I picked up the new controls after a match or two. I think GameSpot said the learning curve is about half an hour.

Personally I think its a very good game. Only problem I've had is the longish loading times. Other people have complained about poor AI but that doesn't bother me as I tend to unlock everything then just use it for the multiplayer.

Cup-stacking is getting a bit of coverage these days. Its also amazing the amount of rubbish sports that get into the olympics. Synchronised swimming and so on. I think one olympic games had an event that you one by floating in a pool for longer than anyone else.
