IDLES' Crawler doesn't quite hit the heights of Brutalism or Joy... but it's much better than Ultra Mono and the hints at what they're gonna become as a band seems promising.
Agree on that, Joy is still on constant rotation for me, but this Crawler was a decent album that I really enjoyed more than Ultra Mono

Finally took the plunge on getting Riders Republic and after the generic intro stuff, it's turning into a super fun game, the mass online races are absolute carnage in an entertaining way, and it's probably the best extreme sports game I've played since Tony Hawk.

I saw something similar where someone was suggesting it was like a computer upscaled it and no one bothered checking the end result or just said 'close enough'.
In the example they had, I think there's a shop in vice city where the window has a display saying air guitars $200 but the remaster now says A15 Gutter or something.
Edit: found it, guitar Henk! https://www.reddit.com/r/GTA/comments/qrjl9w/guitarhenk_booths_avaiable/
From what I recall reading the vast majority of the upscaling was done by an AI system so that would explain a lot.

Looks like Rockstar have delisted the PC version for sale to fix bugs. It's been a wierd release for Rockstar, no real footage other than 59 seconds worth before release, no access to game reviews to early looks at it and give opinions, and now having to pull the PC version for bugs. It's like they're trying to do a Cyberpunk launch

The Stanley Parable is wonderful. All hail the Serious Room.
I'm looking forward to trying the Ultra Deluxe edition. -
Interesting move but a bit risky, if he messes this up, can't see him every taking over at Liverpool which I;m sure has always been the long term game plan, the Premier League is a hard hunting ground to survive in. Honestly hope he does well though.

this might be kind of basic, but historically i'd love to have seen The Rite of Spring on opening night
At first I thought you meant Rites of Spring from DC, that's a band I'd have loved to see live, and for a song by them "Drink Deep". They're all still alive so it could happen.
Historically, "Hammer To Fall" by Queen, with Freddie Mercury of course. It is the first song I remember hearing my dad play when I was 2 or 3 and it's just an immense song. -
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared
Not sure how I missed this the first time round as it's very much up my dark humour alley, but it's fantastic and now the songs are stuck in my head. A new series just wrapped recording for Channel 4 so I'm looking forward to more. For fans of Wonder Showzen, Salad Fingers and erm, David Lynch?

Has anyone played Rider's Republic yet? It looks like a hell of a lot of fun and something a bit different.

Whilst I've not had single gig since moving to Vienna, just had Bohren & Der Club of Gore announce a European tour here next month and finally get the chance the see them after 10-15 years of waiting.

I'm intrigued to see how they all look on the next gens, I'll probably hold off buying straight away but it'd be nice to revisit the games again. And I also hope it does well enough that Rockstar consider a remaster of The Warriors down the line (though it may bring major licensing headaches).

Mark Kerr is the only real player card in the board game Counter Attack so his legend lives on!
A board game that also features me under my Football Manager pseudonym!

I love how Keita is quickly becoming the guy who just spanks it on the volley and it goes in.

I'm dating myself, but Sensible World of Soccer is the non-FIFA pinnacle for me.
This, and also Striker on the SNES was a game I was obsessed with as you could play 5-a-side indoors.

LMA Manager! How could I forget that gem, this was a big fix for me when our family PC died and didn't get repaired/upgraded for a good year or two, my PSX was my only other outlet. Loved me some LMA.

I first game was CM 97/98 on MSDOS. I’ve bought/played every edition since then bar FM20.
A quarter of a century pretty much spent playing Championship/Football Manager on and off. Mental. No wonder why I can’t shake the addiction.
Before that I remember playing Premier Manager ‘95 on the Mega Drive not really fully understanding what I was doing but I loved it.
This is pretty much a mirror of me, I was always obsessed with building new stands in Premier Manager 95, and I miss those great scoreboard animations you'd get in game. My fondest memories of CM 97/98 was when a load of school mates would get a chance to stay at one of our houses overnight and really get into it on a multiplayer game. I fondly remember my mate buying Denilson from Real Betis from under my nose (I was a huge fan of him) and then we ended up playing each other in the FA Cup Semi Final, and Denilson missed the deciding penalty costing them the game. Never had I experienced such redemption and joy at the same time.

Cherno Samba. To Madeira. Kennedy Bakircoglu. Taribo West. Michael Duff. Mark Kerr.
These are legends you can never forget.
My friends bands name was 'Cherno' purely in honour of that legend.

The amount of extra meetings and email stuff now is becoming an overload.
The one little thing I want, is when a stadium is upgraded/increased capacity or even when a new stadium is built, give me option to choose the type of stands that appear on the in-game stuff. My Watford team are a leading European powerhouse, we got a new 70k stadium called 'Watford Stadium' and it looks like something out of the 70s with 4 individual stands and no corner connections.
As I say, I'm not even asking for a 'stadium builder' of sorts, just give me the option to choose from the database stuff. -

It's been a long while since I've been to Damnation, but that's a tasty line up and good to see a lot of friends playing.
Since I moved to Vienna in Aug 20, there hasn't been anything show wise really for my tastes, but finally some good stuff on the horizon, Sepultura in November, Monolord in December, The Ocean in January (I'm also considering Taake and Kampfar as well).

That's a shame but I can't say I blame them with the last year or two of production issues due to Covid.
I still have FM Touch on my tablet and it's a bloody god send when I'm only long flights. -
For me it's probably FIFA, it's the only sports game I play these days, I'd play more if they were more accessible (PC and Switch only), for example I'd love some decent MMA/Boxing games on the PC but it's all a bit dry.

Just finished Let There Be Carnage, a really fun 90 minute ridiculous film as I'd expect from a Venom Vs Carnage film.
