  1. Slogger, I think you forgot to mention the most successful NZ football player ever. I'll give you a clue, he captains Blackburn... (Y) Just something I want to say: First off, Daniel is over rated. Sure hes Brazillian but that doesn't automatically make him first 11 material, even if it is a NZ team. Herbert is killing us by not starting Felipe. The only times we dominated both games were in the closing 10 minutes, and this is around the time Felipe has been brought on. Super sub, mybe. but if he played a full 90 minutes, the impact he would have would be great.
  2. I do get the feeling that half the people disagreeing with this decision are just jumping on the bandwagon. England need to bring Scholes back instead of Heskey. I mean, Scholes is still one of United's best players at the moment. Or Smith, he does wonder's for me on Football Manager.
  3. Gve it 5-10 years and NZ will be a much more formidable nation in terms of football. Plus, this thread can be closed. I searched "A-League" but it just came up with a Board Message. Oh and Pattitude, you're an idiot.
  4. Am I the only one who thinks Tevez has been utter shit for the games hes played in this season. Now that Saha is hopefully back at 100%, I'm hoping Tevez sees more of the bench. He just doesn't do anything and to think Sir Alex wanted to give him nani's goal is beyond me. Hargreaves had another great game and Saha really played quite well considering it was his first game back in about 6 months.
  5. Well there goes that theory We need Steven Old (who use to go to my school) in Right Back. O'Dor stinks. See what I did there?
  6. I can't believe there isn't already a thread for this but hey, there's one now. Wellington Pheonix to play Central Coast in about 10 minutes. I'm going for a 2-1 to Pheonix. Now all the Australians get in here and discuss/ argue with the only NZer here.
  7. Yeah, I wasn't sure how big to make them. Got any suggestions?
  8. OK, I'm planning on doing a World Cup 2010 diary in the near future, and at the moment, I am doing the kits of the teams involved. So as I make each teams strip, I will post them here for feedback. Feedback, please. England Home - England Away - England Third Brazil Home - Brazil Away
  9. Have you seriously posted 126 diaries?

  10. The Todd is easily the best supporting character on Scrubs. Although he only appears for a max of like a minute at the time, he's just so good. "Oh yeah and Carla, there was something else I wanted to say to you... ah... um... thats it! Great vagina"
  11. David Beckham: My Side. 'Nuff said
  12. Spoiler: Click here to viewlol, harry potter
  13. If I double post one more time, I think I'm going to scream
  14. Razor, Boston Legal is easily the best programme ever invented. On par with Scrubs which of course, is unbeatable. Prison Break is also a fucking great, underated show. Just watched the first season on DVD because I missed the first 15 or so episodes when it was on TV because it didn't interest me. But now I've watched both seasons one and two, I can't get enough of it. Grey's Anatomy also rules and Nip/Tuck is easily the most underated show in the history of television. So far, these are the TV shows I have on DVD. Boston Legal (Seasons 1, 2) Scrubs (Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4) Prison Break (Season 1, eagerly anticipating season 2) Any other shows that are easy to watch a whole season of, and are worth the money?
  15. Even though i use to dislike you... 5 stars

  16. Woah you must be really pissed off with me, atm. First the Crespo sitch now this. tbh, I had totally forgotten about this. I haven't visited this forum for quite some time. I'll do somehing tommorow but might I say, I love your graphic
  17. The A-League defines the word hopeless. I cringe sometimes when i watch the Knights play. I would go as far to say I would rather watch New Zealnd's league then the A-League...
  18. David Villa you bastard. I don't get it. This guy came to Man U and was playing so well but for the past few games, he has been playing like shit. He was leading the goalscoring in the premiership after 15 games but now is nowhere near the top (Alan Smith is coming 3rd though and he has missed about 5 or so games.) Anyway, the reason Villa is a bastard is this: I get drawn in the third round of the FA Cup against none other than Chelsea which obviously sucks. Fast forward to half time of said game, we are down 2-0 and really needing a boost. The second half was amazing and we really dominated (after the game, we were refered to as the dominant team) and Ryan Giggs scores a great free kick in about the 75th minute. So it's 2-1 and we are relentless attacking, until Chelsea get a corner in the 88th minute. All of a sudden theres a scuffle and David Villa gets sent off as Joe Cole scores a penaly kick, sealing the game for Chelsea that I really believed we could have turned around. So later on I get a message saying that the disciplinairy commitee has decided that David Villa will be banned for 6 English matches so i go to check the match report of said game and it turns out he headbutted John Terry. Headbutted. That's so 2006 World Cup. Ergo, he was punished with a loss of 2 weeks wages. He thought it was unfair, well fuck him. Fuck him right in the ear. Anyway, to create a discussion, how do you guys watch your games? Key, Extended or Full match. Myself, if I am losing by around two and there is 20 or so minutes to go, I watch it in full because I feel if you use 'Key' it skips a lot of your chances to score and whatnot. But usually, I use extended.
  19. Entered. Team name: CF Simpson Man I'm bad at budgeting
  20. I just qualified for the 2010 World Cup with New Zealnd, and this is the proudest achievement of my Football Managing life. I have to face Fiji in the prelims which is a pece of cake, win the first game 3-0 and the second 7-0. Then in the biggie, I take on China in a two legged match. The first match I win 1-0 in a game they shoud have really won but my goalkeeper had a blinder. the scond game, they are winning 1-0 at the end of the game so we go to extra time and in the 107 min, my AM Chris James scores a beauty from just outside the box. Fuck yeah. P.S. I'd really like to get in on an online game but I wouldn't want to do that whole Hamatchi and I only have 7.0. So if your interested and know how the whole online sitch works then reply here or send me a PM. Cheers
  21. I'll face you Dave. I don't have a clue how online works or what you do but there's a first time for everything, right? Anyone want to explain it to me?
  22. How good does it feel to win a tournament, even if it was the most piss easy tournament in the game I am doing a career managing New Zealand and it's a lot of fun. I'm in August of 2008 and so far I have played 12 games, winning 6, losing 3 and drawing 3. Is 12 games in 2 years bad for a national team? it's just so hard to get friendlies... Anyway, I won the Oceania Nations Cup, facing teams like Tahiti (I won 10-0) and Fiji who I played in the final. In the first leg, we dominated but simply oculdn't score, ending with a 0-0 draw. But in the second leg, we found a second wind and won 4-1 and took home the trophy. The only thing I don't get, is my players always play fucking awesome against shite teams, and shit against fucking awesome teams. Like against Tahiti, all of my players had a 9 or 10 match rating but when i play teams like Mexico (4-1 loss) every one has a 5 or 6 or 7 rating. They really need to get their As into G because in one week we have 2 games against Cameroon, in Cameroon then the following month a home match against fierce rivals, Aussie. Should be a lot of fun. My main aim is to qualify for the 2010 world cup. In other news, I just thought this was interesting... Serbia won Euro 2008, beating England 5-4 on penalties. All the managers from the top nations were sacked besides England. (i.e) France, Italy, Spain etc. due to poor performances at the tourny
