  1. Hey everyone. Enclosed is a package of 72 logo, 109 event, and 15 TV images for TEW that I've been making for a few hours now. I put them all together because I'm tired of seeing a bunch of different backgrounds and low quality images when I do play. Every image in this set is on the kyky background with an overlapping border and a subtle, eye-pleasing drop shadow around each cut. In short: everything matches, because I made it all myself and I'm really anal retentive. I intend to expand the set in time, adding more images to the existing sections and branching out into images for people, television networks, etc. The longterm goal is to have a completely uniform set of images for everything in TEW. Anyways, here are some (low res--they look much better in full size!) preview images of everything in the set so far: LOGOS (72) You'll notice a decent enough selection, covering most of your basic stuff as well as a few fun selections like the mythical new WWE logo that never saw the light of day, some nWo stuff, and, of course, WDW and NPW of EWR fame. It's not exhaustive, but it's a good enough jumping off point. For the record, the diagonal logos are as such because there just isn't enough screen real estate in a 150x150px space to do them justice without maximizing your space. EVENTS (109) There's a lot of stuff here. For starters, TNA has images for its entire calendar of events, all of which--except that pesky Destination X graphic that would've taken way too much time to edit--feature the newer version of the TNA logo. I included both Hard and Hardcore (ugh) Justice logos, as well as an edited version of the Victory Road logo that will make a bit more sense if you're not playing in 2011. Not much to say, really. WCW, on the other hand, is a mishmash of official logos, edited logos, and completely custom creations. I made sure to include an image for each payperview featuring both the classic logo and the later logo, even for events like Mayhem that occurred only before or after the logo change. I also made sure to choose image quality over accuracy, to some extent: for example, both Starrcade images are the same, aside from the WCW logos. The Halloween Havoc, World War 3, and Mayhem logos are the same way. The Superbrawl logos, on the other hand, were made from scratch--there just weren't any high quality images to use. It's not entirely historically accurate, but the visual quality makes up for it. WWE is, well, WWE. It's just a mismatch of everything I remembered to throw in there. It's not exhaustive by any means, but I like what I've got so far. The WrestleMania logos were especially fun to throw together. TV (15) Not much here for now, but it's a start. I just wanted to go ahead and throw what I've got into the pack. I'll put a lot more work into this section for the next release. CLICK HERE TO DOWNOAD (VIA MEDIAFIRE)
  2. I'm picking up my copy on the way home from college tomorrow. Really excited about this. I'm sure there probably aren't (m)any uploaded yet, but does anyone have any idea if you can edit downloaded CAWs this year? Editing the actual model doesn't matter to me that much; I just want to be able to edit the profile and, particularly, the entrance music. I don't think you could last year.
  3. I'm fairly certain you're correct. 2007 had GM mode. In other news, I don't think I've ever been more excited for a Smackdown game. I feel like this one will be the best one ever, as far as actual game play goes. Physics, directional grapples, natural looking reversals, more interactive Chamber/Cell matches--it all sounds like such a leap forward. Throw in the huge roster, wonderful selection of legends, (theoretically) awesome WWE Universe mode, interesting RTWM character choices, and other bells-and-whistles on top of it all like the Nitro arena and Los Conquistadors attires for Edge and Christian, and I feel like this game is going to be the best Smackdown yet by a large margin. I'm pumped.
  4. I just saw it there this morning. Look at the add-ons and there should be a category for SvsR 2011 I just checked again. That's Online Axxess, which comes with the game. I'm trying to find the Fan Axxess pack, which gives you all of the upcoming DLC for $10. I'm assuming it's not available yet, but I saw someone say it was out on Xbox Live. I assumed it was just somebody confusing the two packs, given their aggravatingly similar titles, but I figured it would be good to ask.
  5. So how do we get Fan Axxess? It doesn't seem to be on PSN and I'd like to buy it before I'm broke.
  6. Fucking brilliant...been waiting to have an excuse to post this; I love you so fucking much for posting this.
  7. Kevin Devine is great when I'm feeling down about something. He may have the best voice I've ever heard. Sunny Day Real Estate is another good candidate for those sorts of moods.
  8. Take a look at the way WordPress templates work. They use PHP includes to split the content of a page into several different files (header.php, sidebar.php, footer.php, etc.), then call them together on each individual page of a website. This way, anything changed in, say, header.php, will be changed globally. You can structure your entire layout using PHP includes, to make future upgrades as painless as possible. Here's a very basic guide to PHP includes.
  9. Or just get the hell off Windows XP. That problem is solved in Vista, and all problems are solved in 7.
  10. Try this website. At the very least, you'll probably find a font that's similar.
  11. It's very good. I think your design fits the subject matter very well. Here are some quick thoughts: The cursive at the top is a bit hard to read. Maybe widen the spacing between each letter or pick a different cursive font? The black border around the picture of the truck makes your navigation bar at the top look like it sticks out too far on one side. I would also either get rid of or increase the size of the transparent gap between the top of the image and the nav bar.You might want to style the "Hours of Operation" section a bit, to better separate it from the main content. Maybe give it some kind of border or background, or at least style the text at the top a bit.
  12. You can keep Pokerus going indefinitely. First off the effects of Pokerus never go away even if the disease does and they're no longer able to infect other Pokemon. Beyond that, as long as you always keep at least one Pokemon that is infected and able to transmit then you can keep spreading it to other Pokemon as long as you want. Incorrect. The increased EV gains only apply while the purple Pokerus status is on your Pokemon. Once that changes to the small face, those effects cease. http://bulbapedia.bu...aving_the_virus "Once a Pokémon's immune system has fought off the virus, they cannot spread it further, nor can it be spread to them by other Pokémon. In Generations II and III, a dot will appear on the Pokémon's status screen to indicate that they have had the virus previously, while in Generation IV, it will be a small smiley face. Though the virus is gone, its positive effects will remain, most specifically the ability for that Pokémon to gain double EVs."
  13. You should probably set Jim Cornette and Vince Russo's relationship to Hatred. Also, maybe lower Cornette's relationship with Bischoff to Strong Dislike? Their problems are obviously nowhere near as intense. Give Cornette some sort of negative relationship with Terry Taylor, too. This is all concerning their recent incident, of course.
  14. The first high quality screen shots from Pokémon Black and White were released today. You may notice that this game looks, uh... kinda different. I love it, personally. I've been wanting a three dimensional Pokémon title for ages. I wonder what the first game on the 3DS will look like?
  15. Okada was also heeling it up like crazy at a house show I went to, last week. For now, yeah, make him heel. He's pretty good at it, too.
  16. Blacula, They Call Her One Eye, and The Sinful Dwarf are a few obvious ones. They're all fun watches. (Y) Also, you should definitely check out The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane. It's sleazy, but unlike a lot of exploitation flicks, it's a legitimately "good" film. It's also notable for starring a ridiculously young Jodie Foster, who later disowned the flick for its content and her treatment on set. She's really good in it, though. It's one of my favorite films, in any genre. I would also really recommend The Manson Family. It's a really weird flick, shot over the course of two decades due to budget problems. The ever-changing ages of the actors involved is hard to get used to, but the movie does a great job of making you feel like you're literally there. The Manson Family is such a mind fuck, but it's definitely my favorite Manson movie.
  17. So, does letting a Pokemon walk with you in HGSS make it happier? How about talking to it?
  18. You may want to update Shawn Michaels' favored roles. With the current settings, the CPU is still booking him as a regular wrestler. By all accounts--at least for the foreseeable future--he's done. I would set Wrestler to never, and then set him up to be an Authority Figure primarily and a Semi-Active Wrestler sometimes, as those are the most realistic potential roles for him. Also, is Sabu's overness unrealistically low? I tried signing him to TNA, and the game's saying he should be an Opener. I'd say that's a bit low. Raven's seems low, too.
  19. I've only ever caught two shinies: a Rattata on Gold and a Machoke on Diamond. I have terrible luck. I managed to load that Machoke off for a shiny Charmander, though. Good black Charizard is good.
  20. I love you, man. Thanks for keeping this up. Is my system just having a good day, or does this database load new games a lot faster than the last few? It certainly seemed to, for me.
  21. I take it they've yet to release any pics or concept art? I'm definitely on board with this. My Nintendo DS is my favorite system.
  22. I've been tinkering with a TNA game, and TEW seems to think Stevie Richards should be in the main event. He's also significantly more popular than, say, guys like Scott Hall and Syxx-Pac, which just isn't accurate. For the most part the TNA roster looks okay, but those three workers stick out. I'd say Stevie's popularity should be lowered substantially, while both Hall and Waltman's should be bumped up a bit. That being said, though, thanks for another good update, guys. I'm really looking forward to seeing March's effort. =]
  23. This. This is probably going to be the best game in this niche. I'm looking into it now. Thank you, sir. I would pay for that. I would absolutely pay money for that. Perfect example of what I'm looking for, actually, but the stylus controls are terrible. I'm not sure why they didn't just stick with the engine from Harvest Moon DS or Rune Factory. =[ I'm surprised we don't actually have a thread like that already. We should get one going. Also, I was actually playing Oregon Trail this morning. I'm gonna give the second one a shot in a few minutes. They sound like exactly what I'm looking for, and the MDickie on cocaine graphics can only really make them better.
