  1. DJ Shaddow is awesome, especially some of his stuff with James Brown samples in it (I think with Danger Mouse)
  2. Mach Pelican are a great Ska/punk band. They play mostly in Australia (mainly melbourne) but all 3 members are Japanese. I Suggest you listen to "Dance Chicago".
  3. I prefer Reel Big Fish's version of 'Take on Me' by Ah-Ha Living End's Version of 'Tainted Love' is waaaaay better than Soft Cell's version also.
  4. i just 5 starred Carry me Home on Hard...don't ask how i did it. I'm getting heaps better at this game. Loving the hammer on/pull off system in this one...In guitar hero 1 the gateway for HO/PO's was too small... Now they nailed it
  5. if the hit me baby one is accoustic then i think it may be Weezer.
  6. Y is the weaker moves, then B, then A, grapple your opponent when groggy and press A+Y for a finisher. I Don't think there's a trick to getting out of submissions, the amount of time you're held in a hold is dependent on how much damage you've taken.
  7. Anamanaguchi is a Japanese (i think) band who use 8-bit tracks and then distort and amplify them to get the desired effects. I suggest giving them a listen
  8. Anyone got any hints for beating Frankenstein, Cowboys from hell and Bark at the Moon on expert. Preferably some advice other than 'practice' because as much as i practice, i get stuck on the solo in Frankenstein and i allways fail CFH and BATM at around 15%
  9. Krazy K's Right...that song was in the twist contest. the Song that Uma puts on in her house is "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" By Urge Overkill
  10. Little Birdy are a pretty cruisy pop-rock band. The lead singer, whilst not your token hottie, there's something about her that's just mesmorizing on stage.
  11. The Black Keys - anything off the album "Rubber Factory" if you can find it anywhere...awesome ballsy rock from a 2 piece
  12. -The Meters -Buena Vista Social Club Both have a cuban feel to them playing styles from Jazz to Reggae
  13. i've borrowed the game off a mate and i've installed it and got it opening the main menu and stuff...but everytime i go into a game it loads the 'game world' then closes abruptly and goes back to the desktop...any ideas on what's happening and what i need to fix to get this working?
  14. I dig it...i think they've tried something different with all of their albums, while still keeping the System of a Sown Feel self titled - that's pretty much System right there. Toxicity - little more mainstream than all the others. Steal this album - B'Sides, it all came together well Mesmorise - Experimentation (polka anyone?) i think Hypnotise features alot of strong Harmonies and i definately like the sound of it over Metal tracks
  15. - Resevoir Dogs - so many of the songs on the soundtrack had purpose in the movie...i still cringe a little when i hear 'Stuck in the Middle' - Pulp Fiction - Again, alot of the songs on the album serve in the movie - A Clockwork Orange - Full of Beethoven classics, all of them were used in the movie - The Commitments - Full of great Pub-rock style tracks, obviously given that the movie is about a band, the tracks here are all used in the movie too so it's a score of sorts i suppose...
  16. - James Bond: Goldeneye (2) - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2) - Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow (1) - Super Mario Brothers 3 (2) - WWF No Mercy (3)
  17. - The Matrix - 1984 (haven't seen the movie, but if it's anything like the book then it's sure to be good) - TRON~!

    System of A Down

    4. Steal this album 3. Mezmerize 2. Toxicity 1. Self Titled
  19. you may aswell just swim underwater heaps and find oysters while you're at it to get the lung capacity up. visionary...when you save/re-start the game, your need to eat is back at normal. so if you're like me and saving almost after every mission then there's not much need to eat in the game. (unless you want to get really fat...BEEFCAKE~!)
  20. - all the THQ wrestling games on the N64 were awesome, i loved the cheezyness of it all - F-Zero X - the forest theme from Zelda: ocarina of time (can't remember the name...Sara's song maybie?) - Bust a Move - GTA: Vice City and San Andreas
  21. this is gunna rock so fuckin' hard. I only heard Mezmerise start to finish a few months ago so i'm no-where near sick of it yet. having this one too will be an overload of System. i can't wait.

    PS2 Woes

yeah talk about bad timing...it was the first time i busted it out in a while because i wanted to start San Andreas again over the holidays and i fire it up and it's not working. it's about 3 years old now, so i guess it's pretty good that it's lasted that long without any setbacks besides this one for the record, the games that work of mine with P2 only are: Need For Speed Underground 2 and NBA Live 2001, other than that i'm screwed :ohwell:
