  1. How bad did it look? Did he have to be helped off the court? Baron Davis looking good to start off the game, hopefully Melo gets going soon.
  2. There was nothing entertaining about Will Ferrell's run. I disagree, while the episodes weren't amazing it was still fun to watch one of the most successful comedic actors of the past decade play a role in the show. They weren't groundbreaking or absolutely hysterical, but it kept you watching.
  3. Although the Office hasn't been at it's best for a few years at least the last couple of years it held it's own. There were weeks last year where all four shows were great, and even though The Office was starting to trend downwards they still put on good-great episodes. Maybe it was Steve Carrell, and then Will Ferrell, that at least kept the show entertaining last year? But this year has been so non-captivating. Every episode a few characters say something funny, but that's because The Office characters all have their own charm to them. It just seems like they are barely trying to put together an overarching storyline though.
  4. Typically I'm not a big fan of the episodes where Community spoofs a certain genre. Often times I feel like they are trying to be too smart for their own good. However, this one was just awesome. The dialogue was brilliant from start to finish, and it was probably the best episode of it's kind. As far as the Office goes it was just another one of the "going through the motions" type of episodes. There were a few points where I laughed, but that's because I love the characters. When the cast split between Scranton & Florida things were looking like they were going to pick up, but right now it feels like we are still in the same monotony of the beginning of this season. It's such a shame because when it was at it's best, years ago, I think it was better than Community/Parks & Rec/30 Rock. Now it just seems like an old dog waiting to be put to sleep.
  5. Bring on the Heat! I don't really think the Knicks have much of a chance at winning this series, but they should make some noise. Given the Knick team, and the MSG crowd, Lebron & Co. were probably dying for the 76ers to take that 7 seed.
  6. I can't wait to see Bryce at the plate tomorrow. I hope he turns out to be a great pro, but it's going to be almost impossible for him to live up to the hype.
  7. I recently got into watching the finales of series I enjoyed from the past. Yesterday I saw the finale to the 90's show "Dinosaurs." I remember loving that show as a child, and yesterday I was thinking thank god I never saw this as a kid.
  8. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that somebody named Kermit Washington actually played in the NBA.
  9. I'll actually refer to it as New Girl now...I just always referred to it as The New Girl without even putting any thought into that. From the looks of it seems like this has led to some rants in the past that I was completely unaware of.
  10. The New Girl may be my favorite new show in television. While it's not laugh out loud hysterical as other comedies I enjoy there is a certain undeniable charm to it. It might be Zooey Deschanel, or it might just be how enjoyable the three roommates are (specifically Schmidt). Either way it might be the half-hour comedy I most look forward to these days.
  11. I just finished up the series a week or so ago. From the first episode going forward I was absolutely hooked. Initially I thought the show was going to be more realistic like The Wire or Sopranos so I was actually disappointed when I saw the airplane scene in whatever finale that is. After that I suspended my disbelief some more, and that helped me enjoy the show a lot more. I actually think the most recent season was my favorite overall with my favorite scene being when Gus/Mike/Jesse visit the Cartel bosses in Mexico.
  12. I was personally pulling for The Office and The Sopranos throughout the tournament. I didn't expect either one to win, but they both won a few matches so I was happy about that.
  13. That was a fantastic episode. I am absolutely hooked by pretty much all the 7-8 different storylines. I know the story is far from over, but I keep expecting them to work towards conclusions. Instead, we get more and more twists and complications to the situation that makes the conclusion of the story seem further and further away. Great stuff.
  14. That guy definitely went around, but I agree with the idea that if it was close the ump was going to lean toward the pitcher. No way they put themselves through that Jim Joyce situation again. And I gotta say it was unbelievable watching the Yankees come back to beat the Sox. That had to be a kick in the gut to Bo-Sox nation.
  15. I personally voted for Breaking Bad & Arrested Development to meet in the finals, and that reminded me of one of my all-time favorite AD moments. Bob Odendrik (Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad) is Tobias & Linsday's therapist during couples' therapy. During the scene they role-play with Tobias acting as Linsday and Bob acting as Tobias. They get so caught up in their roles that they nearly passionately kiss one another until Lindsay yells "end scene!" Anyway, that was just a funny scene I always enjoyed that I like even more now knowing that Saul Goodman is involved in it.
  16. It's rumored that Dwight Howard might sit out the playoffs if Stan Van Gundy is the coach of the team. That is one of the most outrageous basketball stories I've ever read. The top star, and supposed top 5 player in the NBA, won't play because of his coach. His PR might take more of a hit than Lebron's.
  17. This is pretty old, but I saw it today and was cracking up.
  18. I read something yesterday saying that when Jamie Moyer was on the Boston Red Sox in 1996 he was the fifth oldest player on the team. It's crazy stuff he's pitching well enough to remain in the majors, although I wouldn't want him on my team.
  19. This has been a fun tournament although I'm not too thrilled with the Final Four here. I enjoy Community but I have a hard time saying it's anywhere close to my All-Time Favorite show, and while I also love Breaking Bad I don't even think it's the best show in it's genre (drama). Simpsons & AD have stronger cases for being the best, in my mind, but those two aren't really my favorites either. I'm at least happy that I've seen a lot of all of these four shows though...should be interesting.
  20. We've seen Phil Hughes be a very effective starting pitcher in the past, and I feel like he should be fine long-term. This makes me wonder though just how helpful these "innings limits" are. Scouts seem so concerned with making sure pitchers only throw a certain amount of innings so that they can be more effective and less likely to be hurt long-term. Yet these pitching limits seem to have messed up both Phil Hughes & Joba Chamberlain in recent years.
  21. 1) Community vs. 4) The Office (U.S.) 3) Walking Dead vs. 2) Seinfeld 9) Game of Thrones vs. 4) Breaking Bad 3) South Park vs. 15) Sons of Anarchy 1) The Simpsons vs. 4) Sopranos 14) Louie vs. 2) Scrubs 1) Arrested Development vs. 13) The A-Team 6) Futurama vs. 2) The Wire
  22. 1) Simpsons vs. 8) House 5) It's Always Sunny vs. 4) The Sopranos 6) Firefly vs. 14) Louie 7) 24 vs. 2) Scrubs 1) Arrested Development vs. 8) Mystery Science Theater 5) Parks and Recreation vs. 13) The A-Team 6) Futurama vs. 3) Friends 7) Twin Peaks vs. 2) The Wire
  23. I kinda want to run a tournament much like the best TV show one that's currently going on. Best Musical Artist or Best Movie might be too broad of a category so I'm wondering what you guys would think of the Best Musical Artist or Best Movie limited to the past 20 years or something?

  25. There's injury #1 for the Mets. Andres Torres looks like he aggravated an injury chasing after a fly ball.
