  1. Sorry Kryptonite. I'm just waiting for sacrifice to blow my score away, as usual. I had a pretty good run, could've done better but I can't be bothered with the song anymore, there's just too many parts to nail in one run.
  2. Soundgarden - i don't think you'd need much more than 'Superunknown'. Classic album i also suggest some Alice in chains. "Dirt" is a good start
  3. This is a testament to how hard Raining blood is. I've 5 starred every song on expert except for Cliffs of Dover, still can't PASS raining blood.
  4. My copy of guitar hero is scratched and it doesn't seem to want to play the Metal on hard. I'll get to a mate's place and use his copy and try get my score in tomorrow. *EDIT* Best i could do in the few run throughs i had. I'm getting the hang of note squeezing now, my first was 192K with hitting the star power in basically the same spots and then the second round i tried kicking star power in on top of the notes. It worked a treat and probably gave me that extra 3K or so. Still couldn't take out the win for the round though
  5. Hey De, can we get an updated score sheet after this round finishes?
  6. damn. I thought i had a great score going on there...it only would've been up at about 264 or 265k if i hadn't missed a note. you got some good star power use man.
  7. YESSS... I Finally win a round...I hope. Unless Sacrifice owns my score which he probably will. I did pretty good seeing there was one point in the solo where I always missed a note (the green to orange hammer on) EDIT - that's 259693. Didn't realize how blurry my shot was.
  8. Just finished Mario Galaxy today...well...Finished Super Mario Galaxy, not Super Luigi Galaxy. I'm only half way done.
  9. so i had a couple of runs through it this morning and i'm at about the 250k mark, trying to work out a good star power path...Is it at all possible to whammy the fuck out of the first star power chords to get an activation in for the chords before the verse starts?
  10. Fucking hate this song...this is all i could stand getting after 3 runs through. Never playing this song again.

    Gigs for 2008

Are you still as dusty as I am?
  12. RHCP - Blood Sugar Sex Magik - c'mon, do i have to explain myself? Mellowship slinky in B major, Sir Psycho Sexy, Funky Monks. The list goes on. This album is awesome! Tool - Lateralus - For while i make Lost-esque theories on the island to Schism's "i know the pieces fit, cuz i watched them fall away" The Mars Volta - Deloused in the commatorium - Definately need this for when i discover the weed stashes on the island and have me a big ass deserted smoke up. Pink Floyd - Dark side of the moon - see Deloused RATM - Self Titled - for my anger at everything, mainly being deserted

    Gigs for 2008

I'm currently in the middle of the greatest week of music in my life. Monday i went to Big Day out and saw Enter Shikari, Hilltop Hoods, Grinspoon, The Nightwatchman, Battles, Bjork and Rage against the machine. Tuesday i saw the Nightwatchmen's sideshow. Last night i went and saw Rage's sideshow with Anti-flag opening (probably the best gig i've been to in my life). Saturday i'm going to see John Butler Trio, Claire bowditch and others and another festival. EDIT - And the new mars volta album came out on Saturday. Loving it.

  15. I don't know how the hell to get 3k more than that. The only thing i didn't do in that run is whammy all the held notes in the star power phrase in the solo, but they're short as fuck so i didn't want to risk missing a note.
  16. Not too bad, i actually struggled with it on easy, but only because i was over strumming all over the place being used to Hard. Took me a few tries to get this score.

    Movie Parodies

Robin hood: men in tights is great I want to add Hot Fuzz to this list. They took everything that was good and cliche about cop movies and put them all in one movie which worked a treat.
  18. The Living End's "Roll On" Starts with a shouted out "ONE TWO THREE FOUR" before kicking in with a huge chord. Greatest count-in ever
  19. 1 - Red Hot Chili Peppers 2 - Tool 3 - The Mars Volta 4 - Rage against the Machine 5 - Opeth 6 - Incubus 7 - Queens of the Stone Age 8 - FRENZAL RHOMB!!! 9 - System of a Down 10 - Kings of Leon
  20. Tommy Emmanuel has covered allot of beatles songs...it's great, he plays the main riff and the vocal melodies (and sometimes harmonies) on his accoustic Across the Universe has also been covered by Fiona Apple IIRC.

    "In Search Of The"

Yeah i got Crime Slunk Scene. Apart from the song "Soothsayer" there wasn't much that was really different from your standard Buckethead songs. I dunno, i'm still undecided on mr Head
  22. Ah crap it is too. Thanks heaps man, that was driving me batty.
  23. Can someone tell me what the guitar chord progression is on the Beastie Boys' "Rhymin' and Stealin'". I know it's a metal song of some description, maybie Sabbath or something, but I can't put my finger on the song and it's driving me nuts.
