Well, I have heard that since his shoulder injury, he sucks. But we will have to wait and see. We signed Song on a year loan, not a bad signing, he looked good in pre-season. Viera apparently failed a medical but the club has refused to comment, some people have said that they have been told by their sources that he had a bad cold which is why he failed, and we have another medical planned on Friday for him. Another story is that he turned up to the training ground and the staff found that he was a tiny bit taller than Ashley Cole. Not sure what to believe, I'm hoping the illness story is true, guess we will find out at the weekend.

I started a new game with Arsenal. Lost the charity shield to Chelski 3-0, then lost my first Prem game away at Newcastle, 6-0. So I quit and deleted it. I'm a bad loser.

But this is why signing Baptista would have been so good, we could have launched it to him, or he could have just steamrolled his way through the defence. Overall, I was happy with the peformance, except Senderos looked a tad dodgy. And why does Drogba always have to roll around like he has been shot at least once a game. I was amazed when Gilberto did that skill, I thought it was Henry, then realised it was Gilberto and went "Wait a minute, that wasn't Gilberto, surely?". It was great.

Do Liverpool fans actually rate Neil Mellor highly? I know he scored that goal against us but he really hasn't ever impressed me. He is very slow and seems very lazy when I watch him play. You should just flog him in my opinion. He doesn't look Premiership quality.

I still think Reyes needs to prove something this year, we all know what he can do as he did it for us in the first 7 or 8 games of last season and for Sevilla previously. Now he is contracted until 2011, so he needs to start showing he can handle it in England. The thing that worries me sometimes is that if he isn't playing brilliant, he is playing shit. He can't seem to just have a good game week after week, always brilliant one game and then non existent the next and it is quite frustrating. Pires was shocking in central midfield, he has zero presence when he plays there. Looks like the German fans were right about Hleb, he does like to run with the ball for too long for a long time, he will need to cut down on that a bit I think, but he does look quality. Bit annoyed that Bentley didn't play well, I really want him to prove himself, I don't want another young English player walking out. He has the potential for sure, he just needs to fill it soon. According to several sources, we have signed Viera , that goalkeeper. I am excited if it is true, people say he is in the Casillas mould, very agile, and can make amazing saves. Wenger wants to sign Viera, the Urugray number 1. I hope he does, I have heard that he is very good, and he is only 22 so maybe he can be a long term goalkeeper for us. And he also ruled us out of the running for Owen, saying we don't need a striker, which makes me think that he wanted Baptista to replace Vieira. But never mind.
