  1. Thanks Bill! Hope everything is okay!

-I SUPER disagree with lowering Finlay's stats. His most recent matches, which were as recent as a couple of years ago, were stellar still. To do so just because he is 55 is silly, especially factoring in we have seen other talent that age or higher working at a high rate, it's not unheard of.

Yeah, the fact that they were a couple years ago makes Viva's point.

His real life abilities showed not a single decrease in real life between his WCW run and when started actively working in WWE again in the mid 00s'. So why lower them based on an assumption when he has proven to be adept at his style despite his age or time away?

Big difference in coming back in your 40's and in your 50's. Biology tells us this.

But you're still making huge assumptions. I wouldn't mind lowering his stats just a hair, but lowering them more than a point or two each seems unjustly harsh based on no evidence.

  2. Good job friend any other years once this project is finish you paln to do

There are still some minor details to get finished on this one (some wrestlers and staff to add if I can get pictures and figure out stats). I don't know... It took me so long to finish this one. I might look at starting another one in a bit. I'd be open to suggestions. I'm thinking either 1997 or mid-'96, probably July 1st, 1996, which would be right before Bash At The Beach '96, when the nWo was formed.

  3. This is a really cool time period. It was before WCW introduced Nitro, before WWF started Monday Night Raw, before wrestling really started doing live television and before it started appealing toward wider audiences and adults instead of families and kids. I was looking over the latest update, and there's a lot of work left to be done. I see a lot of finishers left blank, some stats that haven't been done, and some weird stuff like Chad Austin being named voChad Austin, etc. But I can see you've done quite a bit of work as well. It's going to take a lot of time. It took me literally YEARS to get the 1998 scenario to where it's virtually complete (though I didn't work on it much during some points as I got tired of doing it... it's tedious).

I hope you stick with it and get it done, but I can tell there's a lot of stats I don't personally agree with (like Hogan having a higher brawl than British Bulldog, or Bret Hart only having an 84 in tech). But I want to see a really complete 1992 scenario, and given the impressive list of wrestlers and staff and everything else you're putting into the game with all the details, I'm excited for it.

EDIT: I could be missing him, but I don't see 2 Cold Scorpio in the scenario?

I don't see Mean Mark Callous aka The Undertaker either.

I don't see Rey Misterio Jr. either, and I tried searching under his other names.

  4. Hey, I am having trouble downloading the file - it takes me to the filedropper home page. Is there any way to get this back up?

I've since uploaded a newer update of the scenario: https://www.sendspace.com/file/qx9vnj

    Thanks, Kirkland.

And I don't want anyone to forget about the game itself either. The stats, data, etc. can still be looked at/analyzed as needed. I'd appreciate as much feedback and as many additions as possible!

Hey, just noticed something strange. I was planning my PPV's for WCW, and online it says that Souled Out happened on a Saturday Jan 24. To confirm this, I go to my WCW game to see when it is scheduled and it says the 18th. Is this the correct date or was this generated by the game, seeing as you cannot change the PPV day in the file editor, just the month.

I believe a person could change it in the new game, and save those files as your files in the file editor to make it work.

Like Rocky said, the dates assigned to PPVs are game generated and can be changed on or before the first day of the month of the PPV/event. I'm not sure if doing a game save and moving it into the file editor would work, especially if someone wanted to play as another company.

Thanks. That's good to know. Sorry about that.

It's all good. It annoys me about the dates as well, but I don't know a way to fix them, so it's just one of those things, like assigning sponsors at the beginning of the game.

  6. I imagine 9 or 10 screens per company?

I'll throw some names out, and hopefully it'll help:

WCW: Sting, the nWo (Hogan, Nash, Hall, and maybe Syxx or Eric Bischoff preferably), Ric Flair, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Giant, Lex Luger, The Steiner Brothers, DDP, the luchadores or at least Rey Mysterio Jr. or Eddie Guerrero, and Raven and the Flock (though I feel weird about not including Bret Hart)

WWF: Undertaker, Shawn Michaels/D-X, Steve Austin, New Age Outlaws, Legion of Doom, Nation of Domination/Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, Faces of Foley (Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack), Sunny or Sable, and Kane, maybe with Paul Bearer

ECW: Shane Douglas/The Triple Threat with Francine, Taz, The Dudleys (with Joel Gertner), RVD and Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, The Pitbulls, Bam Bam Bigelow, Al Snow with Head, and New Jack

WCW question. At this point in time the only guys I should be doing screens for that have held the title are Flair and Hogan, right? Crow Sting, Goldberg, Nash and Savage hadn't had it yet, right?

Sting was actually the champion (won it at Starrcade '97 on December 28th). Randy Savage won the title at World War 3 in 1995 as well. Goldberg and Nash hadn't held the WCW World Title yet (though Nash was WWF Champion). Goldberg was still a rookie midcarder at this point (he debuted in September or October of '97).

  8. Love this mod. Just have a question...more of a request I guess. Do you happen to have any WWF or ECW skins? Nothing wrong with the WCW images, just wondering in case I wanted to do a WWF or ECW game.

    Thanks.

I wish I did! I'm not a graphics guy at all. I'm barely proficient with MS Paint. Doc Pepper, who I don't think posts or even lurks here anymore, made those WCW graphics WAY back in the day when I was working on this years ago. I've thought about asking iDOL or somebody who's good with graphics about making some skins for the scenario, or if anybody wants to try, please do.

Do you have any feedback on the scenario itself? I'm going to be releasing a slightly different version of it tonight.

    EDIT:

Here's the link to the most updated version I have, including some stats changes: https://www.sendspace.com/file/kxoy2s

I might be able to help out in reguards to skins. EWR skins are kinda simple. Show me this WCW skin that's been made and I'll see if I can match it.

Thanks, man. Here's a link to the skin (in a zipped folder):

    https://www.sendspace.com/file/fw5r7q

There aren't any loading screens, I don't think.

    Here are some screen shots:

I'd love to have a loading screen set for WCW, as well as WWF and ECW, if you're up to it...

  9. Actually, I do have some feedback for this mod. To be honest, this is the best EWR mod have played so far. There are tons of staff workers from the real world and that is just something you rarely see in a mod. Usually there are just the generic fill ins with numbers, which is not a bad thing, but I enjoy as much realizm as possible.

The ONLY problem I have with this mod is not with the mod itself. It is just that some of the workers do not have pics assigned to them, when there are pics available. Like Teddy Long and Road Block of WCW(among others). But that was an easy fix.

Can't wait to try this new version out. What exactly are the changes?

If anyone has any skins to go with this to match the WCW one, that would be totally awesome. Sadly, I am just not good enough to create anything good enough to even upload.

Again, thanks for this nearly perfect mod.

Oh man, did I mess up some of the pics for the workers? Sorry about that. I'll have to take a look some time and get all those worker pics fixed.

As for some of the changes, for the longest time, I kept the stat caps for wrestling stats around 91-92. I decided to increase the very best in each stat to 93 and kind of change a few others as well. I bumped Eddie Guerrero's wrestling stats up slightly, for example; raised Benoit's tech to 93, Mysterio's speed to 93. I made some overall changes to wrestler stats to reflect some changes of opinion.

Hey Mancuerda, (or anyone for that matter) how hard would it be to go back one month, to December 1st, 1997? This would fall on a Monday, and I could book an entire month up to Starrcade 1997, to have it end the way that I want it to.

Not much could have changed, I wouldn't think.

Don't think it'd be too hard. Bret would've still been with WCW. I don't know when some of the others came over (Bulldog, Anvil, etc.) and you could double check any workers you weren't sure about regarding which side they were on (WCW or WWF).

You'd need to make some title changes, obviously, but yeah... Rosters shouldn't be affected too much. I'm trying to think of high profile wrestler deaths in December of 1997.

  10. Love this mod. Just have a question...more of a request I guess. Do you happen to have any WWF or ECW skins? Nothing wrong with the WCW images, just wondering in case I wanted to do a WWF or ECW game.

  11. I did realize after posting that Harley Lewis was already in the game (forgot I added him), so I just added him to IWA: MS.

I need stats for the rest of those guys, if anybody has a suggestion. Keep in mind it's for 1998. Pics and everything else would be nice, too.

I'm at the point in the game where it would be nice to have these extra workers for the promotions, but they aren't 100% essential. Some of the promos ask for you to hire extra people but not many (usually 1 or 2).

I'm going to tweak some of the other things in the game (advertising and merchandising for the promotions for example, or the belt images that are in the game), but we're getting pretty close to a scenario I would be content with calling "finished", although I really want more staff for the smaller promotions (a lot of them are starting off with JUST owners - I know if we could find a show or something from around the era, we could at least get refs and/or announcers).

  12. Alright, I'm getting to the point where I'm gonna need some help with this scenario.

I need to flesh out the staff members who were in the smaller organizations at the time. I also have a list of workers I'd like to add for some of the rosters that I need stats, pics, relationships, alter egos, tag teams, etc. for:

    John Rambo
    The Mad Russian
    The Russian Eliminator
    Richard J. Criado

  13. Here's an update - While the staff isn't done, it is sufficient (as in the analysis doesn't say there needs to be any staff added). There are 1763 workers, 18 promotions, 464 staff, 64 belts, 68 events, 510 tag teams... Still got quite a bit of work to do, a list of wrestlers to add for several rosters, and need to touch up pretty much everything, but it's getting there.
