Dude, Eli has always had the potential, he just had to come into his own. You can keep making arguments all you want for Grossman, but the guy will be nothing more than just a mediocre quarterback. Yes, he has good games, but then he comes right back with games with 3, 4, or 5 turnovers all on his own.

Yeah, I swear I thought I saw it say Monday at 1 PM. But I haven't slept very well the last couple of days so it could just have easily said Monday at 1 AM. I can't sleep anyway, so screw it, I'll stay up, but I can think of a couple dozen people that are going to wake up pissed in the morning.

You're right. Michael Waltrip is overrated both because of his last name and because he won at Daytona and Talledega. Both tracks are Super Speedways, which is what DEI's car dominated at. Waltrip was just in the right place at the right time. As for Junior winning a championship, eh. I'm a Gordon fan. I honestly have been since he first got into the at the time, Winston Cup, because my whole family (and now I) work at DuPont. Dale Junior got hit with the "If you can't beat them, join them" mentality and that's fine. I hope he, Jeff, and Jimmie work well together, as I'm sure they will. I just get frustrated when people keep building up Junior to be a superdriver. His dad was the man. Until Junior proves he can go out there and consistenly win, I just don't see the big deal in him. I know everyone likes him as the sentimental favorite, but he's not his father. The sooner people realize that, the better off Junior will be.

It's the be-all end-all of realistic football games, because that's the closest we're able to get. All Pro Football 2K8 (from what I hear) is a decent game, but with a roster of Hall of Fame players, it doesn't really qualify as realistic. So as long as Madden has the NFL rights all to themselves, it's "the best NFL video game out there"! I agree on the injuries being sadly pathetic, though.

My story also involves WCW/nWo Revenge. About six of my friends and I stayed over at another friends for the night. We stayed up all night eating pizza and drinking Mountain Dew (we were 13 or 14 at the time). About four in the morning, my best friend and I decided to go at it with him as Goldberg and I as Diamond Dallas Page. Our match went well over an hour, with him hitting the spear over and over. He hit me with a Jackhammer three or four times and each time, everyone would say it was over, but DDP kept kicking out. It ended when we both got a special, he got to me first and went for the Jackhammer, but DDP reversed it and hit the Diamond Cutter. Picked that fucker up and hit the Diamond Cutter again and got the win. It's been over ten years, but I remember it lasting about 67 minutes. Played another friend a little while later and beat him in four minutes. So then they tried to get my Goldberg-friend and I to do another match, but we both were spent.

First of all, hats off to the New York Football Giants. I had been impressed with their other playoff wins, and I admit, didn't think they had it in them to win tonight. I wasn't willing to go against Brady/Bellichek in a Super Bowl. I was wrong, and I couldn't be happier. I think it may be because of all those annoying ass commercials, but I really don't like Peyton. But I am slowly becoming a fan of Eli. He reminds me alot of myself, where he is usually quiet and people take it the wrong way. He's just a nice guy that keeps to himself. As for Bellichek leaving the field early, it was classless, cowardly, and selfish. Those of you that say otherwise, must clearly not have ever played any type of athletics. I played football, basketball, and lacrosse in high school and lacrosse in college. If any of my coach's had left the field with time still left on the clock, leaving all of us out there, he would have lost all respect from my teammates and myself. I realize its the Super Bowl and he is upset. The whole New England roster was upset, as well. It's no excuse to basically walk out on the guy's that got you to that point. If I were a Patriot player, I'd ask to be traded, because I would not play for a man that walked out on me. He is a heck of a coach, but he is a very small man.

That's right, boys. Today is Super Bowl Sunday which is quickly becoming a National Holiday here in the US of A. We've got the 18-0 New England Patriots on one side and the apparent "Never Say Die" New York Giants on the other side of the field. I personally didn't expect the Giants to get past Dallas, and especially Green Bay, so now I have a little more faith in them. I just can't see New England stumbling at this point. Who do you guy's want and/or predict winning the big game tonight?

I've been aggravated by it, but never thought of taking legal action. I did suspect there would be some losers out there somewhere who's "personal" life would be affected by all this, and decide to sue.

I have been on the phone with Xbox Support for the last couple hours. Live had been messing up, but worked again as of last week. But yesterday and today, it will let me log on for about two minutes and kick me off. Then I can't sign back on. This shit is bogus.

I'm more than willing to join, to even things up. My gamertag is meacon.

What about two divisions with six teams? If that were the case, I would be willing to add my name to the pot. And I would be willing to play the "commissioner" role, if need be. Making an easy web page that I will use to update the division standings, scores of games, and player statistics for the season. Let me know and we can start calling teams and I can start making schedules. I do have experience with this stuff; I've done these things for our local Madden league for years, and I really don't mind.

What pisses me off is that my roommate is in the other room playing on Live, but I can't. And I did Test Connection, and it is indeed Xbox Live that is not working. How can we be on the same router, and Live works for him, but not me? Is it luck of the draw? And I don't want their stupid Arcade games, I want what I'm paying for. They should give us free weeks of gaming. All I have heard about for years is how great XBox Live is and as soon as I get it, it crashes. Bogus.

To get off of whatever stupid topic this thread is currently on, has anyone had problems with Live today? I did the test connection and everything is working fine, but Xbox Live. Just wondering if anyone else's is acting funny.

So my new high is 8 kills in one game. I am improving steadily as I have learned a few things. First of all, this is the first First-Person shooter I have played online since I played Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear on the PC back in like 1997, so things you all may know already, I'm just grasping. But for Call of Duty, I would constantly get killed because I had a hard time distinguishing who was on my team and who wasn't. I'd see someone, but try to tell who's side they were on before pulling the trigger. Now I know that if the person I see doesn't have a name over their head, or if its red, then it's the other team. So I have been able to get a lot more kills (well, 8 but its more than 0) here recently.

Just had my best online game to date. 6 kills and I died 8 times. Conservative. But still shit. Feel free to add me on guys. I'd like to play with some EWBites.

I'm American and completely new to Football Manager. I got reading this thread and the game sounded pretty badass, so I went ahead and downloaded the demo. I just have a few questions, maybe some of you can help me out. I started the game unemployed, seeing that I thought it'd be a little bit more realistic than having some American with crappy coaching stats just randomly take over Arsenal or Chelsea. So when I go to the Job Center (or Centre ) I see job openings for Scouts, Assistant Coaches, Goalkeeping coach, what have you. Now, in the demo, I can only apply for Managerial positions. Is that how it is in the full version as well? I know its called Football MANAGER, but I actually wanted to start off with a less important job, sort of a way to get a feel for the game. It's no big deal, seeing that it's just a demo and I'm sure I'll be fine once I get the hang of it. But I thought I'd ask. Also, and don't "boo" me for this, but is the MLS available in the full version? In the demo I have to work with English teams. But if I were to buy this, I think I'd like to start off by bringing in a bunch of foreigners to make a kick ass MLS team.
