  1. Parker vs. White sounds like a great match, judging by the radio commentary.
  2. CTR wouldn't totally surprise me. Crash Bash, on the other hand, seems very unlikely. They never even released the original version on PSN. Something I only recently found out was that you could actually access every level in Crash Bash by entering a cheat code in the demo. It even worked with the demo version that came with Spyro 3, thanks to the developers forgetting to get rid of the code (which was likely used as a debug mode). It was only found several years after the game's release, so it wouldn't have affected game sales, but it does rank as one of the most interesting clangers a developer has dropped.

    WWE 2K19

2K has been a particularly bad offender in this regard. It's good to see that there's been a pushback among consumers, and this has led to loot boxes being removed from Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Middle Earth: Shadow of War. On the other hand, 2K seems to have stuck to its guns and got away with it. The sad thing is that micro-transactions really can't be considered "micro" now, given that you're expected to fork out considerable sums of money for stat upgrades and suchlike. Essentially, companies like this are creating a problem to sell a solution, and I don't like it.

I bought the Halo Reach Legendary Edition in 2010 and sold the bits I didn't want. I ended up making a profit. I'm still amazed that people were willing to pay in excess of £50 for a code that gives your avatar a flaming helmet that has absolutely no effect on the gameplay.
  5. It's between Di Francesco and Valverde to become the boss of him now.
  6. I wish they'd done that with Crash. I've listened to the new versions of the tracks, and I prefer the originals.
  7. It was just over £8 when it was on sale recently. £24.99 seems quite silly, especially when you can get a physical copy of the Game of the Year Edition for £11.99 at Argos. Clearly, they're hoping that hype for the sequel raises interest in the original game to the extent that people are willing to pay more for it.
  8. There should be. England haven't had a representative since 2006, but I think they could have one or two this time.
  9. Is this the first time someone's scored both a goal and own goal in a World Cup Final?
  10. Was that this "Spursing" thing I hear so much about?
  11. France are so clinical. They've had long periods in which they've been under pressure, but they take their chances so well.
  12. And his win against Monfils in the round before that took three-and-a-half hours. It's a testament to his stamina that he's even standing.
  13. If Anderson were to win the Final, it would be one of the greatest sporting achievements ever. He's effectively played eight sets today, and there's then the small matter of facing either Nadal or Djokovic in fewer than 48 hours.
  14. Oh, bugger me. This might actually end.
  15. I stopped watching Anderson/Isner and tuned into the Boys' Singles Semi-Final, which also went late into the final set. Britain's Jack Draper has just made it through to the Final, winning 19-17 in the last set. OK, it's not quite as long as the match on Centre Court, but playing for around four hours is a gruelling ask for a 16-year-old.
  16. F1 Race Stars is OK. I've also heard good things about BlazeRush. If you're not strictly looking at racing games, Driver: San Francisco is a surprisingly great driving game. There's a good amount of variety, and the story's stupid in a fun sort of way.
  17. Before the tournament draw was made, I thought that England under Gareth Southgate would go out in the Group Stage. Even with the luck they had with other teams going out, getting to the Semi-Finals with a team that, on paper, doesn't consist of world-class players is still an impressive achievement. I've enjoyed this period of low expectations being surpassed, and I only hope that we don't go back to the "Golden Generation" era of overhype after this. Yes, there are some good players coming through the youth teams, but I really, really hope that most sensible people can stay reasonably grounded.
  18. It's one of those "I before E, except after C" rules.
  19. Agreed. I'll be joining the Croatia bandwagon if England don't come back here.
  20. Those photographers took a battering.
  21. I can't imagine France are terrified by the thought of facing one of these sides right now.
  22. Croatia will kick themselves if they don't take this opportunity. A better one may never come along.
  23. Worrying. England haven't looked on top for a while now.
  24. These CG animals look as if they've been pulled from a house fire at the children's home.
  25. I wanted Belgium to win. I wanted a new winner. Looks like France are champions again.
