  1. Hahah, now I'm just getting even more abuse. Awesome.
  2. Hahah (9:08:07 PM) Blake: Looks like you might be winning the title tonight (9:08:41 PM) Blake: jinx (9:08:42 PM) [suntoucher]: FOR FUCKS SAKE DUDE (9:08:49 PM) [suntoucher]: YOU DID THAT (9:08:50 PM) [suntoucher]: YOU CUNT
  3. Liverpool's title challenge is in serious danger - they're 1-0 down to Arsenal at half time. It's tough to see United dropping points in three games before the end of the season (especially because Liverpool would have to win the remainder for that to be enough.)
  4. He didn't really see him though, we don't know whether he was actually there or what the fuck was going on. We don't even know if they're sticking with the exploding heads. They seem to have changed the time travelling rules from 'the universe course-corrects' to 'you can't change what happened.' EDIT: Also, in the last episode Miles saw himself and was about 20-30 feet away from himself. We don't really know how close you have to be to activate the ability. How close were the rabbits? Within touching distance?
  5. I was guessing some kind of time travel was involved. Jacob's already an insubstantial being with magical powers and a cabin that moves spontaneously, it's not too much of a stretch to think that it's someone like Locke or Jack from much later in their life having travelled back.
  6. The money they'd make simply for being in the Premiership over the SPL would probably cover them getting to the group stages of the CL every year (which they don't do) and more. Would gates drop because they're losing to Everton or would they increase because they aren't playing St. Mirren any more? What are Newcastle's attendances like? Or Sunderland's? They keep figures high when they're losing, it's just when off-the-field stuff happens that they drop. Both Old Firm teams would be guaranteed sell outs for matches against all of the Big 4 and each other at a minimum. That's 10 games a season that absolutely won't be anything apart from a sellout regardless of league position. Their biggest problem would probably be the fact that there's a good chance they'd both be in danger of immediate relegation because their teams are so poor at the moment.
  7. Must focus the hatred on Jordan. The moaning, hypocritical, orange cunt.
  8. It was in the context of the meeting about making a PL1 and PL2, which Palace would probably be part of. The proposal's for 36 teams, so if the Old Firm were included it would be them, the 20 PL teams and the 14 Championship teams (though I don't know for sure they'd select the Championship teams on league position.) EDIT: I doubt Man United have £1.1bn lying around, but they're servicing that debt reasonably enough. I doubt he's suggesting that the Old Firm have to pay £100m up front.
  9. Surely the obvious answer with Jacob is that he's either Jack or Locke? I think Richard is at best third place in the obviousness stakes. EDIT: There was something I came across on lostpedia that surprised me a little bit and I don't know whether it's speculation or not (it probably is.) I've put this in spoiler tags even though it's nothing to do with future episodes, it's regarding who actually knows how the show will end and what the big mysteries are: Spoiler: Click here to viewSomething on the wiki said that Matthew Fox is the only actor who knows how the show concludes. Is this based on anything remotely credible?
  10. I dunno, but since the electromagnet whatever-it-is in The Swan is related to the time travel (started Desmond's visions) then there's a good chance if The Incident happens at the end of this season it could sort that out. I'm pretty confused about Daniel. He was in the camp, left and now he's coming back as a scientist from the mainland? Do they know he's the same person? I was thinking about the power structure of the Others yesterday, particularly the role of Richard. From looking on lostpedia, the prevailing idea seemed to be that he was the person responsible for selecting the leader, but that he wasn't able to contact Jacob. That might possibly have been contradicted last week when Richard made the decision to heal Ben to Widmore's objections - Richard said 'this is what Jacob wants' or similar. If Widmore, the leader, is the sole conduit to Jacob, how can Richard trump his leadership with Jacob's wishes? Very odd. I quite like the theory that Jacob is actually Richard of the future thanks to some time-travelling. They can't get close together because of the exploding brains theory of Daniel's rabbits, so Richard has to rely on someone he trusts to relay Jacob's future knowledge to him. Probably a nonsense because I'm not sure whether the exploding brains is going to be continued, but there we go, it's interesting.
  11. He's got Malouda playing pretty well, the man's a magician.
  12. Ancelotti hasn't even done at all well in Serie A. One Scudetto in 8 years? Not great for a club like Milan. The two CL titles are the reason they'd be hiring him. I absolutely love Hiddink, I think he's an incredible coach and a pretty likeable guy.
  13. They signed him to cover Essien and never really had enough other injuries in central midfield to need him. Or maybe Scolari was just giving one of his mates a last payday. The Brazilian posters on the FM board thought it was an absolutely baffling move, he's totally past it.
  14. Haha, Teedy Sheringham just referred to Vidic and Ferdinand as 'the twin towers.'
  15. Fuck, I didn't realise this was on TV because it's not on STV. I'll only be flicking to this during changeovers in the tennis, but still :/
  16. Incredibly late comment but how was Harper for the goal? I just saw the instant reply and it looked like it was a bit of a half-hearted save but Andy Gray said he did excellently (or something similar.)
  17. I despise Ronnie O'Sullivan and pray he goes out in the first round. Then Maguire can become world number one next year by winning the tournament. Hendry has been really, really shit this year and it's so depressing. Until the China Open I think he'd won something like 2 ranking matches this year (though that's probably a bit of an exaggeration )
  18. I don't really support English teams because they're English, but I like most of the Big 4 anyway. Of all of them I have a bias against United because I hate Ronaldo and detest Ferguson, but that's it. I was probably just about hoping for them to beat Porto simply because they're the better team and I like the better team going though, usually. An upset every now and then's nice and it's a bit disappointing that we're seeing an Arsenal/United semi that's something we see all the time, but there we go.
  19. Sounds like a good idea. There were definitely some flat episodes in the last series of Screenwipe. This series seems like it has much more longevity because he can still talk about whatever's topical once he's got over his general complaints. I'm guessing that once he runs out of things like 'Oh Dearism' there won't be quite as much content, so between this and Screenwipe topics it'll make a good show. EDIT: Really enjoyed this week's episode, particularly the bit with The Sting tugging himself off to the coverage of Obama's Beast
  20. Particularly when the leagues that can rival the Premiership (La Liga and Serie A) are in exactly the same boat. Still, the effect isn't non-existent - over a 5-10 year period we'll probably see the 4th placed Premiership team fail to get the group stages once or twice when then that's basically a once in a blue moon event at the moment. It'll be especially obvious if someone outside the Big 4 gets that 4th placed spot.
  21. It's already been changed, though. From next season the qualification path for the 4th placed team in England/Spain/Italy is much, much harder than it is at the moment. In the first round of the 'non-champions path,' these teams get drawn together randomly: Dynamo Moscow (Already qualified) Runners-up of Liga I (Romanian) Runners-up of Portuguese Liga Runners-up of Eredivisie Runners-up of Scottish Premier League Runners-up of Süper Lig (Turkish) Runners-up of Ukrainian Premier League Runners-up of Belgian First Division Playoff Group Winners of Super League (Greece) Runners-up of Gambrinus liga (Czech Republic) So, some pretty tough teams in there - the likes of Sporting/Benfica, Rangers/Celtic, Twente/Ajax, Besiktas and Shakhtar will probably be in there. And then those 5 winners get drawn against: 4th placed team of Premier League 4th placed team of La Liga (Spain) 4th placed team of Serie A 3rd placed team of Ligue 1(French) 3rd placed team of Bundesliga I don't even know if it's seeded in this round, I can't find out conclusively. If it is and the teams from the bigger leagues can't draw each other, they're still likely to be playing Sporting/Ajax/Shaktar to get into the group stages. If it isn't, it could be Arsenal vs. Valencia/Villarreal/Genoa/Fiorentina/Roma before we even get to the group stage.
  22. I don't know who that is. Is he an actual salmon?
  23. I miss the likes of UFC 1 & 2 in particular. Why can't we have weird looking guys trying to use kung fu any more?
  24. Villarreal are 2-0 down and just had a man sent off, conceding a penalty. Game over, most likely. EDIT: van Persie scores, 3-0.
