I have been following the Adu news since the U20 WC since he has been getting quite a bit of intrest and it looks like he may be close to a move overseas soon altough this is just rumor at this point. Here is what I found:

I dont know if it has been mentioned but apparently Adu's agent is going to be talking with Celtic next week, who knows if anything comes of it.

USA beats Brazil 2-1 now possibly putting Brazil out of the round of 16. Josmer Altidore scored both of the goals and I think that he and Adu should probably get the call for the National team in the near future.

Wow I am kinda suprised that ESPN is airing the Brazil v. USA game. I mean they didnt air any of the U.S. National team's games in 2 different tournaments, but they are airing a U-20 World Cup game, I am not complaing since I will defiantly be watching this game.

It not so much that the Cleveland teams are the worst it is just that they have terrible luck. The Cavs were one of the top teams in the late 80's and would have surely made the finals if it weren't for the guy name Mike. The problem with the Browns has countiusly been the management so I am not going to dispute that they have done bad but for whatever it is worth for whatever reason, Browns game are the hardest ticket to get out of the three major sports. And with the Indians were very good and in contention throughout most of the 90's and are back to that level again so that one is easily disputed. I look back at the Indians teams such as the 95 team and wonder how the hell they didnt win the World Series or even 97 for that matter, those lineups were amazing. The Cleveland teams have countiusly fell short but I think that is far from being the worst franchises.

It was Tony Meola but he only tried out for the team and I am not really sure if he made the Jets or not.

The east isnt as bad as people seem to think the bottom of the confence may be terrible but at the the top you have Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, and Miami and then teams such as Toronto, Washington, and Orlando that are to far off from being very good teams.

Hell must be frezzing over the Knicks were able to trade Francis ugly contract and actually get a good player if he doesnt have off court issues in Randolph. Pretty sure the trade was: Knicks get Randolph, Dickau, other player Blazers get Francis and Frye

And not long after I say that Crespo scores to even it back up at 1-1.

US 1-0 I dont even know what I would do if the US wins this going against basically a close to World Cup Argentina squad.

I think that he was talking about last year but forgot that the Nets only made it to the semi's. I really dont seeing Boston being that much better, they are probably a playoff team possible right now but other then Allen, Pierce, and Jefferson they dont really have anybody. The Bulls take Noah and countiue to have no low post precense offensively so I am happy, along with that I think that Noah is overrated.

I will be watching Copa America as long as I am not working because I am intrested to see how the US can do. The most likely reason that the US brought a different team was because even thought the Gold Cup may not be as prestigious as Copa America a Confederations Cup spot in '09 was up for grabs for the winner so that could be more important facing tough competition the year before the World Cup. I think that the US can still do ok but it will definalty be alot harder now with some of the key players gone, but atleast it will get some of the younger guys some good experience. It will also be intresting to see how the new forwards that we brought along play being Herculez Gomez and Chalie Davies since we still dont have a clear cut guy that we can get the ball to, to score when we need it.

I think that if Billups does indeed leave Detroit that will probably be a big blow altough he seemed to be "shaken" for most of the series against Cavs. That said I will be kinda suprised if he does leave since he will probably get a good sized contract and there may not be many teams out there that he wants to play for that could pay him.

I am pretty sure that Mexico is bringing basically the same team as far as I know and the USA is bring most of the same as well but will probably have a more consistent line up then they have had in the Gold Cup. I know that for the Gold Cup, Bradley tried out alot of different players at the central midfield postions and Defensive positions, along with messing with who is going to be paired up top. Obviously I am looking forward to actually being able to watch the final for the Gold Cup, since a Confederation Cup place is on the line, but Copa America will be intresting to see how the USA can play against some of the tougher competition outside the WC.

I have resulted to "watching" this game on ESPN gamecast because my cable package doesnt have FSC and the game is not being played on the same spanish channel it was on last time, needless to say I am unhappy but I am hoping that the US can pull this one out.

Oh I am not doubting that Mexico is at the top of Concacaf, altough that is not saying much right now but they are not the king of this region that they used to be and that is why I feel that any of the teams left would have a shot at them in the finals. Sorta off topic but the thing that US badly needs is a above average finisher. After watching alot of there games through the Gold Cup they get tons of chances yet come up short more often then not on clear goal scoring oppurtuinites. I really dont think anyone currently on the team really fits that role other then maybe Eddie Johnson who is young and succeded early but has gone into a drought for a while. Hopefully they can either have one of the guys step up on the team or develop a guy like Altidore in the MLS, or they will not move any farther in the international competitions.

I'd have to say that I am even more frustrated since I live in the country that the tournament is in(the US) and dont have the channels on my cable package to watch the games and had to watch the games on a spanish channel to see the game at all. On the subject of the game I really think that whoever wins the game between the US and Canada has a pretty good shot at winning the whole thing. I realize Mexico is a good team but I just dont think they are at the level they used to be.

US beats Panama 2-1 altough it could have easily been 4 or 5-1 if the US was actually able to convert on most of thier oppurtunites. The next stop for us will be against Canada and altough I think we should be able to beat them if Canada is able to create some chances and score a goal or two the US might be in trouble since they have just been having trouble finishing the whole Cup so far. Altough we have won every game we have played so far most of the games have been underwhelming and we should have played better then we did. I am intrested in seeing the next game vs. Canada to see if the US is finally able to bring thier A game.

I havent been able to catch the US games so far since I dont havee FSC or any of the other channels that they are showing the Gold Cup on but I am glad that they beat T & T today and get through to the QF with goals from Johnson and Ching. I am hoping that we dont really have any problems till the Finals where we likely will be facing Mexico which should be another good match. Considering that it is another game on US soil if that were the eventual final I would like our chances against Mexico, but until we hopefully get to the finals I hope we have some strong games becasue from what I have been reading about the first two games is that we have had tons of easy chances and have squandered many of them.

I am pretty sure that we arent even getting any of the games other then on Fox SOccer Channel here in the US so unless they decided to show the game on one of the Espns I am going to miss the Gold Cup. Atleast I have Copa America to look for which starts like a week after the Gold Cup and actually involves quality teams.

Lebron really didnt have a bad game at all, he had 20 pts, 14 rebs, and 8 assists and altougth that isnt up to what he has had in points in terms of other games in this series it is still damn good. He was actually getting double teamed early in the shot clock and that effected him not being able to get to the basket, so he was able to find Gibson for some huge shots. I am incredibly happy to be going to the finals and I hope that we can make something of this oppurtuinty.

Yeah now that you bring that up high school football here is primaily on Fridays so if that is when the game are broadcast I am betting that alot of the football fans that might watch the games are going to be at the local high schools watching games. Broadcasting in the spring just makes alot more sense to me and the league would probably actually last in the spring as well.

That was one of the best Playoff performance that i have seen considering what he did from most of the forth quarter on it defiantly ranks up there. I am just glad that this will silence some of the people that said he wasnt clutch, he just packed that game full of clutch.

Yeah the key is defiantly the next game if some how Cleveland can pull out the victory in Detorit I have a feeling that Cleveland will play alot harder then last year to try and get into the finals. Gibson was defiantly a bright spot tonight and I believe that he is a player that will countiue to excel in the future.
