  1. I'm STILL hoping for my Howard the Duck reboot.
  2. Isn't that supposed to be a trait of her race, though? So that when they fly, the hair creates the fire effect? And I agree with Kirkland, her current outfit is ridiculous.
  3. Guardians of the Galaxy spoiler:
  4. And I agree with Jason and zero on the bubble thing. Names like Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine and now Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk are going to be known to almost anyone that's watching a movie. The quality of film may deteriorate over time, but no way will people get sick of them. Now, for after watching DoFP, I was a little letdown. It's really, really, really good, but considering First Class was way better in comparison, this one kind of was a letdown for me. Also, my biggest gripe I'm sure there are actually other gripes that might be bigger, but I can't remember them.
  5. I'm gonna leave this one to when I have a PS4. I have a huge backlog of games I still haven't finished on the PS3 and don't intend to buy any more PS3 games. But I definitely will be getting this one when I buy the PS4.
  6. As for "superhero fatigue", I think it's absolutely a thing. No genre remains consistently huge forever, and sooner or later the superhero "bubble" will burst. Marvel have the right idea in making many of their films stylistically very different from one another, rather than all just "this is another superhero movie", but it still won't last forever. I think people forget that comic book movies being taken seriously at all is a very recent phenomenon.
  7. The Wolverine Spoilers Actually, I don't think that's it. In the future...
  8. They always made it a Point that who dies in the Ultimate Universe stays dead. I personally think that the series has grown a lot since Miles took over the lead, i don´t need Peter and his Pals back, asides from Kitty they could all stay away for what i care. I was courius about the All New Ultimates because i liked all the build they did in the USM comics but to be honest the 4$ price point Marvel is bringing these days is something i don´t want to support. (I find it funny that my USM physical subscription that comes with a comixology code is cheaper than simply buying the digital version) I think the "Everyone stays dead" thing went out the window a while ago since
  9. ENDING SPOILERS: Thanks for the info, Livid and Avenged.
  10. Just came back from watching DOFP. It's good, but not great, I think there are better entries in the X-Men series (namely, X2 and First Class; I put this one on The Wolverine's level). The violence was off the charts, though, I think I've only seen one or two comic book movies that are more violent than this one (I believe Punisher: War Zone and Man of Steel are more violent, but this one is more graphic than Man of Steel). Still, pretty good X-Men movie and I think they did the DOFP story justice. Oh, and the after credits scene did its job: I'm hyped for the next one. Question: Is it known if it will be a present day X-Men story or a past X-Men story?
  11. Yeah, I second the "Storm is boring" line of thinking. Also, for someone who's supposed to be extremely powerful, she's really useless in too many stories. I think her most engaging stories were when she was depowered. Special useless points go to her stint in the Avengers. "We need someone to replace Thor while he's away, let's bring in Storm, she's as powerful as he is!" and the only mission she's in she spends 95% of the time unconscious. That worked out great. But I digress. Storm is one of those characters I never really cared for, and I don't see that changing soon.
  12. Not a hero, but I need more Paste Pot Pete in my movies. Just saying.
  13. What? Scientists are all known for spending more time in the gym than in the lab, dont'cha know?
  14. Some of the artwork is brilliant as well. Look at these gems: You should really just check out this site, it explains the Crossing a lot better than I can.
  15. Tony was replaced by a teenage version of himself during... The Crossing, just the event I'm almost up to >_> Spoilers for a almost 20-year-old event: That's the jist of it, I believe. See why I'm dreading to read it? Damn my comic book completionist side.
  16. Honestly, I didn't mind the Onslaught stuff. What came after it, though, with Heroes Reborn, was awful as well. But the actual Onslaught event, and even the character, I don't mind at all. But these Avengers stories... Though Cap could be even worse, but I still haven't read his books yet. The book I'm reading now, he just showed up with an armor, apparently with a terminal condition or something. That doesn't sound good at all. Also, I haven't actually hit the Crossing yet, but from everything I've read about it, I'm dreading it. Only a few books left...
  17. I've been in the process of reading all Avengers comics, and I'm in the 90s comics. Holy jeebus, this is painful to read. Like TKz said, 90s were really bad for comics. I grew up reading 90s comics and they didn't seem so bad at the time, but now that I have a way to compare them with other decades... This is really awful. Seems to me the Avengers were hit especially bad. I've already read Spider-Man and X-Men collections and, barring the Clone Saga, I really don't recall anything this awful in either of those collections. Leather jackets for everyone! "Cool" makeovers! Deathcry! The Crossing! Oy...
  18. I long for those golden days where men were men and people didn't have the internet to check if shows were any good. Am I such a sinner?
  19. I watched the Warriors after playing the PS2 game (I had no idea it was based on a movie when I bought the game). I remember finding it by pure chance, the only copy on the store, really cheap too. Bought it and didn't regret it. Also, come on, James Remar is obviously more known for being Rayden in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation than for being in Dexter.
  20. I'm not that bad! Now excuse me whilst I wade through this sea of video games I'll never play. It's getting hard to see the floor in my room lately. Pulley systems and hanged nets usually do the trick for clearing out room. You still need to watch your head, but it's, like, SO easier to move around.
  21. Yay, I got TKz's approval! Wait, I got TKz's approval. Now I'm worried
  22. From the little bits and pieces I've seen (a few clips here and there), seems like it's a show I'd like a lot. Not the first time I purchased a show without watching it (never regretted a purchase, though), and it really wasn't that expensive. Basically, if I didn't feel I'd like the show, I would never buy it. Still, what's done is done.
