  1. The Answer to the Browns problems:
  2. Another thing about Crennel and the browns record last year is that they had argueblly the easiest schedule in the NFL and still played almost all of the games close even against teams such as the rams which they should have beat handily. The personel decisions that he has made throughtout his time here have been suspect at times such as choosing Charlie Frye above anybody else and giving Anderson way to long before finally pulling him and as has been mention his clock management at times was downright horrible. This offseason I wouldnt be suprised to see Anderson gone along with Edwards probably being shown the door since he cant even catch a cold. I expect alot of moves to happen this offseason and the only people I likely seeing being for sure with the Browns next year are Quinn and Shaun Rodgers, I really woundnt be sad about losing anyone else this season was a disaster and a dissapointment.
  3. You had me excited for a second cause I thought it was a player signing for the MLS. But anyways it has been good to see MLS players and staff make the move to Europe because for now it can show some players that the MLS can be a stepping stone to Europe right now. In the long run I would hope that the MLS would try to keep it players and staff but if it helps build the reputation of the league then I am all for it.
  4. I really am hoping for some snaps under center for Josh Cribbs it really would be the only reason I would watch their games the rest of the season. As bad as this season has been I am just glad Romeo is going to be gone, I mean it is alright if you are a player coach and they work hard for you but when you can't command any respect from the team and things are just falling apart around you and you do absolutely nothing then you deserve to go.
  5. I missed the beginning of the game but it had been a pretty good back and forth game so far with Columbus taking the early lead on a Javier Moreno goal. Edit: Well this game just got exciting New York ties the game up and then Columbus answers not even nearly the next time down the field.
  6. I think the city of Cleveland is melting down, if Crennel is the coach for much longer management is risking losing fans. There is no doubt that Quinn had a bad game and if it was because of his bum finger he shouldn't have played period. But if in fact he was pulled because of his "play", that is total bull compared to what we had to put up for half the season with Anderception and he was not once pulled. Braylon Edwards may also currently be the most hated man in Cleveland, it just seems like he doesnt care out there and he easily leads the league in drops. Sorry for the rant but after seeing such high powered offense last year it is just hard to take in the years edition of the Cleveland Browns.
  7. Obviously having a good reserve team division in the long run would probably help the MLS, but I think they have been putting a lot of effort into establishing youth academies. I think those in the long run will have a much greater impact then the reserve teams have had and the reserve teams can always be brought back in the future if the demand is there. Also it is good to see Landon Donavon go on loan to Bayern Munich right now and at worst expose his talent to Europe if he doesn't make a more permanent move with the team in the summer window.
  8. Not going to lie Brady forced some throws throughout the game and lucked out a couple times with the dropped interceptions. With that being said he still looked confident in the pocket other then when he was getting bull rushed and would have completed more of his passes if A) he had more time for some of the throws and B) our team didn't continue to have a case of the dropsies. Overall he really didn't have that bad of a game and got the short end of the stick on some bad play calling. The ? that I really have is why isnt Jerome Harrison sharing more carries with J. Lewis, ever time Harrison is out there he seems like he is making plays.
  9. I not even much of an Ohio State fan more of a Bowling Green fan since that is where I go but seeing Michigan fail so hard is pretty entertaining either way. And I can't believe that Notre Dame almost gave up their game against Navy, my roommate said he turned off the game with 5 min. to go with a pretty good feeling they had the win secured and he came to find out Navy nearly tied the game up.
  10. Quinn in for Anderson this week for the Browns with a game coming up on Thursday. To me it has been a long time coming Anderson has been nowhere near consistent enough dating all the way back to last season when he basically cost us a playoff spot against the Bengals in the second to last week of the season. I am not expecting Quinn to be the next great NFL QB but I want to see what we have in him since all Anderson has showed is that he is terribly inconsistent and cracks under the pressure when the game is on the line. Wish this move would have been made earlier in the season especially with a short week going into Quinn's first start. Either way I am excited to see a change made and I want to see what Quinn can do.
  11. Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa, England), Troy Perkins (Valerenga, Norway); Defenders: Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Danny Califf (Midtjylland, Denmark), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus), Michael Orozco (San Luis, Mexico), Heath Pearce (Hansa Rostock, Germany), Marvell Wynne (Toronto); Midfielders: Freddy Adu (AS Monaco), DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers, Scotland), Brian Carroll (Columbus), Maurice Edu (Glasgow Rangers, Scotland), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Danny Szetela (Brescia, Italy), Jose Francisco Torres (Pachuca, Mexico); Forwards: Jozy Altidore (Villarreal, Spain), Charlie Davies (Hammarby, Sweden), Chris Rolfe (Chicago) That the roster for the U.S. for the game this week against Trinidad and Tobago, it is good to see alot of the younger guys getting a chance now that we have for sure qualified for the next round. Guzan, Adu, and Altidore probably all get starts for this game so it will be interesting to see how they do against a T&T team that isnt bad. Torres who recently choose playing for U.S. rather then Mexico looks to probably get some more time after not looking bad in his debut. One of the guys who I hope gets some time is Charlie Davies who has been looking good with Hammarby and showed some moments in the small time he had in the Olympics.
  12. Didnt see your post till now since I was gone for most of the weekend but yeah people are pretty pumped about the win over here and from what I am hearing this weekend game should be a near if not actual sellout. Like I said before it would be tough but if we were able to somehow come out of the OOC schedule with no loss and that really is a big if cause we are playing big schools things would definatly be looking good going into the MAC portion of the schedule.
  13. The school I go to BGSU went into Pitt and beat them by 10 which should help erase some of the memory of the 63-7 beatdown we took in our bowl game. A win against Minnesota and Boise St. could land us enough votes to break the top 25, I am just being opptimisitc but we shall see.
  14. Yeah Mo Edu looked good in the Olympics and he wasnt even playing his natural postiton, good to see him get a chance overseas espesially with a team like Rangers who will "usually" be playing in Europe.
  15. US vs. Japan soccer: Spoiler: Click here to viewGood to see the US get a win against Japan even if they were lucky to win 1-0. They held possesion pretty well but Japan had a couple of counter attacks that could have easily been goals. This game was a must win with the other 2 teams we are facing, if we wanted any chance of advancing. Next up is the Dutch, which is a game that getting any points from would go a long way to ensuring we get to the next round. Too bad the soccer games are so early in the morning but I will still be watching to matter when they are on. Figured I might want to spoiler that in case anybody might watch the game online or a replay of the game.
  16. In that case Field Hockey groups and when the games are played.
  17. Olympic Hockey doesnt start until about January 2010 in Canada. I dont know if you were being serious or not but that would probably be why you couldnt find anything on it if you were in fact serious.
  18. I will likely be up bright and early to watch the US vs. Japan game at 5 a.m. tommorrow. Olympic soccer doesnt mean a ton since it is age restricted but I think a good result in China would defiantly be good for the future.
  19. Another American looks to be heading over to Europe, Kenny Cooper who did spent a couple of years with ManU reserve squad looks to be heading to Cardiff City for between $3-4 million in the next couple days. Rosenborg of the Norweigen league was also said to be intrested. Another American who is still out there is Micheal Bradley who had 19 goals last year for Heerenveen of the Dutch Premier League. The teams that seem to have the highest bids so far are Bayer Leverkusen, Middlesbrough, and AS Monaco, who recently got Adu on loan. It looks like Heerenveen want too much at this point and are going to wait until after the Olympics which he is playing in to try and sell him.
  20. Has there been any more news on Guzan's work permit situation because from what I have heard he should have had no problem getting it this time around.
  21. I just throwing something out there since I just recently heard about him but his name is Shwayze, he has been getting some play on MTV recently and has yet to release his first album but if you look around you should be able to "aquire" some of his songs. I like the songs of have heard from him and here is one of his songs I found:
  22. As far as I know Guzan should have no problem getting a work permit this time around he has been playing quite a bit with the national team lately when Howard hasnt been in, and should have enough time to get a permit. On another note it looks like Freddy Adu is going to AS Monaco in Ligue One on loan with the option to buy. Should be a good move for him since he has gone through 4 coaches already in the past year and was riding the pine. Dont know what the situation is like at Monaco but he should atleast have more of an oppurtuity to play then he did an Benfica.
  23. I dont know where you would be able to find the full length episodes but I have seen "The Drug Years" on VH1 a couple of times and it was just really intresting to see the "evolution" of drugs. On a somewhat related note The Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel in actually a TV series but it is about crab fishing up in Alaska that I have been watching for a couple seasons now. I know it is somewhat popular but I thought I might as well throw it out there.
  24. Wow I cant believe the AL didn't win it with the bases loaded and no outs.
  25. Just something that I found when looking for transfer news about some of the American players that are playing over in Europe. I have also heard that Adu may possibly go on loan to AS Monaco as well so it will be intresting to see how that shakes out.
