  1. Sunderland/Newcastle has been really entertaining thus far. Not a whole lot of chances but it's intense and the fans are making great noise. Kudos to Webb, he's kept it under control and hasn't reached into his pocket too often.
  2. This isn't fun anymore. I stopped watching City/Wolves and as soon as I get the stream going for Chelsea/Blackburn, Ivanovic scores.
  3. So, now that that's out of the way... any other matches worth watching?
  4. Had a bad feeling that would happen. What a glorious goal from Tevez, that cunt.
  5. Aaand City are level. :/ Wolves have been great but have nothing to show for it - once again. Mick McCarthy's head will probably explode if he has to hear that again.
  6. What a positive start from Wolves. It's 1-0 already and they haven't even thought of backing down. Dzeko's had little time on the ball, but he's looked fine thus far. Could be trouble when/if City really get things going.
  7. http://news.bbc.co.u...nal/9360912.stm Fabregas calling Ipswich's long ball tactics "rugby kicks". Yeah, we get it, Arsenal play pretty football but you lot should get your heads out your asses every once in a while. Especially if the "rugby kicks" completely expose your back four, while you can't break down a Championship side's defense with your neat passing.
  8. To be fair, Wes Brown nowadays puts on below-average performances more often than not. It's better to let him go 'cause we don't really need him. There's O'Shea to fill in any spot in the back four and I'd pick the twins, Smalling or Evans over Brown any given day. But yeah, he's been with us for ages (since, what, '98?) and I respect the guy - such a shame constant injuries had to ruin it for him. :/
  9. YEEES! I was just thinking they really need a lead to take to the Emirates, 'cause Arsenal won't be this awful again. Now hold on!
  10. Ipswich looking more likely to score than Arsenal at the moment. They've really turned it on in the past few minutes, while the Gunners just look dull. Seriously, they haven't won anything in five years, yet they look like they're not even trying in a cup semi-final?
  11. You should've let Keano stay. The penalty was debatable, Gerrard's red was clear as day, Rafael could've been cautioned, and all in all the match wasn't that great. Or it might've been that I watched it with a friend who it turns out doesn't give a rat's ass about football. Won't make that mistake again. >_> Happy with the result, but we really should start killing games off - not that Liverpool really posed any serious threat, but it's going to (and has already) backfire on us every now and then.
  12. I have a feeling Liverpool might step it up a bit today with Dalglish being appointed and all that jazz. Plus it's rarely a piece of cake when we play 'pool. They turned the match around and gave us a good run for our money earlier this season at OT, and last spring we lost at Anfield when the club was in crisis and people were calling for Benitez's head. You just never know what happens in these games. It pretty much depends on which Liverpool will turn up today; the one that got thumped by Blackburn, or the one that beat Chelsea.
  13. Also coming from a neutral, it was a clear penalty. It wasn't much of a tug but just enough to pull Walcott slightly back and prevent him from taking a shot.
  14. Two penalty claims in a row for Arsenal, the second one given. Fabregas scored. The guy streaming the match must be a Leeds fans since he shut it down right away after the ball hit the net.
  15. ... Whoa, Leeds are doing it again.
  16. Watching Arsenal/City and hadn't checked out the other results until now. All I can say is !
  17. I think it's a case of "hey look, the new guy played real well!" rather than "he was the best player on the pitch". That's the case with me at least, 'cause Vidic putting on a MOTM performance has been pretty much the rule rather than the exception this season. It seems I don't even feel the need to point it out anymore. And the progress Rafael has made during his years at United is fantastic. He seems like a real pitbull nowadays, I'm loving it.
  18. Great match yesterday. You just knew Stoke were going to equalize with the way this season's been going for us - 45 minutes of smooth sailing was too good to be true. Was a bit worried after that, but we recovered pretty well and Nani won it in the end with a beautiful curler. Love those shots from him. The men of the match for me were Hernandez, Smalling and Nani. Chicharito obviously scored that brilliant goal to put us one up, but he also played well throughout the match like he always does. Chris Smalling convinced me with a really solid performance, him and Vidic pretty much shut Stoke out apart from that goal they got (though it was Evra's man to mark, IIRC), while Nani was, well, Nani; a bit of trickery and diving mixed with some great play. Gotta give a lot of credit to Rafael and Evra, too. Just a solid performance all around, better than the scoreline suggests.
  19. Ha, lovely. I shut BBC's live text after Terry's goal so I had no idea until now. Thanks, Villa!
  20. Six yellow cards for Villa and one for Chelsea in the first half. Someone's getting sent off before this one's over.
  21. Oh yeah, forgot about that. Just seemed odd how he ran back on like nothing had happened after seeming to be in a lot of pain just a minute before. It wasn't the most convincing or deserved win, but that's typical of our season. We got lucky with Odemwingie's penalty miss and a few referee decisions, including the penalty not given against Neville (who was hopeless throughout the match). Foy also missed a clear handball against WBA, so he was pretty poor throughout. Not that I really care, I'll take any away win at this point.
  22. Fuck's sake. Chicharito put us up front a while back, but now - two minutes from time - Rooney's injured his ankle once again. Ugh. ... wait, now he's back after going off to be subbed?
  23. Eh, I just woke up hung over and missed Rooney's goal(!), and when I finally got the stream working Morrison scores for West Brom. Was a beauty, though.
  24. Anichebe got sent off a while ago and now the Snood Superstars have got one back. 20 minutes left. :/
