  1. Only 10 votes in, so far. Based on those 10 votes, the results are fairly interesting. Keep those votes coming!

  3. The Elite Eight results are in! EASTERN BRACKET In the battle of 1) Community vs. 2) Seinfeld, the winner is 1) Community Not even a comedy giant could hold up against Community. 20-7. CENTRAL BRACKET In the battle of 4) Breaking Bad vs. 15) Sons of Anarchy, the winner is 4) Breaking Bad Perhaps the greatest Cinderella run of the tournament has come to an end. 19-8. MOUNTAIN BRACKET In the battle of 1) The Simpsons vs. 2) Scrubs, the winner is 1) The Simspons 21-6. PACIFIC BRACKET In the battle of 1) Arrested Development vs. 6) Futurama, the winner is 1) Arrested Development Futurama only had so many surprises in store. 18-9. Four quarterfinal matches. Four runaway victories. We're down to The Final Four.
  4. About 6.5 hours left to vote in this round. If you haven't yet, please send your votes via PM.
  5. No, having Lewis Black amongst actual we're-serious-all-the-time people is the best use of Lewis Black. Though I imagine we'll see about 100% less cursing, which is a shame.
  6. Wait, is that what's left, along with the obvious? Yeah, 10 or more shows on this list belong above South Park.
  7. I can't imagine running this just one year later. It's an "All-Time" list, and not too many shows would be added for consideration in just a year. Hell, this may be the only one we ever do with this kind of scope. Again, please vote via PM.
  8. I'll start the discussion: let's all hope Scrubs dies in a fire.
  9. ROUND 4 - THE ELITE EIGHT EASTERN BRACKET 1) Community vs. 2) Seinfeld CENTRAL BRACKET 4) Breaking Bad vs. 15) Sons of Anarchy MOUNTAIN BRACKET 1) The Simpsons vs. 2) Scrubs PACIFIC BRACKET 1) Arrested Development vs. 6) Futurama REMEMBER: PM your votes for this round to me. Do not post your votes in this thread. However, you may feel free to discuss the round in this thread. You have approximately 44 hours to PM your votes for The Elite Eight. Voting for this round will end at 6:59 EDT/5:59 PM CDT/11:59 PM GMT on Tuesday, April 17th. Remember to vote on every match-up, or else your votes will not be counted.
  10. The Sweet Sixteen results are in! EASTERN BRACKET In the battle of 1) Community vs. 4) The Office, the winner is 1) Community I figured this would be Community's toughest battle. It was actually close to it (West Wing got closer.) And yet, 31-7. In the battle of 3) The Walking Dead vs. 2) Seinfeld, the winner is 2) Seinfeld The Eastern Bracket will officially come down to seed 1 vs. seed 2. 25-13. CENTRAL BRACKET In the battle of 9) Game of Thrones vs. 4) Breaking Bad, the winner is 4) Breaking Bad A great showing by two current dramatic powerhouses. Was it the larger library of content that made the difference? 23-15. In the battle of 3) South Park vs. 15) Sons of Anarchy, the winner is 15) Sons of Anarchy Perhaps the most notable upset so far for SoA, and it was a close one. 20-18. MOUNTAIN BRACKET In the battle of 1) The Simpsons vs. 4) The Sopranos, the winner is 1) The Simpsons The modern comedy monolith destroyed the modern drama that raised the bar for everyone. 30-8. In the battle of 14) Louie vs. 2) Scrubs, the winner is 2) Scrubs Oh, goddamnit. Goddamnit. 22-16 PACIFIC BRACKET In the battle of 1) Arrested Development vs. 13) The A-Team, the winner is 1) Arrested Development Another Cinderella run comes to an end. 29-9. Finally, in the battle of 6) Futurama vs. 2) The Wire, the winner is 6) Futurama That's a significant upset, if you ask me. I thought The Wire had a good shot at winning it all. 23-15. We're down to the prestigious Elite Eight. That round will posted very soon. Get ready to PM your votes and lobby for your picks.
  11. Sweet Sixteen voting is now closed. I will post the Elite Eight soon. Remember, from here on out, voting will be done via PM.
  12. Yeah, Friends is average television. It's not awful, but there's a lot of stuff out there that's better, both past and present. In my opinion, it got as far as it did due to slightly weaker opponents. Voting for the round is up in about 40 minutes.
  13. EWB! Check out the new project I'm working on in the obvious thread in The Lounge! Your donations would be greatly appreciated!

  14. It really is tragic that the full-on Grindhouse double feature didn't financially do very well in theaters. I would kill to make that shit like a bi-annual tradition.
  15. Plus, Animaniacs. This is getting much classier.
  16. Friends was overdue to go. I shall let it. I shall let it. Especially since, from here on out, fuck Scrubs.
  17. Really, most of these shows being higher than Looney Tunes is laughable anyway, but fuckin' Family Guy. You guys.
  18. Looked for it, found it, decided to go in a more Ceraian direction. But yes, I forgot "Dutch" somehow.
  19. Let's start an International Michael Cera Tournament. Entrants will be judged upon Mumbling, Quirk, and Boyishness. I'd say Netherlandish Michael Cera is set to be the favorite.
  20. Wait. I just realized I misread the Michael Cera thing.
  21. Oh man, I JUST jumped on the Dick Tracy thing. At least stick with this so I can join! Dibs on Murdock! GODDAMMIT. Okay, it's cool. Hell, I'll be Frankie if I have to. I fucking love both shows, but having an Italian stereotype named Tony is hardly revelatory in either case. As opposed to the Russian Michael Cera, who apparently came first?
