  1. Would've bet on Rooney to score from the spot after he's finally starting to get things back on track. A frustrating game for him even without that miss, as he basically had no service throughout the 90 minutes. Scratching that, what a fantastic win. We pretty much shut out Arsenal, Nasri was non-existant and there wasn't even a real scare aside from van der Sar's mistake. Vidic was pure class, again. Finally looking like the rock in the back he was before Torres humiliated him at Old Trafford. I also have to give credit to Anderson who I usually criticise ('cause, well, nine times out of ten he's shit). Did really well altogether, and that's probably the first time I've ever said that. 2 points clear of Arsenal with a game in hand - things are finally looking great for us. Bring on Chelsea!
  2. Lovely first half. Intense, free-flowing, great atmosphere and goal from Park to put a smile on my face. Has lived up to my expectations thus far.
  3. Loving it. So once the monkey ships back home to Argentina, Balotelli will be City's number one striker? Good luck with that, Mancini.
  4. Great, great match. One of the best this season has offered. So glad Gomes made up for his second fuck up of the night, 'cause I was sure Drogba would slot that penalty in. Now it's time to get pumped about tomorrow night. Just watched a bunch of old United/Arsenal highlights, including the van Nistelrooy incident at OT and the 2-0 win a year later. I can't wait.
  5. SAF on MUTV regarding Anderson: "He should score more goals," he said. "He's got the pace and power. He's clever, he's accurate with his passing, he should be accurate with his finishing and he's taken his goal well tonight. I'm pleased. That'll help him." Rooney did really well yesterday, such a shame his glorious attempt hit the bar in the first half. Some clever passing a few decent goal attempts, should get on the scoresheet again soon. He's like a different man from what we saw before that contract hassle.
  6. Ugh. Carrick gifts Valencia a goal seconds after Park missed a fantastic chance.
  7. As a Finn, all I can say is fuck Russia. The scum are rude, violent and racist by nature. I'd rather have fucking Luxembourg host a World Cup than them.
  8. Ipswich to dump Arsenal out. I believe in Keano.
  9. Hahaha, always love a pitch invasion. The Blues fans packed in front of the away section - those Villa fans must be pretty pissed off right about now.
  10. I was actually looking forward to our 'inevitable' meeting with Arsenal. No excuses. West Ham have been way superior, and we've been shit - even with guys like Giggs and Fletcher on the pitch. Jonny Evans was horrible.
  11. And it ends in complete chaos and Ramos getting sent off. Jesus, is there any way it could've been worse for Real? Total and utter humiliation.
  12. Just took a quick glance at the El Clásico results throughout the years, and it seems that the last time someone won five of these matches in a row (in the league, at least) happened in the mid-60s. Mourinho has his work cut out for him to stop Barca from making it six when they come to the Bernabeu. Doesn't look too promising.
  13. Real look like boys trying to play against men. I can't wait to hear what Mourinho has to say after this. You know it's bad when Casillas doesn't even bother trying.
  14. It's been entertaining to watch and I think the referee has done well in letting them play despite the constant pressure from the crowd. Just a shame Real haven't been close to Barca in terms of quality, and the actual reason this has been so exciting are the incidents between Ronaldo & Guardiola, Valdes & Pepe (or was it him?), Carvalho & Messi and so on. Has that fiesty derby feel to it, as it should. Just hope Real turn it up a notch in the 2nd half. We need Ronaldo to score the next goal. Now that would make things interesting.
  15. What can I say? At least I'm being honest about it.
  16. Was hoping for United vs FC United, but a derby in the cup is always fantastic. Bring it on!
  17. Put aside my hatred for Liveprool (or, the joy of Spurs' late winner), it was still an extremely exciting match to end an amazing weekend in the Premier League. Also, and I probably shouldn't say this, but fuck it; should that cunt Carragher's injury be serious, it would make this weekend even better.
  18. Boo. Liverpool were way more fun when they played shit.
  19. So it ends Brighton 1-1 FC United. Looking at BBC's live text, it says Brighton missed a penalty in the final minute of added time. United are one lucky bunch.
  20. To be fair he did go two months without scoring, so I'd say the 'haters' were entitled to their criticism. But it did make my day to see him pull off a performance like that. Wonderful results all around. Stoke ruining Man City's day, the Hammers finally getting a win, West Brom beating Everton... great stuff.
