabbit was the first movie I saw and I am still in love with it to this day.
  21. Ugh. And this is what the Eagles do to me every year. They draw you in thinking 'hey maybe the can do something here' then they come out and lose 10-3. 3 FREAKING POINTS?! You guys are fighting for a playoff spot and you score 3 points? Abandoning the run was the right idea. That 46/16 Pass/Rush ratio really fooled the Redskins. Even still they again had a chance to win but Reggie Brown runs a terrible route and did what the Receivers seemed to do all game GET IN FRONT OF THE D. Maybe now he understands why he's been inactive the past few weeks. And I'm going to declare DeSean Jackson's new nickname to be Drops. Probably 2 of the best passes Donovan threw all game and Jackson drops both. The one in the Endzone was especially killer as, well it shoulda been a TD. Now we have to hope that Oakland can beat Tampa and that we beat Dallas and we get in. I don't really have faith in the Raiders to win back-to-back games, and honestly if we don't score more than 3 points next week we won't win. Though I think it could be a low-scoring game. Feels like a 17-14 kinda game.
  22. 1. Marvin Gaye 2. Freddie Mercury (Queen) 3. Frank Sinatra 4. Steve Perry (Journey) 5. Michael Jackson 6. Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) 7. Paul McCartney 8. Frankie Valli 9. Stevie Wonder 10. Roy Orbison
  23. The Ten: 1/10 I also watched The Ten recently, though only because my brother works at a video store and he gets free rentals, so not having to PAY for it I gave it a chance. But this movie was horrible. There was nothing funny about it, except maybe the Winona Rider/dummy story (and Oliver Platt as an absurd Ah-nold imitator). As a whole the movie made me feel dumber for having watched it.
  24. Rudy, I never ever get sick of it. Oh, and Rocky-Rocky IV (watching Rocky V more than once can kill a man). Also, the previously mentioned Back to the Futures, Anchorman, and finally Dodgeball.
