  1. Is the Archie Brooks in staff as a ref the same one here? https://www.facebook.com/archie.brooks.92

Says he worked in "Pro Wrestling", but according to Facebook posts, he might be facing prison time? He's in the game as 31, but he graduated high school in 1990, making him around 40-41.

EDIT: Sorry about the double post.

Anyway, why is August Liguori's wage so low? He's a production staff member for WWE with 85 in talent but only $10,000 for his wage? I'd raise it to around $30,000.

  2. Thanks, man. I've been working on staff for the last few days. I'm up to 267. Still have a lot to add to meet all the requirements. Once I finish with the staff, I've okayed with iDOL that I'm going to make a whole new thread since this one has been through a lot.

Once I get staff done (including owners), then tag teams will be the next priority, as well as stables within each promotion. After that, it's just verifying rosters and staff within each promotion/adding them to promotions and touring commitments, and then cleaning up the events and belts/titles.

I have hopes to finish this before the end of summer. I think making a new thread after finishing staff will lead to higher productivity because right now with all the replies people probably assume things are moving faster than they really are.

Please - and this goes to anyone - let me know if you want to help work on tag teams, belts, or adding people to rosters. I currently have 1692 workers - would like to get more added after fixing the other areas.

    EDIT:

If anyone can provide as much information as possible on Bill Shaw and Bob Dhue, both of whom were executives at Turner and possibly still involved with WCW at this point, I'd appreciate it. I want to know if it's worth including them in staff or not.

    Staff to verify:

    Axel Cruz

    Bill Shaw

    Bob Dhue

  3. Dan Bynum (staff) should be around 60 according to his LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/danbynum

    Here is a pic: danbynum.jpg

EDIT: Dave Lagana's age should be bumped up to 37-38. He graduated college in 1997 and had his first project (This Just In on USA Network) around then as well. I would imagine he'd be about 22 then, so 37 would be a conservative estimate on his age.

Thomas Simpson (owner) should be 44-45 according to Cage Match http://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=6136&name=Thomas+Simpson

Here is a pic of Thomas Simpson (needs cut) 385610_3665941690153_1323095391_3432527_

  4. Wanted to make some notes while I was working...

The Bella Twins: Their secondary finishers are pretty weak. Unfortunately, they rellay haven't used any "finishers" other than the sitout facebuster. I was thinking of putting "Twin Magic" as a secondary finisher for both, since they have won a fair amout of matches by doing the "Twin Magic" swap. Granted, in EWR, it won't reflect them actually changing places, but to the best of my knowledge, there really isn't a way to actually replicate "Twin Magic," so I figured this would eb the closest we'd be able to get.

Like I said, just kinda contemplating those things... Opinions and suggestions are welcome.

    -Bill

I would also make their Tag Team Finisher "Twin Magic".

  5. Alfonso Morales is 64 and born in February according to this: https://sites.google.com/site/wrestlingscout/non-wrestlers/announcers/drmorales

Dennis Brent should be around 62 according to when he graduated college: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dennis-brent/7/767/468

Not everyone goes to college and graduates at 18 and 22... I mean I started college at 22... and it took me 5 years to finish cause I went part time the first two years...

Yeah, but most of these ages are several years TOO YOUNG. I'm being conservative and assuming 22-23 for average graduation age. In a lot of cases, these people are 35 in the scenario when they would be at LEAST 40 or 45.

    EDIT:

For example, Staff Member Andy Gregg is in as 32. According to LinkedIn, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1997 (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/andy-gregg/3b/993/236)

That means he should be, conservatively, 37.

    EDIT:

WWE Medical Staff Member Larry Heck should be at LEAST 42. He graduated college in 1992, putting him around 42-43 now. Source:

Here is a screen cap/pic from the video:

    larryheck.jpg

    He currently has no pic.

    EDIT:

Norm Connors (promoter) should be 41. He was born in 1972 according to a list of promoters from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_professional_wrestling_promoters He started promoting in '94 so it would make sense that he's in his early 40s.

  6. WWE Staff Member Chris Lawler needs an age boost, at least according to his LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/chris-lawler/7/977/7aa?trk=pub-pbmap

He graduated high school in 1989. Assuming an age of 18 for that year, he would be 42 now, give or take a year.

Also there is a picture on the page but it isn't a great one (he's skiing or snowboarding).

    ...

    EDIT:

Kevin Quinn also needs an age boost: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/kevin-quinn/13/8a3/812?trk=pub-pbmap

He graduated high school in '81, making him about 50 right now.

    EDIT:

Add James Patts to WWE Production Staff under a written contract: http://www.jamespatts.com/about-me.html (Pic is on the website). I'd give him around 85 talent and 95 behavior. Age would be around 35 according to LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/jamespatts?trk=pub-pbmap

Adam Pennucci needs an age boost to around 42: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/adam-pennucci/44/833/96a - Graduated college in '94

  7. Lower CM Punk's Behaviour and Attitude by 10/15 each, if you watch his DVD he explains that he refused a lot of what the writers gave to him and told them what he wanted to do and a load more.

And you think that's reason enough to lower attitude and behavior? The guy was given control over his character so of course he's going to change stuff and determine what he wants to do - I'm sure most main eventers do. It's been a while since I watched the documentary of the DVD, but I don't remember anything that gave off that vibe. Besides, lowering behavior in this instance doesn't make sense and it's already somewhat low at 73. If anything is lowered, it should just be attitude, which is already 81. I don't think it needs lowered anymore.

  8. No problem. I didn't realize you'd helped Kris with the 1975 mod. I guess manually converting it over to TEW would be the easiest first step and then expanding upon it with additional info.

My three favorite resource sites are Cage Match, Online World Of Wrestling, and Wikipedia (With Lucha Wiki being awesome for Mexican wrestling). Wrestling Data is usually just for sorting out inconsistencies/discrepancies between sites, kind of a tie breaker or last resource I consult before making a final decision on whether to include something or change something.

I've got my hands full with my 1998 EWR scenario, but I wish you the best of luck and if you do need some help researching stuff I can try to lend you a hand.

  9. What happened between Taz and RVD? Did I miss something? http://gyazo.com/734135e30f7ca26cfa6119065210e308

They had a widely-reported fight years ago in ECW. I have no idea if they still have heat or not.

-There is no way Necro Butcher is a better brawler than Undertaker. I would raise Undertaker's brawl to the mid 80s and lower Necro Butcher's brawl to 81.

When RVD was in TNA everytime he came out Taz mentioned about how much of a good friend he was and how they go way back and how he's faced RVD many times etc so I think it should be changed into a friendship.

Not disputing it, but that could have been in character.

  10. The only people chanting boring and booing him are the internet fans who think it's cool to hate on Cena when it's really stale now. I think that he is going to turn heel but he doesn't deserve any less than 95 Charisma, I can't name 5 people who are more charismatic than him, the only person I can think of on the spot is CM Punk.

That's obviously not the only people. They were in attendance and the chants were quite loud. He didn't even get through his whole promo about his match before they were chanting BORING.

The Rock is definitely more charismatic. I would say guys like Sting bring more natural energy and don't come across as nearly as forced and can actually convey emotion and cut compelling promos. Then there's the litany of legends - Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Paul Heyman, Steve Austin, etc. - who are just as good if not better.

  11. Why has Ambrose's charisma been lowered from 87/88 to 83? I mean Derrick Bateman, Alberto Del Rio and Antonio Cesaro have higher charisma than him (84) Just curious. I'd say 86 AT LEAST for Dean Ambrose.

When multiple people suggest stat changes, I do my best to go with a happy medium. When certain workers are argued over month after month, their stats will likley change month by month, becaue of people's varying opinions and who voices them that month. Cena and Orton are two other workers that nobody ever seems happy with.

Personally (and I know I'm gonna take crap for this)... I don't know what some people see in Ambrose. IMO, he should be lower than Cesaro and Del Rio... Bateman's charisma probably needs lowered in the scenario you mention above, but personally, I'd put Rollins and Reigns ahead of Ambrose, charisma-wise. But, I don't factor my personal opinion into things too often and didn't in this case, either... Which is why Ambrose's charisma is higher than Rollins and Reigns.

I'm not gonna give you crap for it. I mean, all this stuff is opinion-based, and I'm voicing mine. I just don't feel like most people know what Dean Ambrose is capable of. It reminds me of when people were saying CM Punk was less charismatic than Randy Orton just because Punk didn't get the chance to display what he can do on the mic. Those who watched him elsewhere knew, but he wasn't given the time or opportunity in WWE yet. Shield has had brief promos that are basically soundbytes chopped up and once in a while they get a mic for a minute.

Between his mannerisms and his promos when he was Jon Moxley, I think the guy deserves charisma in the high 80s and maybe better than that, but much like the CM Punk debate, I can't explain it until he demonstrates it on a large scale in WWE.

He's just so different and more like a real actor, I guess... I'll drop one promo here, since I don't want to derail this thread into a debate about one guy:

I just see a lot of classic Funk and Foley and Raven in there...

    EDIT: Ah, fuck it, lol

Wanted to add: Cena just got loud BORING chants during his last promo on Raw and in the few before that he wasn't getting loud crowd reactions either way, and when he was, they were boos. Cena can play up the fact he's "transcending" the stereotypes of faces and heels, but to me the guy is a babyface who is getting booed, much like HBK in '97 or Hogan in '95, and they all had to change and go heel because their act was stale and their promos weren't convincing or connecting with the crowd. I think that Cena has been in this spot for several years now and he doesn't deserve charisma in the top tier.

  12. Some TNA Suggestions :

Raise Jeff Hardy's Brawling to 72 Speed to 77 Technical to 63 Lower his selling to 87 Overness to 92

Lower Kurt Angle's Charisma to 91

    Lower Magnus's Charisma to 78

Raise Sting's Overness to 93 Brawling to 76

I think Jeff Hardy is more over than Sting. Jeff has been World Champion multiple times in WWE and TNA and he just seems to be more of a big-name star than Sting by a hair. If anything, have Hardy around 93-94 in over, and Sting a point below that.

I don't think Magnus or Angle need their charismas lowered. Both are solid promos with Kurt having the widest versatility and range in character in just about ANYONE. Most top level charismatic performers have only done one character. Ric Flair, John Cena, The Rock, Stone Cold, etc. remained virtually unchanged. On the contrary, Kurt Angle and I guess Chris Jericho are among the few who have drastically altered characters and still cut amazing promos on a regular basis. Kurt has done everything from cornball face to vicious heel to leader of an elitist stable to his current role as leader of the locker room. He's done really good promos all the way through. I can't see him being less than 95 for that reason.

  13. maybe i missed it before, but why isnt tna a "global" company?

They aren't on the same tier as WWE. Nobody is at this point. No one else has such a global presence. While TNA has done shows in Europe and elsewhere, so has AAA, I believe. WWE does shows worldwide. It has the largest market share and market penetration by far. Its stars are undoubtedly the biggest in the world and there isn't really a close #2. TNA is the #2, clearly, but they are far behind. I would say 85% at national while WWE is 78% at global makes sense, though.

  14. By the way, obviously a huge thank you for continuing with these updates, Bill. I haven't said it in a while but it's pretty amazing how you're able to put these out every month and have done so for so long.

Anybody else think TNA should be around 85% National now? They've been doing well in arenas around the US and have a dozen stars who are globally recognized. Just a thought, but I feel like 73% is more representative of where they were in 2011.

I'm pretty sure I made a ton of TNA change suggestions last update that haven't been done yet, so I'll hold off.

  15. WWE stats suggestions:

Raise Alberto Del Rio's stiffness to 50 - his kicks look really good and I feel like 42 is just a tad low since he does a lot of strikes and holds that all look crisp

Raise Antonio Cesaro's selling to 78 - he is better than 73... guy can have a really good psychology-based match with anyone and never seems to under-sell opponent's offense

Raise Big E Langston's over to 69 - The guy has destroyed Kane, Cena, etc. and has been accompanying Ziggler and AJ for a few months now while getting solid crowd reactions

Lower Brock Lesnar's speed to 45 - I haven't seen him do any real speed-based stuff since his return and he's not as quick as he was in even 2004 and 52 is just one point lower than Cody Rhodes who does springboard kicks and Fandango who does flying legdrops and stuff

Raise Christian's speed to 65 - I know he hasn't been wrestling regularly lately but he's still able to do speed-based matches with the younger guys

Raise Dean Ambrose's charisma to 87 - Like the person above me I don't know why it was lowered. He's the main promo guy of The Shield and the segments have been really good, plus he's capable of so much more that he hasn't even displayed yet.

    Lower Dolph Ziggler's charisma to 85 - I'm surprised he's so high at 89

Lower Drew McIntyre's charisma to 81

Lower Jerry Lawler's charisma to 88 - I know he's one of the best commentators but he's definitely lost some steps and says a lot of dumb things during commentary. I get that commentary is tough but he's not as charismatic as he used to be.

Lower John Cena's charisma to 94 - I wouldn't class him as "ultra-charismatic" with the level of promos he's been cutting the last few years. He seems forced and cheesy at times. I get he's still ultra-popular and deserves the 99 over, but his actual promos tend to lack something.

Lower Kassius Ohno's speed to 66 - 71 seems a bit high for him

Lower Kevin Nash's charisma to 90 - 94 is really high for the guy's promos

Lower Randy Orton's charisma to 83 - The guy doesn't cut promos on the level of anyone above that and even with his natural charisma it's pushing it

Raise Ric Flair's charisma to 97 - The guy's still one of the best promos in wrestling and has something special that most guys never will

Raise Roman Reigns' over to 78 - Dean Ambrose is 79 and right now Reigns is 73, too far behind his Shield teammate

    Lower R-Truth's over to 81

Lower Ryback's speed to 45 and raise technical to 39

Raise Seth Rollins' over to 78 and selling to 87

Raise Shawn Michaels' selling to 92

    Lower Sheamus' charisma to 85

Raise Tyson Kidd's speed to 80

Lower Vickie Guerrero's charisma to 82 - another losing battle but come on, her promos and segments aren't that good. She gets booed because she's annoying as shit and usually only shows up to deliver news that pisses off the fans.

Lower Zack Ryder's over to 70 - he's gone down a bit in terms of popularity since his brief US Title reign
