  1. Melee combat that's actually fun. Fallout shows that they're at least thinking about that area of the game - I hope they carry that over to this series. Oblivion got pretty boring very quickly when all you have to do is back off a bit, then run forward and time your swing with the moment you get into range, then retreat again.

  2. Quite frankly, I find it absolutely ridiculous to get rid of Allardyce in the first place. He's not the "flamboyant" manager people seem to want these days, but he gets the job done. Now you can't even do that to keep a job in football these days. What does a guy have to do?

They sacked him because they don't want to spend any money on Allardyce players in January. He's not in their long-term plans, so if they give him another transfer window the club will become even more moulded in his image with his style of players. The fact that they've said the decision on a new manager might take months is an interesting one. Maybe they're pretty happy with having a managerless club over the transfer window so they can just sign their own players without worrying about over-ruling a manager?

  3. Maybe people have forgotten you didn't know you were a protector, so they're laughing that you protected scum. You didn't do anything wrong. Until you know what you do, you're better off targeting the players you find scummy. The majority of your abilities (all the investigative powers and the vig) are better used on scum, not town.

  4. What is the 'director' role? Since it was mentioned in the Waiting List thread.

I'm trying to expand my knowledge of role types in order to get more ideas, you see.

It's a sort of individual-aligned mayor role. In Sousa's Duelists game RW had a long list of objectives to complete and a serious arsenal of abilities to try and get it done. The town and mafia could choose to deal with him or not. I used a similar role in When Reality TV Attacks - Josh's Jew Producer. It's had mixed success, I think. The important part seems to be preserving some normal game of town vs. mafia without making it a game centred around one player.

  5. I like that "store" can be a noun and a verb. I am going to "store" the game I "bought" from the "store" in my desk. Only, the first "store" doesn't require the quotes, because I really am going to store it there.

    Hilariously off-topic interlude

"My [word] is [word] than me."

Same word in both places. Which word?
