  1. Yeah I agree, Larry Hughes recently has been somewhat of a liability on the offensive end but I got to give him credit cause he is one of the reasons that the Pistons guards arent playing as good as they usually do. I think we should be able to do fine with out Larry for maybe a game or two but I hope he isnt out for that long.
  2. And believe me we think about that in Cleveland as well, Redd/Lebron would be one of the top scoring duo's in the league and if Lebron did decide to pass at the end of the games nobody would be complaining if it was going to Micheal Redd. Along with that the way that Marshall and Hughes arent really showing the are worthy of thier contracts and D. Jones sits on the bench and is just the team jester so not having those guys wouldnt be a huge deal altough I have liked Hughes's D espesially this series. Obviously I am happy with this team now because they are in the ECF and have a nice future with Lebron around. The key for this team will be in 2 years when it is the year before Lebron's possible last season(has a player's option for another season) the only players that are signed for sure are Lebron and a couple other guys and the big bad contracts such as D Jones, Marshall, and Eric Snow all come off the books and we should have a lot of wiggle room to hopefully go out and get a high quality player to go along with Lebron.
  3. Getting Garnett to Cleveland would be virturally impossible. We have a bunch of bad contracts that dont expire for another couple years and trading what else we would have left if Minn would even take it would pretty much gut this team and since we are in the ECF I wouldnt want to do that, I do understand that changes need to be made. They need a playmaking PG a la Andre Miller or Jason Kidd, who can let Lebron move off the ball and get easier baskets. Gibson IMO would be a better SG that could also handle the ball sometimes but be the shooter that he is that gets the kick outs when lebron drives to the basket.
  4. Also another big week coming up for the Indians with a 3 game series against the Red Sox and then a 4 game against the Tigers again. We have been playing like one of the best teams in baseball lately and this week we can prove wheather or not we deserve to be.
  5. I doubt that teams would just let stars join other teams based on how the contracts currently are in Professional sports here in the US. I just doubt that regulation could work in any of the professional leagues that are already establish because they have been running this way for close to 100 years in terms of baseball atleast and the casual fan wouldnt keep track of a team that gets sent down. The only way that regulation would work would be if a new league came about and regulations was built into the system.
  6. The refs so far in the series have not called many touch fouls at all and that is defiantly in favor of the Pistons because they are a more physical team. I am not saying that they are calling the games unfairly, they are just letting alot of things go on both ends of the floor. If the Pistons play the same way that they did at home against the Cavs I could easily see the Cavs even up the series, not saying that it is likely but I wouldnt say it is impossible.
  7. I am not going to tottaly blame the reffing for the loss because the third quarter for us was just bad, but Sheed defiantly pushed off on Varajeo when he made his shot for the lead and it is debateable but to me thier was alot of contact when Lebron went to the hoop. The thing that really kills me then the no calls though was the fact that Larry aboslutly short armed a wide open 7 footer when he still had lots of time on the clock. I know the Pistons are a good road team and are up 2-0 but they have not really shown me so far this series that they can "beat" the Cavs, I mean the Cavs have had the possesion for the last shot in both of the games and if they make both shots they are up 2-0. Obviously that is not the case but I am just saying that this series is still far from over espesially now that we are going back to Cleveland in the same situation as last year, who knows what is going to happen. This has been a exciting series for me so far.
  8. I just find that to be BS, I have heard it mentioned many times but people are less likely to see Durant and Oden now since they are going to be playing the majority of thier games on the West Coast. Putting them on TV late most of the time for people on the East coast, so why would the NBA want to do that. I also think that if anything Durant going to Seattle likely keeps them their rather helps them move. Along with those reasons why would they purposely make the West even stronger when they could "fix" the picks for east teams such as Atlanta and Boston and hopefully make them more competive. No matter what happens in the lottery every year thier will countiue to be conspiricy theorys. On the note of Portland I love how in one day they have gone from a nice young team to young team that will soon be elite. As Phenom said they dont have that superstar player but they do have potential. Oden is good there no doubt about that but he is somewhat overhyped, he will be good on the defensive end for sure when he comes out but I think it will take him sometime to adjust in the NBA on the offensive side of the ball. I am not doubting that Portland can eventually be good with some other moves that they make in the future but it is almost like people are forgeting that this was the 6th worst team in the NBA last year.
  9. My only real complaint with the episode was the way that Charlie died it just seemed pointless. It seem pointless when he could have closed the door from the outside and still stayed alive. I understand that he wanted to follow through on Desmond's vison but it just seem unnessary the way he died.
  10. I am just glad that the Bulls didnt get a high pick and that the Suns didnt get the 4 like they were likely to end up with. It will also be intresting to see what the Hawks do seeing as they have the #3 and the #11.
  11. They will probably have confidence since they showed that they can play close to the Pistons even when Lebron has a terrible game. I realize that some of Lebron trouble was due to the Pistons defense but I doubt you are going to see him score just 10 points again. Along with that Sasha altough not a star player by any means usually shots better then he did last night as well. They were wide open shot from being up 1-0 and taking away the Pistons home court advantage. Even though I dont think the Pistons will play as bad as they did last night the Cavs D defiantly had an effect on them. The whole reason that I am saying that the Cavs probably gained some confidence was because if you would have told me they would lose by only 3 when Lebron scored only 10 points I would be surpised that it was anywhere near that close. This whole series is going to be a grind em out type series and atleast for me as a Cavs fan will be fun to watch and I wish I didnt have to wait till Thursday for game 2.
  12. Lebron made the right play at the end and Marshall was so wide open it wasnt even funny but just didnt hit the shot. They went for the win and that is right move when you are on the road it just didnt work out in the end. This game should give them alot of confidence for the rest of the series and if Cleveland can steal game 2 then this series will be wide open going into Cleveland.
  13. Hey if we only lose 1 out of every 5 starts we shouldnt be to bad.
  14. Thats going a bit far he prove himself last year that he has the potential to be a really good pitcher he is just going through a bit of a sophomore slump right now and if anything he will get sometime in AAA to try and get his game back once Westbrook comes back. I know it isnt entirely the same but Carmona pitched well when he came up at the end of the 05 season and then he completely bombed last year out of the bullpen and now he is playing like one of the best pitchers in baseball, Sowers just needs some more time and he will be ok. It is hard to be unhappy anyways since we have actually been playing good baseball at the beginning of the year for once and we havent even had the team fire at all cylinders yet with various hitter slumping at times throughout the season so far, an along with that we have tons of depth in everything other then the bullpen and the bullpen is looking good so far, needless to say I am happy with how the Indians are playing of course not saying that you aren't.
  15. It will be intresting to see if Flip can finally make the adjustments and get one of his teams to the Finals, the talent is obviously there so we shall see. Obviously being from the Cleveland area I want to see the Cavs make it to the Finals and whatever happens there happens, but Detriot is a really good team so it is going to be hard to do. The key for us is to try and split on the road the first two games and play well at home like we usually do (not including game 5 vs the Nets). The dream matchup for me in the Finals would be Utah vs. Cleveland, altough I think Cleveland fans are over the Boozer debacle now it would be great to stick it to him in a series espeailly to get the titile. If we can get some of the guys to step up around Lebron like Pavlovic has been doing then this should be another hard fought between the two teams which I could easily see going 6 or 7 games.
  16. Yeah I have been watching the season so far so I was glad they got this maraton so more people will notice the show, it really is a great show IMO. I have been tuning in and out throughout most of the day to watch some of the skits and it also gives me something to watch at 3 in the morining when I am still awake.
  17. After some of incidents that have happened in the past such as the Fight in Detriot or the fight in New York this year, the league has been more strict about enforcing the rule to prevent anything like that from happening again. Who knows if neither of those incidents happened, Diaw and Amare may have just gotten off with a slap on the wrist. The fact is however stupid the rule is it is still a rule and until it is take out, it will be enforced.
  18. It seems to me that the only reason this is as big an issue as it is, is because it was Amare a All-star player that is the one getting suspended. If the 12th man on the bench for the Suns was one of the guys that ran on to the court and got suspended everyone would agree that what he did was against the rules and he should be reprimanded accordingly. Amare went on to the court when he should not have and he should have known that doing so could lead to himself getting in to trouble like he eventually did. What ever you think of the rule, the rule is in the books so it is going to being enforced no matter who it was breaking the rule. If the league decided to give him a free pass since it is the playoffs and they didnt want to change the intergrity of the series, you would have tough appeals in the future when a player did the same thing and use this incident as a reason they shouldnt be reprimaned. I know it is an over used phrase but if you dont want to do the time then dont do the crime, however stupid the crime may be.
  19. What happened to Detriot I thought that they had their series wrapped up and were going to sweep and now they are going back to the United Center for game 6. Obviously I want this series to go as far as possible since I am a Cavs fan but I am surprised that the Bulls are back in it, if they can take the next game at home which I think isnt that big of a hurdle all the pressure would be on Detriot for game 7. All I was hearing before this was how was going to be cruising to the Finals but now they could be in trouble all the pressure the rest of the way is on Detriot and even though they are a vetern team who really knows what is going to happen.
  20. Yeah Lost has really been good lately I have been pretty intrested in the last few episodes which have actually gave us some answers but of course rasied alot more questions. Also for anyone that cares one of the lost websites that I go to that is pretty detailed Lostpedia is pretty good and gives alot of details on all differents stuff.
  21. Doesnt really surprise me at all, Ricky bascially quit football to be able to smoke so it isnt any surprise to me that he is still smoking.
  22. Who knows maybe Keyshawn is retiring now and the Panthers are just letting him go, if not I hope that the Browns make a run at him. He might now be what he used to be but I think he still has some left in the tank.
  23. I was kinda surprised to see Darius Walker go undrafted, I realize that he is undersized but he had a pretty good career at ND and I thought someone would aleast take him in the later rounds. I hope that the Browns bring him in and give him a look we could use the help at the RB position.
