  1. Crouch is is quality for the simple fact he is something different, i find it hard to believe also that he can be slagged off, his goal scoring record speaks for it's self last season and internationally and i doubt many up field players have got a better touch then him, he shows how skillful he is at times. Darren Bent will be up front with Rooney this year though for England. Hopefully he gets a chance. Chelsea can also throw up Kalou. If Drogba scores like he did last year, Shevchenko finds consistancy, which i hope he does and Pizzaro shows the class he has shown for Bayern Munich, i think he has scored something like 100 goals in 240 Bundesliga games altogether. Chelsea will have the strikers to watch. If not, Spurs, easily. Smith will turn out to be the worst buy of the season, 6 mill is an awful lot of money for somebody that has played as little football as he has in the last two years? All he brings to Newcastle is a hot head who needs to be watched, Alan Smith has been shit since before he left Leeds. I believe, not 100% sure that Tevez is now a Man United player. Edit: In regards to the post below, he maybe taking it a bit far LOL.
  2. Andriy Voronin - Liverpool Jeremie Aliadiere - Boro David Nugent - Portsmouth They always happen on FM aswell. Man U and West Ham have agreed a 2 million compensation fee. Anyone read Veron's bit in The Sun? He is already warning Tevez it will bite him in the ass,i hope it does aswell LOL. Alan Smith to Newcastle for 6 million. Ferguson is laughing this year, first the fee for Rossi now that for Smith. Dyer on 80,000! Going to West Ham, he's a cocky bastard as it is in real life, he'll be laughing when he sits out most of next season through injury. If he stays fit, i would of rather him gone to Spurs.
  3. Credit - TWTD Sub Gary Roberts grabbed an 86th minute equaliser as the Blues drew 1-1 at Royal Antwerp. The home side had gone ahead via Luciano Olguín with 10 minutes remaining. Antwerp, who included former Town trialist Sean Doherty in their first half line-up, came close to going in front in the eighth minute, a shot rattling the crossbar with Neil Alexander well beaten. Pablo Couñago went near from a Jon Walters pass, then Tommy Miller and Gavin Williams, twice, both almost opened the scoring during a goalmouth melee. Couñago headed a David Wright cross over on 23, before Alexander pulled off a fine save, tipping the ball over. A 25-yard freekick flew over the bar, although the referee appeared to have been conned into the award by a diving Belgian. Four minutes before the break, Couñago turned and laid the ball off to Miller who shot tamely to the keeper. Town had enjoyed the better of a first half played at around 80% in sunny conditions in the almost Soviet-style Bosuilstadion. Alexander made an easy save on 52, prior to a harsh offside flag against Alan Lee. Soon after, Couñago turned and shot from 20 yards, but well over. The Spaniard was sent through by strike partner Lee three minutes later but the former Málaga man overran the ball and the keeper claimed. Miller shot well wide, before Jim Magilton started to introduce his subs, Danny Haynes replacing Couñago on 70. Two minutes later, Fabian Wilnis and Gary Roberts took over from Jason De Vos and Gavin Williams with George O'Callaghan and Billy Clarke introduced for Jon Walters and Owen Garvan on 77. The home side went in front in the 80th minute from a break down the left. The ball was crossed low into the box and Luciano Olguín stabbed home from close range. Shane Supple was introduced as an outfield sub in the 81st minute for Alex Bruce, who appeared to have hurt his foot. Supple, who we understand is a decent enough outfield player, put in a lively nine minutes at left-back making one or two confident overlaps. With six minutes remaining Wilnis hit a shot from a corner which was blocked, Lee hitting the rebound well over. Town got back on terms on 86 after Billy Clarke made an impressive run into the box before laying the ball to Tommy Miller. The midfielder found Gary Roberts eight yards out and the former Accrington Stanley man made no mistake. The Blues were mostly on top during the second half but with little penetration, neither of the Antwerp keepers being particularly tested. Town's most impressive performers were Jason De Vos and David Wright. GK - Neil Alexander RB - David Wright LB - Dan Harding CB - Jason De Vos (Wilnis 72) CB - Alex Bruce (Supple 81) RM - Gavin Williams (Roberts 72) LM - Jon Walters (Clarke 77) CM - Owen Garvan (O'Callaghan 77) CM - Tommy Miller FOR - Alan Lee FOR - Pablo Couñago (Haynes 70) ____ The local newspaper said Magilton was going to name one of the stronger starting line-ups he has. Apart from a Striker starting wide left, at the moment that is pretty much what i expect him to be lining up with for the kick-off come two weeks. Gary Roberts or Jamie Peters will come in to play a wide role in place of Walters and at the moment, that pretty much is the strongest side. Personally, Danny Haynes would be starting instead of Lee and it would be Roberts starting on the left. Haynes is a super sub, he got that rep after last year, the same with Billy Clarke. Two youngsters with a lot of talent in different areas, this year expect a lot from Danny Haynes. The Navas deal is almost completed aswell, i've read on both IT websites. He's a definite starter in my eyes when he is signed and fit but i think we'll be seeing a few loanees arriving sooner rather then later. A post all because of boredom :ohwell:
  4. Just looking for some feedback on my new sig i made.
  5. MOTD. say no more. BUT... Do not miss Soccer AM, has to be watched.
  6. Well, Holloway seems to hold him with high regards with his little moaning session. What i've seen of him, he's a quality midfielder and was a key part of the team last year, that's according to the boss aswell. "It is not Ipswich who should be signing big players, it should be us - we finished higher in the league last season"... I dont know if his bald little head can remember we took 4 points of him last season including a 3-0 win. And you finished above us on goal difference i believe lol. Who have Plymouth signed? I'm interested. Navas is set to sign for a fee of about 600,00 in the next few weeks, even though he has a broken metatarsil and will remain in Spain for 2 months. He's rejected a trial from Aston Villa and Birmingham to sign for Town, which if is true, is a fantastic signing. Radzinski was also at a pre-season friendly midweek. Midweek results; Bury 1 - Ipswich 6 Billy Clarke(3), Danny Haynes, Owen Garvan and Kurt Robinson Crawley 1 - Ipswich 5 Tommy Miller(3), Alan Lee(2)
  7. ok may aswell say it's a 1 vs. 1, first to 3 votes. Anyone welcome to vote.

  15. Colchester done and will do an Ipswich when they got promoted in to the Premiership, the second part for you to take part this year of course. As for you bringing in Sheringham and Platt? Whoopy doo. Cuerton and Iwelumo kept you up and i'm afraid a 41-42 year old man and a guy that was successful in League Two for one season, i believe? Isn't replacing your top two players. Sheringham has one season left in him and Platt was brought in for the future. With Wayne Brown gone also, i can see you struggling. Platt will take time adjusting and has Sheringham got a 90 minute performance in him? He is no where near the player he was, not surprisingly of course. Yeah, i'm confident. The last three or four years have been a disappointment. This year, Ipswich were the first team out of Premier and Coca Cole league clubs to start Pre-Season training, because last season our poor start cost us. They've been through a three day Army intensive training last week. Ipswich have brought in players who know the club and love the club. Tommy Miller got a hat-trick in a 5-1 win at Crawley a few days ago, not a big deal i know but still. Miller and Counago have already made the difference in the last 2 games, i went to Rushden the other day to watch Ipswich and they were awesome, that's why i'm confident. Navas is set to sign in the next few days, that is if he didn't break a metatarsal(sp?) in the game at Crawley. David Norris is now being linked from Plymouth, Holloway is furious at Magilton for unsettling his key midfield player as now Norris is considering a move lol. This year, there is real buzz and believe the play-offs are a possibility. As for considering Stoke and Cardiff being a stronger force, we'll see. The adjustment from Premiership to Championship is always a tough one, Sheffield United would of lost some believe in Warnock's descion to leave, even though i hated him. Sheffield United are cheating bastards, they fall like autumn leaves. Charlton are the only ones i believe capable of bouncing back first time of asking. It's going to be a good season, as for Colchester finishing above Ipswich AGAIN this season, i doubt it. Relegation for The U's, you heard it here first.
  16. First graphic i've made in a while, a good 9-10 months. just looking for thoughts.
  17. 1. Charlton 2. West Brom _____________ 3. Southampton 4. Leicester 5. Ipswich 6. Crystal Palace _____________ 7. Watford 8. Coventry 9. Wolves 10. Preston 11. Sheffield United 12. Cardiff 13. Norwich 14. Burnley 15. Sheffield Wendesday 16. Hull 17. Stoke 18. Plymouth 19. Barnsley 20. Bristol City 21. QPR _____________ 22. Colchester 23. Blackpool 24. Scunthorpe Still along way to go until the kick off though, a little closer to the time somebody should start a Prediction Thread. I went for Blackpool over QPR in the end. Colchester have lost Cuereton and Iwelumo(sp?) both of them kept the club up by themselves IMO. Norwich will do nothing this year, not just because i hate them, but because Huckerby is looking for a way out apparently, Earnshaw has already gone and there shit in general. Yeah, i'm always confident when it comes to Ipswich, they always let me down though lol. I think they'll be a few more chops and changes before the big kick off, we haven't lost anyone of real value which is good. We've got the same back bone of the team that lost 1 game in their final 13 i believe, something like that I'm not sure. Magilton is somebody all of the players look up to and respect and they want to perform for him, a very interesting season lays a head. Bookies have us closer to going down then promotion which is a bit of a shock.
  18. The Championship will be close again this year, not as close as last but i can see the Auto Promotion spots being close with 3rd-9th being pretty close as it was last year. Out of the three relegated Premiership teams, Sheffield United will struggle the most. I think it will be Charlton and West Brom taking the automatic places. I no order, Leicester, Ipswich, Palace and Southampton will be in the play-offs with Colchester, QPR and Scunthorpe taking their exit from the league. I have my season ticket for Ipswich this season already and i think they have a very good chance at making the play-offs this year, through luck and the devolping managerial brain of Jim Magilton. Town recieved 2.5million from Darren Bent moving to Spurs and yet we haven't spent a penny, is that a bad thing? No. We've failed on the captures of Richard Wright, Titus Bramble and Francis Jeffers, bad thing? No. Wright opted for a 15 grand a week to sit on a West Ham bench behind Robert Green and Jeffers wanted to much for wages and the board weren't willing to break the wage scale for him. Bramble i think gets a lot of stick and was the scape goat for Roeder, unfairly. The first season he broke in the first team, our first season in the Premiership a few years back, the guy was handed Henry's shirt personally after Bramble kept him in his back pocket the whole game. I was there, witnessed it, Bramble will turn out to be one of the best defenders in the Premiership, YOU READ IT HERE FIRST! He is the only one i was disappointed at losing out at. My dog is also named, Titus, after him so.... Three have been signed on a free Scotland International Goalkeeper, Neil Alexander from Cardiff. Tommy Miller from Sunderland and Pablo Coungago from Malaga. The latter two were at Ipswich in previous years, Pabz was here to see the rise and fall of the Ipswich in the Premiership through two seasons but i think he's class and to have him back two years late ras a more experienced player is beneficial. Miller is a proven goal scoring midfielder and another guy i'm happy to have back as the pair never wanted to leave the club anyway. Alexander is solid and exactly what the defence needs to keep them in shape. Arsène Menessou and César Navas are two trialists playing in a friendly this evening, Navas was at Malaga last season with Pablo and started his career at Real Madrid, can't be a bad player, a very commanding center back with pace, another thing we need as both our CB's are aging, this will be De Vos's final season. Arsène Menessou i've never heard of but is a solid right back who plays for Le Harve i believe, in France. Matthew Bates, Malcolm Christie, Tomasz Radzinski and Claus Jensen have all been linked with a move here loan or permanent also in the previous weeks. We'll end up being one of the top scoring teams in the league with Alan Lee, Danny Haynes and Billy Clarke also on the books. Gary Roberts and Miller will supply the goals from midfield also. But, we'll also have one of the worse defenses in the league unless we spent the windfall from Bent on making that a solid unit An un-needed Ipswich update for you Coca Cola League followers. We're still the best passing team in the league by far
  19. I've always made my own training, make a seperate one for goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers. The guys in my U18's also have a bumped up schudule(sp?). I keep the reserves as they are as i loan most of them out anyways. I think it always helps to do this. Gonna go start my first post for my Ipswich diary i posted in the Cube like 2 weeks ago
  20. Former WWE, WCW, ECW and TNA superstar Big Vito (Logrosso) is currently in training in MMA, he joins Sean O'Haire who recently just started his MMA career also. Credit - WrestleZone
  21. we are all not worthy

  22. yeah I do LoL but who cares he'll be released before the real season kicks off now with Mr. Erikkson in-charge. I hope the guy gets battered with abuse everywhere he goes this season. Anyway, Norwich just scored in the 89th minute for a 1-1 draw, i always hated Huckerby.
  23. 14 games into an opening season with Ipswich, 9 wins 3 draws 2 loses, yet i find myself second to West Brom. Early signs are encouraging. Richard Wright and Francis Jeffers have been brought in on loan, went off whats happening/happened in real life for these two and i tell you, Jeffers is amazing, started 11 with 3 sub apperances getting 8 goals. I had to pay 300,000 for a season loan but worth it. Denilson from Arsenal also on loan due to a link between the clubs HAHA well chuffed. Reading the above in regards to Gooner, get three seasons in and Luke Moore is one of the best players on the game the first season he is always garbage, same goes for Man City's Dean Sturridge if you buy him for 2 mill even though i think he's 16 opening season with the right training and tutoring he becomes one of the best on the game.
