... I just entered my SP Minecraft world, and-- I shit you not-- as I spawn in my secure base with ample lighting and locked doors, a creeper spawned in the ceiling above me and blew up my stuff. HOW IN THE HELL.

Lighting is fucked kinda. Unless every block is glowstone or has a torch on it something might spawn there. That's just in my experience though.

See, that would make sense except that it spawned INSIDE OF my ceiling, a ceiling which has no voids inside of it. I spawned and literally saw a creeper just hanging from the ceiling halfway a split-second before it blew up.

Same shit happened to me. Haven't played for awhile, updated, spawned in my secure base on the 3rd floor with wool floors (which mobs aren't supposed to spawn on), and...Creeper! Boom! Huge hole in my base now..
