  1. What are the 360 launch titles? Is PES not one for either console?
  2. It was a boring game, hardly any chances at all. Two terrible games today, Bolton/Everton was bad enough, then our game was just as bad. And I really think that Ljungberg getting injured was a turning point, I thought he was going to be the key today with his runs but he didn't last. One more thing, Pires is fucking shit. I hate it when he plays him over Reyes sometimes because he never ever tracks back, and if he does, he either does it too late or very slowly. He just doesn't seem to have the legs anymore. When Reyes plays he is always rushing back to help the fullback. And on the subject of fullbacks, Lauren does my fucking head in too, his positioning is unbelivably bad, there was one chance when he was totally ball watching and left Robben I think in acres of space, something he always does just like the Utd game at Highbury last season.
  3. But it is the fact that he has the nerve to go over and have a go back when it was lucky, and he miscontrolled the bloody ball. It just proves what the bloke was saying really.
  4. Fucking hell. I don't think anyone deserved to win that game tbh, should have been 0-0. Drogba was real classy btw having a go at that fan and then trying to find him when he scored, real classy that. Yeh, and Hleb looks class.
  5. Helping the game? Not really. Because any team will be outbid. As Wenger said, a market for Chelski and a market for everyone else. Example, Manchester City, would probably have sold SWP for around £10-14m but they wait for Chelsea to bid, hold out for £20m and get it. It isn't helping at all really just throwing tainted money around.
  6. You won't be able to prove to anyone that you need a computer console anymore. Playing games leads to going on murderous rampages.
  7. Michael Essien has joined Chelski for £24.4m. Even Essien himself has said he is overpriced. He has the number 5 shirt.
  8. Christian Abbiati has joined Juventus on loan from AC Milan. That is great sportsmanship on Milan's behalf to let Juventus have him whilst Buffon is out injured, it really is.
  9. So, what is different about the two different packages? Meh, £280 doesn't sound too bad, I'm getting it, don't care about the cost, it is going to be fucking brilliant.
  10. Jesus, the defending is fucking awful. Carragher is shit, Johnson is shit, Ferdinand is shit and Cashley is shit.
  11. Anyone watching? I forgot it was on, just checked the score, 0-0. England friendlies are always fucking shit, I'm going to watch France/Ivory Coast, that should be great.
  12. I doubt Kanoute will join Newcastle. Sevilla will be offering him European football, Newcastle won't. But we will see.
  13. Cricket 2005 is way better imo, more realistic and more of a challenge. Only thing Brian Lara has which is better than Cricket 05 is the Hawk-Eye replays.
  14. Oh, fuck yes. I'll be getting me that. Will be much faster running than on my PC. I might not even buy it on the PC, just wait for the 360 version.
  15. I was at that game, that fucking sucked. First home game I saw us lose. Iirc, Sherwood and Wilcox scored the other goals didn't they?
  16. I know, but Gallas has been linked heavily with other clubs for about 3 years or so, if Abramovich didn't come along, he wouldn't have as good chance of winning trophies as he does now, I think he would have moved on. And yeh, we were planning to buy Cech in like 2000 or 2001 I think, but he didn't get a work permit, he went to Rennes and Wenger wanted to buy him in the summer of 2003, when we got Lehmann, but Chelsea had already agreed a deal in February I think, the bastards. We could have had him.
  17. I've been to a few away games. Ewood Park, Molineux (which I think is awesome by the way), Villa Park, The Valley, Carrow Road, Goodison Park, Loftus Road, Schalke Arena (I think that is what it's called), Amsterdam ArenA, Dortmund's ground (Can't remember the name). Worst of all was Old Trafford, I was young so the coach journey up there seemed an eternity, finally get there, excited and we lose 1-0 because Nigel Winterburn scored an own goal with his shoulder. The Dortmund one was pretty bad too seeing as we lost 2-1 because of that cunt Koller. But then again, it wasn't just a there and back kind of trip, so it wasn't too bad.
  18. I saw this topic on OTF and thought it was interesting. Who do you all think Chelsea's signings since Abramovich would have ended up? Going through their team: Petr Cech - Probably be at Arsenal, or still be with Rennes. Wayne Bridge - Probably still at Soton or maybe Liverpool, I believe they were linked with him before. Ricardo Carvalho - Real Madrid I would say. Asier Del Horno - Bilbao. Paolo Ferreira - Wherever Mourinho would be. William Gallas - A Spanish side, Valencia or Barcelona. Glen Johnson - Tottenham or Newcastle. Joe Cole - Maybe Tottenham, maybe even Man Utd. Damien Duff - Still at Blackburn, or at Anfield. Geremi - Middlesbrough. Jiri Jarosik - CSKA. Tiago - Benfica, Porto, Lisbon or a Premiership side. Arjen Robben - Man Utd. Shaun Wright-Phillips - Citeh. Claude Makelele - Milan, Inter or another top Serie A side. Didier Drogba - Marseille or Juventus. Hernan Crespo - Inter Milan or AC. Mateja Kezman - Tottenham, Aston Villa, Man City or some Prem side similar. Quite interesting to think. I also remember us lining up a swoop for John Terry about half a year before Abramovich came along because Terry was unhappy with his contract.
  19. I don't believe that result, I really don't. was watching it, and cheering Wigan on like mad at the end, then Crespo scored that absolute peach and I just screamed 'Noooooooo'. That was fucking brilliant stuff though, but wish it went the other way. So near, yet so far. And that is a weird thing, when Crespo lined it up, you just know that it is not going anywhere else other than the top corner, it was never going to go wide, or over, it would always find the top corner. Football is strange and harsh sometimes.
  20. Shit, I don't remember my log in details, and I can't find the email they sent.
  21. Good win. Still worried by our no plan B situation but still, if we have the patience we can score. Jenas' red was 50-50 in my book, could have been red or yellow. There is a new rule for referee's to cut those kind of lunges out of the game this season by showing reds. But he could have easily broken Gilberto's ankle. Robin van Persie =
  22. So, how awesome are those 'Highbury 1913-2006' marks in the grass?
  23. Aston Villa 2 - 2 Bolton L K Phillips 4 K Davies 6 I Campo 8 S Davis 9 Wow.
  24. On a side note, whatever happened to that John Mikel Obi guy Chelski and Man U were fighting about? ← Nigerian teenager John Obi Mikel has been told to return to Norway to fulfil his contract duties with Lyn Oslo. Fifa have been investigating the complex situation of Mikel, after Manchester United announced a deal for the midfielder in April. The Red Devils signed contracts with both Lyn and Mikel for the 18-year-old to move to Old Trafford in the New Year. Almost immediately after the transfer was announced, Mikel headed out of Norway, claiming he was bullied into signing for United. He then stressed a desire to join Chelsea, which prompted Lyn to lodge a complaint to Fifa against the Premiership champions and agents John Shittu and Rune Hauge. Football's governing body have now completed their probe into the issue and have ordered Mikel to return to Lyn. "By not resuming duties with his club after having represented his Under-20 national team in the Fifa World Youth Championship, John Obi Mikel has failed to perform his contractual obligations and, therefore, has committed contractual breach," read a statement on behalf of Fifa's Dispute Resolution Chamber. "It has also been noted that John Obi Mikel has been duly granted the visa and work permit required. "It has, therefore, been decided that John Obi Mikel must immediately resume duties with Lyn Oslo FC in accordance with the employment contract concluded on April 22, 2005. "Should the player fail to return to his club in Norway, the case will be submitted to the next meeting of the Chamber in order for it to take the appropriate action." Though Mikel has been ordered to link up with Lyn again, it is still unclear whether he will be joining United in January as had previously been arranged.
