  1. For some reason, that's one of those films that will seem so brilliant when I watch it, but I'll completely forget what happened by the next day. As such, I might very well tape it tonight. Talking of the film, whatever happened to the spinoff series? It was there one minute, with very little hype, and gone the next.
  2. I hated the "cancer returns" storyline since the start, but now it's finally give us some decent TV. Sure, it was a little cliched, and some might argue it was predictable, but I really thought it was done perfectly. Unfortunatly, neighbours is starting to get a bit overbearing. We've got Paul's murder, possibly, still out there, Lou manipulating Izzy, Stephanie having cancer and so many other unlikely big stories that it's turning into a Meltdown. What happened to the days when Neighbours was all so simple?
  3. Without getting into spoilers (so don't any of you dare post them), does anyone else get the feeling that the whole Izzy storyline is to make us believe that Darcey is about to return, only to swerve us all?
  4. By far the best episode of the series, which isn't really that much of a challenge. I loved the parody elements to it, the way the episode seemed to have moments that were incredibly similar to Buffy The Vampire Slayer (not just the fact that Giles was in it, but more the pace and the feel of the episode) and the parody of old Dr. Who when the solution to the computer problem was SO incredibly simple that it was brilliant. Add to that the emotion of the reunion of Sarah-Jane and the Doctor, the emotion of the Doctor when he told Rose that he had to always move on, the emotion of K-9 (I was dreading his return but it was done as best as it could be) and the fact that finally, David Tennant has put in a performence that shows he is truely deserving of the role. Before, all he seemed good at was comedy, but he sucked me in with his absorbing performence during the more emotional scenes. Unfortunately, the only thing that lets it down, at least to me, was the fact that the bad guys wern't developed as much as they could be. This had all the potential to be a brilliant two part episode, and it probably should have been. Instead the show was about the development of the Doctor as a person, and his relationship to Rose. Did anyone else find it interesting that "Torchwood" had stopped Micky from getting the pictures he was after. Torchwood has been in existence since the Victorian days, and yet they've never had trouble getting what they were after. Is there more to come from Torchwood? I don't see much point of puting it in if it doesn't. Talking of Micky, I think that something VERY interesting might be about to take place with his character. The actor has been dropping in little hints here and there, and the fact that he felt undermined and that he wanted to travel with Rose and the Doctor as well. Interestign since he was adimently against it in the first place. Unfortunately, next weeks episode lookes a little crap. Having said that, the trailer for this weeks episode really didn't do the episode justice. The next one NEEDS to be good so that Dr. Who can have a bit of momentum going into the Cybermen episode. Edit:
  5. I love how Man U fans have reacted to this. It's vandalism, it's a pretty crappy crime but it happens. It's not like there's never been any other fans who have graffited or wrecked anything, and besides, Man U's got more than enough money to fix this up in no time at all. And anyway, why should all Liverpool fans take the blame for it? So a few drunken pillocks decided to vadalise the place a bit, it doesn't instantly mean that Liverpool fans are evil and the scrounge of the earth. Meh.
  6. From what I've heard from online reports it seems that Tito Ortiz was very lucky to get the decision. I do wonder whether the result would have been a draw or a Forrest win if it wasn't for Ortiz being the trainer for TUF. I mean, how weak would it have made the series look it Tito hadn't have beaten Forrest? Personally, if there's a rematch between the two I'm hoping that it comes at a time when Ortiz isn't involved AT ALL with the TUF product. Unless that happens there will always be speculation surrounding the bout and that's not good for the sport. Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching it over here in the UK. Sounds like a pretty decent show.
  7. Essentially I'd imagine it was about a specific event, i.e someone doing a religous symbol in a similar way to Jesus but with strong connections to the rest of the world at the same time. Since it's my belief that the Bible and all religion should not be taken literally and is a complete metaphore (I feel really strongly about that) I always imagine anything about religion to be both about that paticular story or moment and also comparing to other things which happen in this world. Urrgh. Booyah!
