  6. Got to see Licorice PizzaΒ on 35mm last night which was pretty fantastic, worked perfectly for a film set in the 70s (I believe was also filmed in 35mm too, and not a digital manipulation). Really great film with some fantastic performances especially the two leadsΒ and an hilariously psychotic performance by Bradley Cooper.

  8. I'd given up the idea of going to a gig in Vienna whilst I still lived here, had almost 18 months of nothing, then had Monolord and Bohren Der Club of Gore cancelled on me due to lockdown. But now, in March, Celeste and Conjurer have announced a show here, and I'll be fine if that's my only show in Vienna before I move to SingaporeΒ πŸ˜„

  9. One of my early memories is Bat Out of Hell's cover art, we never had many albums at home, but that always struck me as 'holy crap' artwork,Β  it was different from all the other stuff (mainly my mums Celine Dion and Gloria Estefan albums). I'm glad I gave this a listen when I was kid as it was so different to everything else, and I think it set me off early on to always try a bit of everything musical, or purely based on bad assΒ album artwork!

I know this is old but I rarely venture into the music folder...

This feels really weird to me. 'Punk Rock Girl' is one of my favorite tracks, it's like, perfectly light and fun, and this take is really weird. Like, the twang makes it feel very strange to me. I dunno if I like it, and it's not like I dislike punk that dips into country influence, like all my favorite G.G. stuff is like that.

Also, since punk straddling genres got brought up, I know The Clash were mentioned, but, man, Joe Strummer was a fucking musical genius and could do anything. His solo work is amazing, The Clash are amazing. I know it didn't need to be said, but any time I have a chance to sing his praises I will.

When I was a young one, I actually heard the Diesel Boy cover of this on their album Sofa King Cool and for a good 15 years thought it was their own song. One of those 'I didn't realise it was a cover' events.

We need more shithouses in football.Β

Purely for the fact of A) if they're on your team you absolutely love seeing it and B) if they're not on your team you've got someone you can boo and moan about.Β

People would hate playing football against me. I was a bastard when I played eleven a side. If you can get in someone's head you've won half the battle already.Β

Robertson's shithousery vs Barca certainly helped with that tackle and head push. The man is an artist of shithousery.

  12. Really not a fan of this NFL style play off one gameΒ system now, bring back the the two leg knockouts, provided so much more drama (and more money, which is what MLS is all about).

Also, that 21 day lay off killed the 1st seedsΒ momentum, seems winning the league costs you the cup.
