  1. I wanted Belgium to win. I wanted a new winner. Looks like France are champions again.
  2. Three Lions '98 mentions Southgate, so it's a good fit.
  3. Just one win away from being runners-up now.
  4. English fans are still going on about the World Wars. When you only have fleeting success, you tend to talk about little else.
  5. That would only happen if England won it again within a period spanning fewer than 52 years. Catch-22.
  6. I've seen him win the Golden Boot more than once on Football Manager. Business has picked up.
  7. I'm surprised how poor Sweden have been so far. They're not a team of world-beaters, but they've looked more difficult to break down in their earlier matches.
  8. Well, they're the only country outside Europe to ever win it on European soil.
  9. Belgium/France is like a Champions League Final, whereas the other semi-final will be like a Europa League Final.
  10. I never played the original Spyro games, aside from the demo of the first one. With that said, this isn't a must-buy for me, but I'll listen out for the general reaction after it releases. Unlike Crash Bandicoot, I don't have the original games as a point of reference, so I'd probably be a lot more critical of how Spyro holds up to the standards of current games.
  11. A lot of those thoughts are familiar to me. I haven't listened to a new album in about ten years. I'm sure there's probably plenty of new music I'd like, but I think I've just retreated into familiarity because I wouldn't know where to start. To a lesser extent, I've found myself taking a similar attitude to television. While I do watch a couple of new shows, I'm much more likely to spend the last twenty minutes or so of the day watching an episode of an old comedy I've seen many times before. Perhaps it's just easier to resort to something that's comfortable and requires no additional thought.
  12. Alternative footage of the ITV studio.
  13. An exciting end for a pretty dull match, really.
  14. Seriously, the concept of watching England in a shoot-out and knowing that they'll play again in a few days is downright foreign. I know we're ignoring Spain in 1996, but that seems like ancient history.
  15. Just the greatest upset in sporting history.
  16. Don't underestimate South Carolina's influence on the World Cup.
  17. They could just make a pact and emulate 2006 by having almost everyone miss so that no individual carries the burden of being a scapegoat.
  18. The script's set. We've got a couple of dubious "We was robbed" moments and an inevitable penalty shoot-out defeat. England are back.
  19. Southgate himself should take a penalty. It's redemption 22 years in the making. EDIT: Beaten to the punch.
  20. It's an ironic name, apparently.
