Give me five minutes or so and I'll edit this post with some rules, unless you both agree on Faded's. Here you go: Rules: You're to design a graphic, the theme being 'Your Perfect Enemy'. Come up with something, be it an event, person, animal or object that you would consider your worst enemy, and do a graphic of it. It could be something you hate the most, are fearful of...anything, really. Size: No maximum size limit, but let's set the minimum to 400x400. Graphic must be larger then that atleast. Restrictions: You MUST include a border and a title, and something that fits the theme of the graphic obviously. Votes: First to 3 wins Hope you enjoy the rules if you go with them.

No problem. A site I'd suggest to browse fonts with is DAfont.com, it's got a pretty good selection. There's more in the resource thread, definitely check it out when you get the chance to :thumbsup:

So you're saying it'd be funny if they were gay? The graphics are okay, good for a beginner actually. If you cut those out yourself then good job, but you definitely need a better font choice, the one you used is too rough. Likewise, the background is really just some simple effects. Try experimenting a little more and coming up with different things. Check the resource thread to find some tutorials to get you started, then go from there. Oh, and it needs a border :thumbsup: 5/10 for both, you'll improve

Ah, I get you now drags. Your comment kinda came off harsh and cold though, not as light hearted as you may have wanted it to be. It just bothered me that you hadn't given criticism, and instead opted to 'flame'. Glad you gave a reason though and some criticism. And JP, I know you hadn't asked, but in all honesty it'll probably wind up happening when anyone posts a graphic. You'll get comments both good and bad, regardless of whether or not you like them. Not trying to dispute with either of you, just saying.

Yeah drags, lay off. JP is a damn good graphic designer, I've seen some really good stuff from him. Don't rag on peoples work without showing that you can do them better. Of course, if you're just a critic, then maybe you should justify your response with...oh I don't know, a reason?

Not bad, but it eerily resembles a peice I did a while back called 'Abstract Spiral'. I'm thinking it's mainly the spiral and the font effect that look similar though

Alright, to those of you who are known as 'among the best' around here (I know I'm considered as being one too, hence why I'm requesting this), I'd like to have a fun little pong match. I want to go against someone I KNOW is going to take my shit and make something awesome, with which I can return the favor on theirs. Any takers? I'm looking at guys like AJ, FSF, etc. I'd rather not go against Dochappy or Flowzen because I'm LOVING their pong battle, and wouldn't want to distract them.

Which is exactly what I do. I get a shitload of stock photos, experiment around with my brushes and different layer effects and just see what comes out best. Right now I'm learning how to color using Photoshop as well, tricky as hell to make it look good...I'm amazed my girlfriend does it as well as she does. Once I get this down I'll start trying coloring shit in and seeing if I can manipulate this coloring thing into my graphics...maybe I can come up with some cool effects with it.

I just shove myself into the fray and have at it, lol I swear I was driving Basha nuts for awhile, and it looks like maddogg and I have built up a little rivalry. I think I did fairly well
