So, I've been reading through HF boards because It's snowing and I'm avoiding as much work as possible, but one of the threads there involved the Rangers and Leafs. Okay, I was interested to see the proposal which involved Girardi and Callahan going to the leafs, pending contract negotiations. I actually think the leafs could use both of these players. Callahan hasn't been too impressive this years, especially with this injuries, but he does play a style that the leafs could really use against the tougher teams that control the puck in their end. Girardi has been playing much better after having a bad first 10 games - that could be contributed to the coaching change and the new system. Anyway, of course the conversation got out of control. The Rangers are looking for a top LW, and a replacement on D - so naturally somebody said we'd want JVR as nobody else can fill that role. (Now don't get me wrong, 2 UFA's don't hold that value, but any GM trading pieces away is looking to fill current holes). This lead to pages about starting with McDonagh if you want JVR, and the other side arguing that McDonagh holds more value than JVR. So, for the leaf fans, would you trade JVR for Ryan McDonagh? Or is McDonagh overrated?

Coveted mission. Takes about 5 minutes max with a friend, on hard. Good Rep, 12k Payout. You can host it yourself and play it over and over. Just need to not crash the cargobob at the end. We pretty much did it 5-6 times as soon as we sign on, and then again 5-6 times when we end our session. Usually by 2 hours of this, missions, and screwing around, we'd make around 150k profit.

I had around 2.3 Million before being gifted money. I didn't really spend much of the gifted money, so being out 2 million kind of sucks, especially because of the idiots who are responsible for this. I do have my Adder I can sell for 700k, so I should be alright when it comes to Ammo purchases. Filling up your grenade launcher is like 20k, right?

So GTA did some maintenance. I'm left with 50k on the website. Which is kind of ridiculous because even without being gifted money, I had much more than that...

I think both teams could've gotten a little more. LA could have gotten at least a second rounder in my opinion. While it might not seem like a big deal going from a 3rd to 2nd on paper, it's actually a pretty big deal when looking at the draft list. Oilers probably could've gotten more as well. Being UFA's that played a huge role. If Neither re-signs with their teams I guess it's a complete wash anyway.

This is where we differ and while I respect your opinion, you really need to be following the Leafs in-depth to understand this. Carlyle is the reason we no longer have Mikhail Grabovski and he is the reason we no longer have Clarke MacArthur. That's damage enough - we lost a 50-60 point centre and a 20-goal, 50-60 point winger for no assets at all because Carlyle didn't think they fit. The one thing we did get back for them was cap space, and that was pissed away on David Clarkson, a player whose signing reeks of Carlyle. From the sounds of it, Nazem Kadri and Jake Gardiner are being shopped around and, apparently, that's down to Carlyle as well. Nazem fucking Kadri and Jake fucking Gardiner are young and have stupid amounts of potential, but because they apparently don't jibe with what Carlyle wants, they could be out as well. Carlyle plays Colton Orr and Frazer MacLaren, two men who are bad, bad hockey players and not even much good at their alleged role in the roster. To make that happen, he scratches Peter Holland, a guy with more upside than Orr and McLaren have literally ever had. He plays Mark Fraser and scratches Morgan Rielly for no good reason. He appears to be in the process of ensuring Nikolai Kulemin follows Grabovski and MacArthur out of the door, and that makes me incredibly sad because I remember how fucking good the three of them were together. You know why? Because it was only THREE FUCKING YEARS AGO. I don't want to make it sound like PPP is some kind of deified place for Maple Leaf fans, because there is certainly an element of groupthink and petty arguments there, but I do think you should read a few of the comment threads before commenting on Carlyle, particularly if they come after losses but even if they come after victories. The criticism of Carlyle is not solely motivated by emotions, it's backed up by fact, a lot of fact and more and more fact every single game - hell, every single day that passes. Start here and keep reading. If you want something better-argued about why Carlyle is awful, ask in one of those threads and you'll get your answer. I didn't start this meaning to get so worked up and please don't think I'm attacking you for it. I'm just so frustrated and so fucking angry at how badly this team is being run. I said in that thread I linked that I know I couldn't do Carlyle's job, but every bad decision that comes, every day Carlyle is allowed to keep Orr and MacLaren in the lineup despite the obvious fact that they CANNOT DO THEIR FUCKING JOBS, I get a little more sure I could do Nonis'. Apparently, on New Year's, I compared following the Leafs to herpes (because once they're in your system you can't get them out) but, possibly more accurately, to an abusive relationship. They treat me (as a proxy for fans worldwide) so badly and yet I can't leave, because I still love them. Sometimes I wish I could stop following them, but I can't. ...well, that went to an interesting place. The majority of leaf fans criticized MacArthur for being soft, and being a product of the leaf players around him making him look like a star. Now he's gone and it's Carlye fault he's actually producing better than on the leafs? MacLaren needs to be send back to playing a role he can, which is limted 4th line minutes where he can be effective and play a forecheck game. Grabo wasn't producing and it was basically coming down to keep him either him or Bozo. Again, most people were not that upset with him leaving. However, I agree that Caryle has been making dumb decisions. They had a hot start, but if they don't fix the problem it's going to be a tough journey to make playoffs. "Nazem fucking Kadri" was your most invisible player during the winter classics. He's got talent, but he's too inconstant and this isn't the first time he's had a problem with a coach. I think they realize he's unlikely to be anything more than a #2C at best.

Any truth to the rumor that Flyers turned down JVR for Yandle, right before dealing JVR to the leafs for Schenn? If so, what were they thinking?

Ranger looked like your best D-man during the winter classic. Detroit was the better team, but Bernier was the best player on the Ice. Kadri looked like the worst player on the ice. What happened to his confidence?

Actually it's way fun. The game is fun. I can have a great time. It's fun for a little while, but having all that money and being able to do anything you want kinda' ruins all the excitement of being able to buy something new once you saved your money.

You basically change the host file that's pinging Rockstars sever. . They have pre-moded ones called God server. Basically, robbing a store gives you a billion dollars. And a full rank every time you get away from the cops. You can also changed the RP multiplier. Once you host it, you can invite people in. Or, you can change your PS3 internet settings to join the server by changing the DNS server. There's also glitching on bounty's. So, people are making millions off people using the robbery function, and then doing a glitch bounty on people so others can collect it - this is also done to get rid of some of your money and get off Rockstars radar. Collecting a millions off a bounty is just as cheap as collecting money by robbing a store, or being given the money while in a session. I would give my money back if I could. It's not as fun when I can buy any car and just do a full mod on the spot, or buy anything I want - Tanks and Buzzards.

Somebody gave me 84 million last night. My other friend has close to a billion as this point. Joining sessions has really been shit lately.

I don't think so. I could be wrong, but I've only gotten wins by actual wins against somebody. Thus, only unlocking mods when I get wins.

It's more the act of being reckless and pulling somebody down like that to punch them in the face. Personally, I'm thinking Neal should've gotten 15 with Thornton getting 20ish.
