I hate that I'm so tense and nervous right now. After the thriller that was the 2014 final I really wanted to stop caring about Germany in particular and just enjoy a good tournament.

Nigeria messed up against Croatia, but showed a lot of heart in the other two games and I really wanted them to proceed. I hope they'll be back in four years. I expect Argentina to bumble their way to the final now.

And Maradona immediately shows me, why I want Argentina gone -__-

..and qualified for the next round anyway.

On the one hand I like it when a group is decided only in the last round of play with every team still having a chance to proceed, on the other hand I really want Argentina gone 😕

I, for one, think it's nice of Germany to keep up the tradition of European champions to throw the next World Cup following their triumph (like France in 2002, Italy in 2010 and Spain in 2014)

I hope Spain and Portugal are motivated to actually play each other, instead of just saving resources and sharing the points because they both figure they get 6 points easily from Iran and Morocco. I want to watch a real match between two top teams, not a 90 minute cease fire.
