  1. Kranjcar interesting Wenger, apparently 12 million is the asking price. I think he'd be worth every penny, i've always rated him. I'm not an Arsenal fan but someone like him could fit in nicely with the Arsenal midfield i think. Could be a good bit of business if it's true. Martins for 15 million from Newcastle as well, football manager turns real if that's true, he always seems to go to Arsenal. Newcastle being linked with Andrew Johnson and Steven Davis? I can't see Johnson leaving Everton, Davis could be a good signing, on the cheap also if Fulham go down. Stephen Hunt to Sunderland for 5 million if Reading to down, Keane will renew his interest in the summer only if they go down, apparently. I love football rumors. I hate the feeling of being so close to end of a season though, the summer always seems to fly past though so i hope it doesn't change this year.
  2. I believe Ipswich recieved just under 2 million of the deal. On another Riise link, 8 million plus Riise to bring in Abidal from Barcelona, can't see that happening, but who knows. Portsmouth are considering an 8 million pound move for Crouch so yeah, half the fee mentioned lol. Saha and Fletcher to Sunderland apparently, 8 million for the pair of them. A lot of 8's it seems
  3. If they run with the guys they have on the legends page on wwe, could be very interesting. Curt Hennig, Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, Roddy Piper, Ted DiBiase..........The Godfather. I can't find my Legends Of Wrestling game anywhere
  4. You got my vote mate, good luck.
  5. Holloway good enough for the premier league? >_< proved that hasn't he....
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W790zdb92n8 There's one of the FEW that go on that show with ACTUAL talent.
  7. That is tomorrow also. There's a big dinner party after, tickets were something like £100 to attend. Jon Walters will receive his players and supporters player of the year, Beattie his medal and a speech from Bobby.
  8. Crystal Palace are crap, if Ipswich can beat them away, that's saying something. Neil Warnock is a wanker. Any club he is in charge of i would never wish success on.
  9. Depressing, depressing and again, depressing. 1 point out of the play-offs, better goal difference then Wolves and Watford, who finished 7th and 6th. The play-offs are really up in the air, i'm leaning towards Bristol City to go up, after seeing all four teams at Portman Road and going to Watford and Crystal Palace away as well, i hope they don't go up, Hull and Bristol City are the more impressive out of the four teams but all teams are distinctly average, Stoke and whoever go up in the play-offs will compete to beat Derby's impressive record, it would have been the same if Ipswich did make it and then go up, in a way i'm glad, one more season at this level with a healthy transfer budget next year won't be a bad thing. Next year, will make the top 6, well, IMO. Great season for football, The Championship has been more then enjoyable this year, already have my season ticket renewed for next year, i'm already counting down the days. Tomorrow i'm heading in to the town center to watch Sir Bobby Robson get given the freedom of Ipswich and the F.A Cup winning team are parading the cup in a 30 year ceremony since winning it, which should be good.
  10. Marcus Stewart is actually the best player i've seen in an Ipswich shirt since i've been going. Very under rated. He wasn't pacey but he had such a class footballing brain and a could score a few goals. First season Ipswich got in the Premiership in 2000, Stewart was the top English goal scorer in the league, i actually think he may have been top or second overall for goals in the division actually that year but didn't even get mentioned to play for England, which was disappointing, he really deserved it. Oh that year when Ipswich were good again. Watching them beat Barnsley in the last game at the old Wembley in the play-offs still is the best day of my life. Remember it like it was yesterday. Liverpool beat us to a Champions League place the year after that on the last day of the season, bastards lol.
  11. Has he even played for Fulham yet? I recall Hodgson saying he could be 'our diamond in the rough' to get them out of relegation like 4 weeks ago, don't remember him on a match of the day though.
  12. Why not, i'll throw something in to this; Roberto Di Matteo, Marcel Desailly, Gustavo Poyet, Gianluca Vialli, Gianfranco Zola, Frank Leboeuf, Brian Laudrup and i suppose you could really add Dennis Wise, Tore Andre Flo and Graeme Le Saux in there, that's a far from average bunch of players to make a team out of and there's more then likely one or two more i'm forgetting. Between 1997 and 2000, they won an F.A Cup, a League Cup and a Charity Shield, more then most at the time i imagine. I don't disagree with you that Maradonna was a good player, but MY opinion is he'll be remembered through the hand of god, therefore making him a cheat, BEFORE people mention the solo goal, which yes, again, was a world class goal and he'll be remembered because of his drug taking whilst playing and after his playing career. Marco Van Basten scored 128 goals in 133 appearances for Ajax and he would of gone on to be maybe the best player ever if it wasn't for an injury pledged career, that's MY opinion. Cruyff has a piece a skill named after him, which players still use today and was just as smart, just as skillful, probably even more so then Maradonna. As for your last comment, you gave your opinion, others gave theres, you're the one who isn't listening or taking in other opinions in, your shoving your opinion down everyones throat, not listening to anything anyone has to say and let's face the facts, i believe most people don't agree with anything you've said, i believe i've seen one person agree with you on ONE thing since this whole thing began, so really, with that fact in mind if " who is the braindead, inbred fuckin shithead who dont have a clue about football? " It is rather amuzing this came from Roy Keane, his anger and rage must be contagious? There's no need to react to your warning like you did either, you have more thnen likely just made it in to something bigger through your reaction.
  13. Please, people always bring up Cruyff and Van Basten not winning a World Cup. By the way, Holland won the Euro Cup in 1988 with Van Basten, but okay. Maradona won the World Cup with Argentina once, and he had a great tournament. But one player doesn't make a team, you have to have players around you that do the dirty work and he had that. But if you want to judge someone by World Cups, what about judging someone by how they have done at clubs? Has Maradona ever won the Champions League? Has he like Van Basten did with AC Milan dominated Europe? No. I think in the end people will remember Maradona for his solo goal against England and probably the hand of god, which wasn't a piece of skill or anything. Cruyff however, will be remembered for being the main man in the Holland team that brought "total football" to the world in 1974, won Champions Leagues with Ajax and Barcelona, and he was also a great coach. Van Basten will be remembered for the buttload of goals he scored for Ajax, being the best striker of Europe for years, scoring the most crucial goal for Holland ever (winning the euro cup), and dominating with AC Milan alongside Rijkaard and Gullit. So no, I don't consider Maradona the best ever, he should've accomplished more with his talents, but he didn't, 'cause he was an idiot that took drugs. Also, 90% of all footballers have done drugs? Ha. I don't think i could say much more, well i wouldn't have got my point across like that but totally agree with you 100%. Don't forget the Cruyff Turn also.
  14. Do you think Darren will be manager of Man Utd one day? Serious question.... Do you think he'd have to REALLY earn it before being considered? Or could he have a mediocre managers career and get the job because of his family name? I mean i know if he stays at Peterborough all his life and never wins nothing then it wouldn't happen but say he does alright moves around a bit, does well without winning any trophies, would he get the job?
  15. I said the same about Bobby Robson, it just doesn't happen. Well i suppose Robson is being giving a role at Ipswich next year apparently, he's always been the man Magilton rings on advice for players apparently. I can see Fergie taking an upstairs role maybe with the club when he decides his management days are over.
  16. He won't retire yet, i think he'll go at the end of next year regardless of what they win.
  17. Nellyville. I haven't listened to this album for years. It still actually is quality.
  18. I've just finished watching the last episode of series 2 of The Sopranos, now moving on with episode 1 of series 3. How i didn't watch this programme when it was being aired, i have no idea. It's brilliant.
  19. How will Rafa slag him off now? He delievered the two killer blows, the opening goal and the winning goal and was by far the best player on the pitch. The goal must have meant a lot to Lampard as well. Chelsea were definitely the better team for the majority of the game, Liverpool only looked dangerous in the few minutes after they scored, IMO anyway. Chelsea for the double!
  20. How can you go seven games unbeaten? A run that includes Watford and West Brom away (both finished 2-2), Southampton away (won 2-1) and Sheff Utd at home (won 3-0) and then go and lose to bottom of the table Scunthorpe 1-0? I do hate FM sometimes lol, means my Q.P.R team sits 3 points off top spot.
  21. This years final is going to be awesome. Chelsea versus. Manchester United
  22. Away goals won't be needed now lol, 3-1, Drogba! What will Rafa have to say about him now? It was always gonna happen because of his comments.
  23. Egil Ostenstad was a Norway International who had spells at Blackburn & Southampton and where the fucks he? Haaland would of just floated into obscurity is what I mean, Championship or Norwegian First League most likely. Hell, poor old Alf Inge's names only ever mentioned for that incident. The fact remains, what did Haaland ever win? He was a nobody in a team full of nobodies! Keane was the Captain of one of the world's most prestigious clubs. Anyway enough talking about Haaland, this is the Top 25 footballers thread so let's talk about the situation at hand. And yeah Lil Zola was a world class player in an otherwise average Chelsea team, and I'll always remember his cheeky little mid-air backheel flick goal. Pure class. And if Maradona doesn't win this it's a travesty, greatest player to ever step foot on a blade of grass. That's your opinion. It wouldn't be a travesty at all if he didn't win, he's a cheat, remember? Great player yes, but with the likes of Pele, Van Basten, Cruyff just to name a few, all worthy of winning. Romario retired the other day, totally forgot about him, he was awesome. The best Brazilian footballer i've seen in my life so far by far. He was something like 42 lol. Edit: Chelsea were far from average back then.
