  1. It definitely sucks, but probably better not to draw it out. Let's the Bucks get a new coach before the draft, and gives Bud some time to recover from the season and losing his brother, and not have to focus on basketball for a bit.

I'm loving how unpredictable these conference semi finals have been. I truly have no idea who is going to win any of the series.

  2. Question is, who? If somebody gives him a big contract, he'll never live up to it. And if he ends up taking a minimum deal, he'll be known as the guy who missed out, since he rejected an extension from the Grizzlies earlier in the season.

  3. I'll admit to not watching the game today, only a couple of highlights. And while Curry is great at pretty much everything, and I know my strategy would result in a bunch of fouls...but put a freaking body on him. If you give him any space at all, he's either dribbling the ball through you, or he's shooting it. Make him work more. Tire him out. Foul out your bench players, but get Curry as tired as possible, so that when you put your best defenders on him, he's not moving as quick.

This will at least result in him only scoring 35 or 40, not 50. Good luck with Klay and Wiggins.

  4. If the rumors of the Grizzlies trying to trade away Brooks at the trade deadline are true, I can see that playing a part in him not wanting to talk to the press. I'm also not a fan of the players having to talk to the press right after a game ends, especially if it's season ending, but at least Morant made the most of his it sounds like.

I'll always have a hard time rooting for the Kings. Too much early 2000s dislike still lingering.

  5. I swear when I went to bed last night, the Bucks were up by almost 20. Kinda mind blowing to wake up and see they lost. Heat/Knicks feels like we're back in the 90s but I kinda feel like whoever wins will get stomped by the 76ers or the Celtics.

Edit: just watched some highlights from the post game press interviews with Butler and Giannis. Reporters are dumb and that must be annoying as hell to have to talk to them, especially after your season ends. But, if you haven't, go look up Giannis' answer when the reporter asked if this season was a failure. Absolutely A+ class answers from him.

As it stands there's a ton of rumors the Coyotes will move, as they currently play in a college arena and can't get an arena plan in the Phoenix area squared away.

Houston has come up as a location, and obviously the NHL would love a team in the 4th largest city in the US. Salt Lake City definitely wouldn't be surprising, especially as it's growing.

Ottawa recently had its owner pass away and has a precarious arena situation as well, but doesn't feel as likely that they'll move anywhere. At least for right now.

Maybe more expansion is on the horizon, they had no trouble getting 2 more teams the last time around. Going for another 2 before the end of the decade wouldn't at all be surprising.

Nice, thanks for the information. Team wise, how good are Phoenix and Ottawa? Expansion would be awesome too, especially if we could do what the Las Vegas team did in their first couple of years.

  7. So, those more in the know about the NHL and the state of teams, are there any rumors out there about Utah getting a team? I know the Jazz's owner recently met with the NHL commissioner and he tweeted out that Utah getting an NHL team is "in motion." So, are we looking at an expansion team? Or a team relocating? What are the fans thoughts on a team coming to Utah?

At that point it's the start of the all-out expansion bidding war. Nashville feels a lock for a team either through relocation or expansion, will be very interesting to see if Austin, Portland, Salt Lake City, Charlotte, or Montreal (and I might be forgetting a rumored city) gets team 32.

There's a massive push here in Utah to bring a MLB team to Salt Lake City, backed by the former owners of the Jazz. Already have a stadium site, designs, etc. I'm not going to get my hopes up, as I feel the A's moving here would have been our best hope, but it would be awesome to have a pro team here.
