xG is a better metric than shots or even goals, which are even more blunt, because it is all about teams and players putting themselves in the best position to score. It's why possession and pass completion are not great stats either. If you take a lot of stats at face value for instance Jack Grealish last year was the best English midfielder, if you then took his stats as a per 90, he was still good, but was massively outshone in all reasonable metrics by Phil Foden. but even then you lose context of Foden being at City adn Grealish at Villa, and what the opposition they faced are. Very few metrics are perfect other than the final score lol.

Talking to my TIFO loving heart here

Thats a significant amount of wages off the books thats a very Juve signing. I'm not sure what they are trying to achieve in Turin, doesnt appear to be much of a long term plan especially given the poor European performance etc... i would have thought they would have thought more in depth about a future identity for the playing squad outside of big names like CR7 and Luis Suarez

Allan Rodriguez, classic player

And it's an admirable way of building value in something as Liverpool is now a $2bn club, on a purchase price of $450m 10 years ago, that's not a bad return on investment at all.
-
Oh I get it and understood and know, I just saw that line and wanted to take it massively out of context
-
Yes poor Liverpool, with backer John Henry worth $2.6bn, Ted, William and the rest of the Alfond's worth $1.7bn, John A Kaneb worth of $0.6m, Seth Klarman worth $1.5bn, Bruce Rauner worth $0.4bn and Tom Werner worth $0.7bn... Sadly they are impoverished compared to their Saudi and Russian counter parts...

in what way? He has never been a proven goalscorer, and Bruce played a system which was successful given the limitations he has at Newcastle from a squad and an ability to bring other players in to supplement that squad perspective, Joelinton was successful in a way which he looked every bit the player he was at Hoffenheim butplayed alongside proven goalscorer in Kramaric and a good, in form talent in Belfodil.
-
Or he needs a complementary ass man to help him tactically
-
Like CR7 would allow it.

Is she? P sure she and his father are both English, though his Grandparents were Irish, huh.
-
Would you want another plastic Irish player to play for you? Given the lad is born and raised in England?
-
Dirty Leeds player Except the rules are likely changing on the capping part

Do you honestly think a 35 year old Thiago Silva will fix the problems with Chelseas defence?
-
Fair, understood.

You don't understand what a Modular stadium is do you? Modular does not equal temporary, it means constructed off site and then put together at the point where the structure is going to be. Again, Modular does not equal temporary. It just means it will be much easier, and less costly to reconfigure in the future for any changes they need to make. Examples of modular Olympic venues are the London Aquatic Centre... A permanent aquatic centre and the Copper box arena... a permanent arena.
